MOTLEY CRUE IN CONCERT:

After more than three decades of headbanging, heavy metal bad boys Motley Crue announced that 2015’s The Final Tour would be their last ever, giving fans one final opportunity to see Tommy Lee and company in the flesh before the curtain falls for good. The band has always been a revered live act for their showmanship and over-the-top performances, but their 2013 shows were their biggest and fieriest yet, featuring pyrotechnics beyond fans’ wildest dreams – including the late Nikki Sixx’s legendary flamethrower bass. With 72 North American dates in 2014 and international dates to follow, the Crue are doing it big in true form, burning bright to the very last guitar solo.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in LA in 1981 by guitarist Nikki Six and drummer Tommy Lee, Motley Crue was quickly rounded out with the addition of lead guitarist Mick Mars and singer Vince Neil. The band became notorious in the early ‘80s for their glam image and hard partying lifestyle, but it was 1983 sophomore album Shout at the Devil that made them international superstars. 1985’s Theatre of Pain and 1987’s Girls, Girls, Girls would prove even more successful, spawning ‘80s hard rock staples like “Smokin’ in the Boys Room” and “Home Sweet Home.” With 100 million albums sold worldwide, Motley Crue endures as one of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time, making their 2014 farewell tour a bittersweet last hurrah for their legions of fans.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“Motley Crue still rules the rock scene after 30+ years of recording and performing. They played songs from virtually all albums and song selection was sure to please any Motley fan.”

“Motley ALWAYS delivers an amazing show. Seeing the Crue doing what they do best in Sin City couldn't have been any better. The pyro was over-the-top amazing.”

“This Motley Crue concert was the best Crue concert ever. The fire and pyros were awesome. They really outdid themselves. They sounded great too.”

Overall Great, but Motley Crüe sounded horrible

by Dave on 2022-09-20Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

The first 3 bands were great and sound was awesome and clear. When Motley Crüe started playing it sounded horrible. Bass was overpowering loud and muffled, and Vince’s lack of volume was almost better than when you heard his struggling out of tune voice.

    Worst sound ever!

by Jperry on 2022-09-19Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

I’m sure the bands sounded great but the echo from the speakers was so bad where we were sitting you could hardly identify what songs they were playing. When the singers spoke into the mics you couldn’t understand a word. I have been to other concerts at this stadium and the sound quality was a thousand times better. And we were so excited to hear these iconic bands. I’m a big Crüe fan and we ended up leaving half way through their set. By far the worst concert I have ever been to.

    Cattle drive

by Fred Zeppelin on 2022-09-17Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Arrived early by bus, entrance lines were not managed, very long, merch lines were confused with entrance lines. Sound was terrible, it would woft in and out. Beverage lines were ridiculously long and the venue was so congested and hot. Security staff were amazing. Bar staff were amazing. Vince Neil sounded like an angry banshee.

    Great show, Motley was ok

by Rockergrrl on 2022-09-16BC Place - Vancouver

First off, my only real complaint is i didn't have the abilty to save/share my tickets for my party with my party (print?) Without doing a bunch of steps that ended up not working for me anyway. Please bring back ability to print. Show was awesome except Motley was too fast for Vince to keep up to half the time lol. He sadly can't sing anymore like he used to and should just retire.

by Slim Shady on 2022-09-16BC Place - Vancouver

I loved the show. It was a lifetime experience.

by Kimboslice on 2022-09-15Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

The show was amazing but 30 min to let in that large amount of people into the stadium is not enough time to get situated. Being a hot day as it was the venue would have made a ton of money on selling food and water seeing as the email said show up for 2 and enter gates open at 3:30. Need proper times for when merchandise goes on sale so we could get in line accordingly.

Worst part of the Stadium Tour

by Smitters on 2022-09-15Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Where's Vince Neil's voice? Time for him to retired - Every act before Motley was great, we could hear the words and nothing wrong with the sound system. We were most excited to see Motley and boy was it a disappointment. Vince Neil sounded like a mouse and the words we could hear sounded like gibberish. His team clearly knows as they turned his mic down and the music up as well as did "crowd-karaoke" we came to hear the band, not the crowd scream the songs. Thoroughly disappointed and so was abut 30% of the people there who got up and left 5 minutes into their act.

