Great event, not the best venue

by Wtmac on 2022-08-24GMC Stadium (formerly known as Stampede Grandstand) - Calgary

Monster jam always is a great show. Stampede park is a little small for monster jam. Saw the show in Edmonton at commonwealth; and the difference was noticeable, especially during freestyle and the racing events. Got tickets to the pit pass, definitely worth it, was awesome. Would be great to see the show move to McMahon next time.

We had a great time!!! It was loud and awesome!!! We didnt get our tickets checked for the pit party or the show. We also had a worker be very aggressive with us when we tried to get in line for megaladon, there was still people in the LINE!!!! i disliked her very very very much!!!

Main show great Pit Party a disappointment

by Tamara T on 2022-08-24GMC Stadium (formerly known as Stampede Grandstand) - Calgary

The main show was fantastic and our son loved it. The pit party was a waste as we didn’t get to see it. Without advertising as such they cut off entrance 15 minutes early so we didn’t even get to go in. Had this been advertised we could have planned to be there earlier. Waste of $60 and super disappointed that there was no prior communication regarding this.

Not having the video screen really took away from what was otherwise a great event as always

    Great experience

by Cf2682 on 2022-08-24GMC Stadium (formerly known as Stampede Grandstand) - Calgary

Took my 2 boys and they loved every second of it. 3 days later and they are still talking about it and going next year. Can't wait and I hope they can bring northern nightmare out of retirement for the Canada tours

Good fun but avenue was lacking

by Roger on 2022-08-24GMC Stadium (formerly known as Stampede Grandstand) - Calgary

Kids loved it, although I was disappointed we don't get the cool stuff like car crushing or jumping, felt a bit mellow. Venue needs to get their act together, hour line for food at the 15 minute breaks, vendors super slow. The merch stores ran out of merch by the end of the show.

    Too short

by Dave on 2022-08-24GMC Stadium (formerly known as Stampede Grandstand) - Calgary

$45 for less than 2hours of entertainment. Ad states 3pm to 7pm. Actual show was 315 to 4:50 pm. Family of 5 costs me $250. Will not do it again. False advertising for mediocrity show.

    Awesome Monster Jam show

by Parker Pan on 2022-08-24GMC Stadium (formerly known as Stampede Grandstand) - Calgary

Meet and greet with the drivers was excellent, except that even though we were among the first in the gate, we were five people back of where the line was cut off to meet the last driver in the show’s lineup. Those we did meet were authentically happy to talk to fans, and my autistic son had an amazing experience! The rain at halftime just added to the mudslinging for the donut challenge, and the hosts were incredible at keeping the crowd’s spirits up.

    save your money

by ADRIAN on 2022-08-23GMC Stadium (formerly known as Stampede Grandstand) - Calgary

Paid for the pit party passes. No one was checking for pit party passes when you entered so everybody was in the infield! Pit party pass or not. The pit opened up at 12:30 and the lines were so long because of this, for photos and autographs the security staff was cutting off the lines at around 1:30. The lines took about 35 minutes to get through. So basically got 2 autographs for the nephews. The show itself starts at 3 and ends at 5pm Sharp! I guess I just expected a bigger and better show.

No freestyle motocross??!! Calgary Saturday 2022

by S. R. on 2022-08-23GMC Stadium (formerly known as Stampede Grandstand) - Calgary

Last year (or year before?) there were quads and dirtbikes racing and doing tricks! I think it was a 3-hour show! This year, there was ONLY monster trucks--which was great, but I feel like I paid for more. Don't think I'll make much effort to come back.

    Calgary venue terrible

by Kari on 2022-08-23GMC Stadium (formerly known as Stampede Grandstand) - Calgary

Its wans't monster jams fault but Calgary had so much construction thay parking took over 1 1/2 and most people were late for the event. Shouls have been a warning on any of the sites to take the train. The event syart at 3 with less then half the people in the stadium. It was a sold out show. We got to our seats 20 min late and the people next to us were 1 hour late for the show. Such poor planning by calgary stampede. Wont buy tickets for events there again.
