My 7-year old daughter really enjoyed the show. It is light , fun and easy to follow, and there are no scary parts. The evening show was attended mostly by adults and even with the booster seat provided by the theatre, she could not see the stage. The theatre actually set up 2 chairs for us in a different location so that she could have a clear view. It was very helpful.
I loved the show. Everything from costumes, decors, artists, special effect, music, orchestra was "practically perfect"!! The venue sets the tone for what is to come. This is a beautiful theatre for a wonderful show. The artists give the most amazing perfomance and the voices are beautiful. What a huge array of talent and professionnalism. One of the best show have I seen.

I enjoyed the show except at times the British English was difficult to understand.

My bff and I love NYC, we go there every year to visit friends and family. This year was a special visit, she was celebrating her 40th birthday ! I wanted to take her to a broadway show, and I came across Mary Poppins ! What a great great great great ( I cant say enough) musical ! I have not seen the movie, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was entertaining, it was fun, such great talented actors ! I would highly recommend it, if you want to see something uplifting with your kids, your friends, your family !
We went a whole groupmof people ranging from 10 to 75 and we all enjoyed Mary Poppins a lot. Excellent singing and dancing and a plot that all can relate to. We will be back.
Absolutley loved it. It was fun and kept the attention of my Mom, my girls (7, 10). singing was great, the dancing was super and the set was amazing. Bert stole our hearts and May is 'practically perfect'. The Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious dance was fabulous and my girls have already you tubed it to learn it. Can't say anything bad about it.
Mary Poppins was a great play, and a wonderful way to revisit a childhood favorite Disney movie. The songs were toe tapping and the dancing was great - I wanted to get up and join them. So much energy and fun! I would totally recommend this play, even if you don't have kids.
Mary Poppins was spectacular. We would go again in a heartbeat. Sat dead-centre, first row of the mezz (seats 107-110) - VERY little leg room but the view was amazing . Highly recommend this production.
This event was by far one of the best I've seen. My husband and I live in Toronto and this was our first visit to New York and to theatre. It was so exciting. The tap dance by Bert up and down the walls and along the ceiling was amazing. Also, Mary's exit through the air was splendid. The only thing I do not like about seeing live productions of a classic are the changes made to the scripts and songs. The ballet dancers in tights were no comparison to the colorful merry go round in the movie that could easily have been replicated on stage. That was the only disappointing part to me. It is a must see. Great for everyone in the family, young or old. I saw it as a child and have not forgotten the words to most of the songs. I felt like singing along.
I took my 21 year old son to see this with me. It was a childhood favourite and we were thrilled to see it live. I think that everyone would enjoy this show.
I went to see Mary Poppins whilst on a short break to New York, truthfully I wanted to see Phantom another time for my girlfriend so was a little bit apprehensive thinking it would be childish. The set and special effects were the best I have seen. After seeing the show we debated for an hour that this was one of the best musicals we had seen. Having seen Les Mis earlier this year (my previous favourite). My only negative is that i would probably not take my niece who is 5 years old to see the show. I would happily go again with the family to see Mary Poppins. 5 star.
Great show - we saw the Sunday matinee, which often has understudies, and in fact, the title role was played by Elizabeth Derosa, who was so brilliant that I can only imagine the regular actress was incandescent! We all loved it, from 5 year-old on up. Missed the talking umbrella head, though.
Mary Poppins is my favourite of the Disney movies so I wanted to see it come to life. It was beyond my expectations and I felt myself smiling all the way through. I was very happy to learn that the story was different from the Disney production. The choreography was polished, the special effects were magical, the costumes and sets were dazzling and the singing and acting were awesome! It truly was an event for all ages!
We booked this show because we had a young one in our group, but we were all delighted to have had the chance to see the show. It was so much fun, and the music stayed with us for the rest of the trip. The performers were all fantastic. I recommend it without any hesitation.
We loved the performance of Mary Poppins! It was beautifully told, beautifully staged, set in a beautiful theatre. The backstory to the development of the stage play made it all that more interesting, and we loved how new pieces of music had been added, while other standby's found their way into different parts of the story. the actors were absolutely wonderful, with both leads performing beyond expectation. Those are two very demanding roles. We will go again when next in NYC. It was great!
The show was just fantastic...The cast, the costumes,the sets, everything was perfect! I would see it again anytime.
We had high expectations being a Disney production, but the show was even better than we expected - unbelievable sets, talented performers and a beautiful theatre. A wonderful night all around!
Wow, this is a must see...Set design, costuming, music, the actors- everything top notch. It will leave you skipping down the street! loved it.
