    Fun Experience

by Afterbus on 2023-04-25FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

The show was great, very entertaining for the kids. The biggest problem with the show was how over priced some items were. They were selling rainbow snow cones in a grave digger cup for $25. As soon as my one kid saw this at the intermission he instantly wanted one and couldn’t focus on the show any more, ruining the second half of the snow. I couldn’t justify buying two snow cones for $50

    The experience was worth it!

by Ethel on 2023-04-25FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

Everything was first time. My family, especially my son, had so much much. The crowds were engaging. Just make sure you bring some ear clogs as the noise might be unbearable for you.

    Great Show but Small Venue

by MunkySpunk on 2023-04-25FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

FirstOntario Centre is too small to have a monster truck show. Trucks barely have enough room to turn around. The trucks were cool and the amenities at the venue were great but just wish there was more room for the trucks to really show off.

    Setup not show

by Tingo on 2023-04-25FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

A good start but too much set up without activities to entertain. while the set up was going on for the motocross portion you should have had riders doing tricks not requiring the ramps. Also a lot of set up for little action. Did each go over the jump only four times. Lots of dead time during a two hour show. Charge much less or offer much more

    Kids loved it

by Happy on 2023-04-25FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

The trucks were great and the kids loved them. My problem is, the show was barely an hour, cost me $157 for 3 tickets and they just kept doing the same thing over the same mound of dirt in the middle. No crushing cars or doing anything different. Megladon was the best as he did a flip (was the only vehicle that did a flip at the 7pm 22 Apr 2023 show) and interacted with the audience having them clap like sharks. Waiting for the motorbikes to setup made it difficult for kids to be patient and again, they did the same thing over and over again, up the ramp down the ramp. Years ago, the show was so much better. Grave digger had something broken in the front end so he admitted to not being able to perform like he wanted which was cruddy for those who looked forward to him.

    GREAT time!!!

by Jozzy on 2023-04-25FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

Took my nephew and brother-in-law for their first ever Monster Jam experience and they surely didn't disappoint! From the opening intro to the final freestyle run, the environment was fun, interactive, family friendly, and absolutely electric!

    Always a Fun Show

by Jimbuktu on 2023-04-25FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

Given the size of the arena, it's not always as exciting as a larger field but they do pretty well with what they have. I love the interaction and audience participation. Give away a few more gravedigger spinny things!

Great show but lots of waiting and small arena

by AJ on 2023-04-25FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

The show overall was great. My son (4) is a huge monster truck fan and he was so excited to go for the first time. However the arena was a lot smaller than we were expecting. Which made the actually ramps and events a lot more minimal than we were hoping. However given the size kudos to the drivers and staff for pulling off some amazing stunts. However even though the event was roughly 2 hours there was some time in the middle to set up and takedown the motocross equipment and I would say probably only 1 - 1.5 hrs of the event was actually performance.

    Needs bigger venue

by MonsterDad on 2023-04-25FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

Good fun but the exhaust fumes quickly fill up FirstOntario Centre. And the arena is too small…so only one jump. The event should be moved to Toronto / Rogers Centre.

    Great show, could be improved

by Mom of Boys on 2023-04-25FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

The drivers put on a good show and kept us all entertained. My boys loved cheering for their favourite monster truck and were outfitted with apparel. We went for the pit pass first and my boys loved being able to see the trucks up close and meet their favourite driver. However, despite being there right at opening, we only made it through one line up for autographs before being told that we couldn't make it through any other line before the pit was closed. I paid a premium for the pit pass - consider limiting tickets to this so that you can actually take advantage of more than one lineup, or extending the time in the pit. Was a disappointment to pay all that money for the pit pass, to only make it through one autograph line up. Also, something really needs to be done about the traffic leaving the event. Have someone assisting with traffic outside the event centre. We were in the Jackson Square underground parking lot right beside First Ontario Centre and we were stuck down there for over an hour, just to get out of the parking garage, given the high level of traffic trying to exit

    Mediocre

by Leesa on 2023-04-25FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

Overall the trucks were good, some ended up not doing we well as we’d thought. Ventilation was extremely poor at this venue, I struggled to breathe also we couldn’t see the commentator at all.

    Not a Big show

by Mike on 2023-04-25FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

First Ontario Place is too small for this show. The trucks barely got off the ground, didn't do any crazy tricks for fear of hitting the other trucks and the stands. I saw Monsterjam at the SkyDome years ago and it was 100x better due to the increased space. They also spent 30 mins blowing up a landing ramp for motocross, and spent 20 mins jumping dirt bikes, which btw are not monster trucks. Show was only 1hr 45 mins was claimed to be 2 hrs. It was maybe 40 mins of trucks. No donut competition, no crushing of cars. All 9 of us that went were disappointed.

    Was cool but...

It was an okay performance. I have been attending this event for a few years now . There have been better performances in the past.

Monster trucks in a small cage

by Fan on 2023-04-25FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

The show itself is fun and exciting - the arena floor space was way too small for the trucks to really show what they can do though… the motocross halftime show was cool, but seemed like a long time to wait for set up between the two very short intervals of accrual monster trucks. I’d rather see this a better venue where there is room to do big jumps and see an actual performance of the drivers skills.

    Had a great time!

by KJ on 2023-04-25FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton

I (the female), took two young boys and my husband to the show- To my surprise, I think I had more fun than all three of them! The venue was small, but it was so cool to see the trucks up close and do their tricks. We watch Monster Jam on TV all the time, but it was much more thrilling to see it in person-everything seemed more extreme and defying. It was loud, but you really only needed ear protection when the engines would rev. That would be loud. Merchandise was surprisingly decently priced and even the ear protection for sale was cheaper than the local Wal-mart. The event was 2 hours with a 40 minute intermission -which saw motocross bikes soar through the air. It was the right amount of time for the show-leaving us wanting more, not dragging it out in between and making us bored. Definitely recommend.
