  • PERFECTION

by thecherifi on 2024-01-28Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I’m not a musical fan… and this show blew my mind away! It was so well written, the voices impeccable, the live band playing amazingly… can’t wait to have this experience again.

  • Experience was entertaining.

Well done. True to the original movie. Didn’t try to build on current popular or trendy ways of thinking. Desk choreography was impressive and the main character actors were well picked. Few mouth dropping moments brought shock factor and smiles to our faces. Nice work.

It is also my first time watching musical, it is amazing and worth to spend two hours sitting and enjoying this amazing talented people singing on the stage. I want to say this to all the performers and the producers. You all nail the stage!!!!! Love it!!!!!

  • HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

by Dennis on 2024-01-25Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I'm not much of a musical theatre person, but I was so WOWed when I saw Mean Girls the first time in Edmonton on opening night, I went again days later, and then I went to their last show in Calgary! It's so good, I never imagined I would love it this much! Very impressed with the acting, singing, dancing, choreography, the production value and the story of adapting one of my favorite movies into a Broadway musical. My favorites of the musical were Maya Petropoulos as Regina, and MaryRose Brendel as Karen. But everyone else was amazing and I hope to see this again later in the spring, and these actors have a bright future ahead! Highly recommend seeing MEAN GIRLS if it comes to your town! Trust me!

  • Great work

by New fan on 2024-01-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Great work and dedication from actors and crew. Really showed their efforts. We had the last row in the hall and still enjoyed the seating.

  • Great high energy performance

by Jack on 2024-01-24Rating: 5 out of 5

Really surprising to see the other reviews about not hearing the words. Came to the opening night in Vancouver, sat in Balcony, and thought the show was just amazing. Their vocals were loud and clear. Sound projected well across the theatre.

  • Just ok

by Cb on 2024-01-23Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

Loved mean girls in nyc! Hilarious! This one you could not hear the lyrics. So not as funny. I think it was the Sound system because we never had this problem in New York and our seats were much worse it’s possible as enunciation thing. Ironically, I found that I had the same problem with book of Mormon, which also has tempo songs that you couldn’t quite hear what they were saying/ singing.

What an amazing show! Had us engaged the whole way through- the talent was out of this world!

  • Funny

by Mamarigs on 2024-01-23Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

It was my first experience with Mean Girls. I knew absolutely nothing about the storyline. It was very funny. I was shocked at the language and innuendo and hoped that the young children in the audience didn’t understand! I could really only see the left side of the stage as the person in front of me was very tall.

  • Wonderful performers

by Marie on 2024-01-23Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

Wished I was closer as it was pretty great. Back row is too far away. Only thing I hated was the overly suggestive choreography that was unnecessary

  • Wonderfully done!

by BratNo2 on 2024-01-22Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

We have been fans of this movie for years. The musical did not disappoint. The cast of characters were all on point. Damien was hilariously funny, as was Karen. All their voices were magnificent. Well done!!!

  • Fun and entertaining

by Mike on 2024-01-22Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

Having listen to the soundtrack when it was originally premiered and living the book of music I was thrilled it came to Calgary. The principles were good with the person that played Janice her voice and character building was awesome. The sound was a bit off at the being making it hard to hear clearly some of the songs. This did get better as the show went on. Few minor slips of the ensemble (I’m one of those that watch the background and ensemble more than the main characters, just my things) which I’m sure no one really noticed. Overall I was entertained but not wowed like I expected.

  • Mean girls

by Kyle on 2024-01-22Rating: 3 out of 5

I saw this musical in Calgary Alberta Canada on January 21 2023 and didn't like it very much.. it felt like a mediocre high school play. The singing was really good but for majority of the show they were way to loud.. lines seemed rushed as well.

  • Honestly, I wish they didn’t veer so off of the original

by Rosie on 2024-01-21Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 2 out of 5

There were so many missed opportunities to keep the iconic lines we knew and loved. Some great topics. Definitely didn’t feel the iconic classic feel as the first movie.

  • Not meant for a mature audience

by McLola on 2024-01-20Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 1 out of 5

We left during the intermission. We had difficulty understanding the lyrics and the vocalist seemed to be straining their voices. I wish I had have realized that it was meant for a much younger audience. I would have given it a miss.

  • Perfect play to watch with my teenage daughter.

  • BEST EVER!

by Dennis on 2024-01-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

I had such an awesome time at Mean Girls Musicial in Edmonton, as I was so blown away by the performances, the production value and they way they adpated an iconic film into a Broadway musical too! I'm not much of a theatre person, but I loved Mean Girls so much that I saw the show 2 more times while they were and was lucky enough to meet some of the cast too! Highly reccommend to see this if it comes to your town!

  • For teens only

It was just okay. Definitely for teens. Not entertaining enough for adults. Dragged on.
