    Mean Girls a hit!

by Angie on 2024-01-17Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Loved having Tina face turn off the show the singing dancing choreography was incredible. Didn’t even realize the sets were changing from School to a house to a mall to Halloween. It all seem very seamless. Really enjoyed it.

    Fantastic

by Shalea on 2024-01-17Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Absolutely loved this performance. I was skeptical of the movie being made into a musical but i thought it was amazing. The cast was incredible. I felt everyone was well. Chosen for their rolls and did an excellent job. The production exceeded my expectations and I would go see it again for sure!!

    mother/daughter weekend

by NEUTRAL on 2024-01-17Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

My 17 year old daughter loved it, I however, lost interest a few times. There were some funny parts (mascot) and the cast was very talented. I would not see this production again. Very disappointed in the merch stand...

    Left at intermission

by Dh on 2024-01-16Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I went into this thinking I was going to enjoy myself. I was wrong. There was so little dialogue, everything was in song form. If I hadn’t seen the movie before this play I would have been so lost.

    A little disappointing

by Sioux on 2024-01-16Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The show was very fast paced and upbeat. I did find the characters spoke a bit too quickly so it was hard to understand some of the dialogue. Great prop changes and definitely an upbeat show.

    Sound was not good.

by Joe F on 2024-01-15Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

So we have been to many productions at the Northern Alberta jubilee auditorium and unfortunately this experience was not as great as the ones in the past. This is the first time we moved up to the first balcony and the first two rows and unfortunately it felt like the sound check person didn't do a sound check up there. Parts of it were very hard to hear the dialogue seemed rushed and then some of the singing high notes overpowering and very loud, overall we've had a much better experience down near the pit which is what we will probably do next time. Unfortunately those are experience this time does not justify the price of a tickets and as a result of that, I doubt I would recommend this production to friends of mine. Nothing against the cast or performances it's just if you're going to pay this amount of money to go to a musical I expect to sound to be much much better.

Shame on you, too cold, had to cancel

by Too cold on 2024-01-15Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

When the whole province is under an emergency cold alert tell people not to travel, I feel it should have been cancelled. My daughter is in a wheelchair and sadly it was just too dangerous to travel with her in the -40 with-45 wind chill temperatures. So we had to cancel and take a loss.

    Weak performance. Disappointed.

by Glenbobboy on 2024-01-14Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Difficult to hear what was being sung. Choreography repetitive and disjointed. We thought we were at a community theatre production.

    Good show

by G.C on 2022-11-22National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

It was a really good. I enjoyed the cast and the songs. I like how creative they were with some aspects. Also, I like how diverse the cast was especially Karen. The actress did a wonderful job. My only critic was the audio. The music was often louder than the actors. So, it was hard to hear them talk sometimes or sing. For example, I often could not understand when Regina George was talking or singing. Other than that, it was a lovely show.

    Disappointed

by Mama on 2022-11-05National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

I have been to many Broadway Across Canada performances at the NAC. This was by far the most expensive disappointing experience to date. Most of the performers where wonderful however the main character Regina was extremely difficult to understand both speaking but mainly when singing.Discussed with many of the patrons around us during intermission as my husband and I thought it was just us. Everyone was one the same page.we had very good orchestra seats so it wasn’t like we all could not hear her.

    Wrong gone right

by Em on 2022-10-27National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

My friends and I attended the final show of Mean Girls and at the start of the show they announced two understudies playing relatively large roles. Both actors did a fantastic job. Right before they started Act 2, they announced that Regina George would be played by a stand by, which was a little nerve wracking but the actor did a wonderful job carrying on the performance and over all it was a wonderful show. Orchestra and lights did outstanding jobs of portraying emotion through music and displays. Bravo :)

    We loved it

by Meredith on 2022-10-26National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Far exceed my expectations! My daughter and I went together as a replacement for a concert that was cancelled due to COVID, and we both loved it. Amazing talent, vocals, loved the music and updated story. Highly recommend to moms of tweens and teens particularly. Great message and conversation starter.

    Great show, poor audio

by DavidK on 2022-10-26National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

The acting, choreography, dancing and stage sets were all fantastic. The audio was the downside of the show. It was too loud and often very shrill during group singing. Understanding the lyrics was impossible. Many of the attendees we spoke with had the same comments. Too bad, it would have been nice to enjoy the whole show.

Singing wasn't great, but good comedy and set

by Robbie on 2022-10-24National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Many of the singers were really pitchy and not pleasant to watch. Thankfully the set design, comedy writing and jokes made the experience enjoyable.
