It was a great concert. It was an outstanding performance, with personal anecdotes by the performaer and making references to Winnipeg and his travel experiences in Canada!
My husband & I found the Marty Stuart show to be one of the best shows we have ever attended in Wpg.. this includes shows presented at MTS & all the other theatres in town. We could not believe that he was on the stage for almost 2 hours with no break. His band received a break but Marty was on the stage performing for the entire show. What a fantastic performance by Marty & his band!
It was like going to Nashville without leaving home.
Marty is a incredable performer and musician.Marty knows how to work the crowd and make them part of the show.
We all enjoyed the show and we would go back to see him again if he returns to the casino. It was nice to hear some real country music instead of the stuff played on the radio today, because that sure isn't country.
When my husband and I went to see Marty Stuart I was not a big fan. I only went because my husband is a huge fan. When the show was over my fan status had definetly changed. It was an exstremely entertaining show. I would definetly go see him again.
He was sooo good! Nothing like sitting back with a cooler in your hand and watching good old country music! The "pickin" he does is so good, you get lost in it & forget about where you are, who you are & it's just you and him. His band is very entertaining as well! Cuzin' Kenny, well he is so "painfully shy" but the voice & the guitar playing that he does... well you just smile because you think how does that all come out of him! Anyway, great concert! And would see him again tomorrow if I could.
He is an amazing artist and songwriter. I grew up listening to his music and this is my second time seeing him in concert. Always does a wonderful job! :)
Apostle Kenny and Marty burned it up with their picking. Marty could have kept the honky tonkin' level a little higher but decided to get a little quieter with a Johnny Cash tribute as well as some gospel music. (I think he wanted to save a few casino patron souls.) Loved the Buck Owens inspired suits for the backing band. You youngin's could learn a thing or two about putting on a classy show. There show is a made for T.V. variety show just waiting to happen. Disappointed he didn't do Honky Tonking is What I Do Best, High on a Mountain Top and a few others.
Marty and the fabulous superlatives are an amazing group of musicians. After all his years performing, he still knows how to put on an awesome show. Him and the band had a meet and greet afterwards, he is truly a wonderful artist, he never rushed anyone through and took the time to talk to every person. A true legend - can not wait for him to come back to Winnipeg!!
Marty Stuart and his band The Superlatives were amazing to watch .I especially was astounded by his guitar player ,I think his name was Cousin Ken Lang.My wife and I loved the show and would go again when he comes back to Winnipeg.
Marty Stuart and The Superlatives always put on a great show. The harmonies were awesome and played a great variety of music. Great concert!