    Somewhat Disappointed

by Speeddemonsledder on 2022-09-15Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Motley Crue was not the best band on the stadium tour. We were so looking forward to hearing the Crue again but Vince let us down. The voice and energy is no longer there and set list could have been better. Unfortunately Poison and Def Leppard out performed the Crue and the headliner for the tour should have been changed up.

    Sadly, the Crue should retire

by Barbarelton on 2022-09-15Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Joan Jett still has the pipes and was phenomenal. I was never able to see her live before and she didn't disappoint. Brett Michaels (Poison) was the most engaging with the audience. Their energy was contagious! Thoroughly enjoyed their set. Def Leppard was crisp and on point, even though I wasn't really into their new stuff. It was listening to them on CD in my living room. Third time seeing them! Motley Crue should retire. I'm very sad to say that because they were one of my most favorite bands. Nikki and Tommy were entertaining as always, Mick was a character from the walking dead, Vince was struggling. Between songs the stage went black for several long seconds. Which left me wondering if it was because Vince needed oxygen. Play set was Great though. Thanks for the memories.

    very disappointed

    by C. M. on 2022-09-14Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

too many line-ups with no security or guidance, it was absolute chaos doors opened a mere 30 minutes before the show, not enough time people stood behind us in our section (FF) constantly smoking cigarettes as this was the merch lineup saw one cop looking for smokers but no one was chastised for smoking cigarettes, vapes, or joints exiting was a nightmare with several signs marked EXIT with no exiting allowed, again had to walk forever through people smoking a variety of things sound echoed really badly, never again would I attend with such terrible seats, will pay more next time

    Stadium Tour Fabulous

by Lucia on 2022-09-14Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Drove 18 hours to Edmonton AB to see this show it was totally worth it . Def Leppard, I have seen them many times and they never ever dissapoint Joe Elliott can still deliver those notes when needed. The other three bands it was my first time seeing them, Poison , you guys know how to interact with the crowd, Brett Michaels thanks for making us all feel like we are right up there on staqe with you. Joan Jet, you go girl you are still everything that represents women in the rock industry.. Motley crue you still are a crazy bunch of guys with a little grown up sweetness in you who can still put on a great show. Thanks for taking us all down memory lane... All I can say is "Lets do it again"

    Amazing concert except...

by Kwjr on 2022-09-13BC Place - Vancouver

Other than saving by far the worst for last with Motley Crüe, this was such a great night! Absolutely no clue why they are headlining this tour. Vince Neil’s voice was awful live and he didn’t actually even do a lot of singing overall, frequently just holding his mic up for the crowd and backup singers to sing. Tommy Lee is a joke. Whereas the other bands and even Nikki Sixx were all classy in their audience interaction, his mic time consisted almost solely of rambling on about his online d*** pics and t****s. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts sounded great, Poison was awesome and full of energy(CC Deville was fantastic!) and Def Leppard absolutely owned the night!! Why they were not headlining this tour is beyond me and judging by the amount of people around us who left during Motley Crue’s set, we were not alone in feeling this way.

No more Motley Crüe for me

by Shauna on 2022-09-13Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Motley Crüe, the sound was terrible, Vince Neil’s voice was awful could not understand a word he sang. Maybe time for him to retire. We left before they were done. Def Leppard was great, sound system was a little off. Poison and Joan Jett were really good could understand what they were singing, sound system was good.

    WORTH THE WAIT

by Broncogrrrl on 2022-09-12Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

All the acts in this shiw, ie. Classless Act, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Poison, Def Leppard and Motley Crue, went above and beyond to give us a F A N T A S T I C show. I wouldnt change a thing, except it would have been nice if the stadium would have opened the doors sooner so that ALL the acts cojld have had an audience, and to allow attendees enough time to visit the merchandise and concession booths so that they didn't miss each performance.

    Mötley Crüe

    by A. K. on 2022-09-12Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

The venue was great the concert was great they ran out of water and food on the floor the lineups were too big to buy merchandise there should’ve been more merchandise tables throughout the venue. As well the lineups for food water and alcohol were outrageously long you can enjoy the concert if you spend half the time in a lineup
