About

Mumford & Sons have catapulted to stardom with their captivating mix of bluegrass, country and rock, enchanting audiences with their soaring harmonies and catchy pop melodies. The English folk rock band’s second album Babel was released in September 2012, debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. and U.S. with the hit single “I Will Wait.” The album also took home the Grammy Award for Album of the Year and in 2013 the band won the Brit Award for Best British Group. The band consists of Ted Dwane on vocals, string bass, drums, and guitar; Ben Lovett on vocals, keyboards, accordion, and drums; and Marcus Mumford on lead vocals, guitar, drums, and mandolin. They formed in late 2007 in West London, and put out two EPs in 2008, Love Your Ground and a self-titled effort. Those EPs garnered interest in the U.K. and the U.S. and led to opening slots on tour with Laura Marling and Johnny Flynn. Mumford & Sons’ debut studio album, Sigh No More, was released in late 2009 in the UK and early 2010 in the U.S., peaking at No. 2 on both the U.K. Albums and Billboard 200 charts. The album sold over three million copies in the U.S. alone on the strength of hit singles “The Cave,” “Little Lion Man” and “Winter Winds.” They also earned two Grammy Award nominations, one for Best New Artist and the other for Best Rock Song for “Little Lion Man,” and won the Brit Award in 2011 for Best British Album. A worldwide headlining tour followed with the likes of Fanfarlo and The Middle East. Mumford & Sons released their fifth studio album Rushmere on March 28, 2025, and will support it with their 2025 North American Tour that kicks off in June.

Great show and the weather was super! Good vibe everywhere on the street even after the show.

  • Better Get there early

by AgeG on 2013-05-26Holland Park - SurreyRating: 2 out of 5

Mumford and Sons were incredible sounding, but unfortunately I didn't get to actually see them, because the venue was not suited to accommodate 25,000 people. I could not see the stage at all, it was heartbreaking to get to the venue and know that no matter how much I push forward, I will not be close enough or tall enough to see over the crowd to actually get a glimpse of the stage. I would recommend getting there very, very early as this venue is flat and is not suited to accommodate crowds over 12,000.

  • I cried.

This was the greatest ever wow, don't even want to think about it because I get too emotional. Front row. Amazing. Beautiful. Life changing. You rock never change.

The most inspirational, fun and invigorating night of music, ever!

  • Incredible concert

by RachelleG on 2013-05-26Holland Park - SurreyRating: 5 out of 5

I had forgotten how wonderful it was to hear a band actually play their instruments and sing. So much of the concerts today are all about the production effects. However, these guys sounded even better than on their CD. I absolutely loved how they played their final song with their 2 amazing warm up bands.

  • Mumford and Sons were phenomenal!

by McJohnson on 2013-05-26Holland Park - SurreyRating: 5 out of 5

It was really nice to have this concert outdoors, have great weather, and so close to home! It was a great venue, lots of fun, and the show was AMAZING. It was phenomenal. Love Mumford and Sons live and would recommend. Sooooo worth it.st

  • Tired of bad concerts? Sigh no more and watch M&S.

    by Timmyp112 on 2013-05-26Holland Park - SurreyRating: 5 out of 5

These guys know how to put on a good show. It doesn't have as much of the fancy gimmicks that are so prominent in the other big name shows, but they don't need it. These guys really know how to rock! I will see them again. I can guarantee it.

  • Extremely talented band

by LTMumford on 2013-05-26Holland Park - SurreyRating: 4 out of 5

The band was absolutely amazing. Extremely talented and amazing live. Did not like the venue because I couldn't see a thing and there were too many people. Probably wouldn't spend so much for an outside venue again. No seats, basically a free for all.

  • Best concert in the last year...

    by SantanaFan61 on 2013-05-26Holland Park - SurreyRating: 5 out of 5

I thought the sound was amazing, in my opinion it brought their recordings to life in a way that makes me want to come back for more. Crowd pleasers for sure, technically accomplished and highly engaging. The outdoor venue was good and the corresponding ticket price offered great value! Glad the weather cooperated!

  • Mumford and Sons Awesome!!!

  • Mumford & Sons = great experience!!!

by RachBC on 2013-05-26Holland Park - SurreyRating: 5 out of 5

Wow, I mean WOW!!! This is truly the BEST concert I have ever been to. Holland park was a great venue, we were so close to the stage and could see everything. Mark Mumford is an amazing performer, he sounds exactly like his recorded self, which really means he is an authentic artist. The passion these guys have is unreal. By the time the concert finished I was wishing they could just start all over again! The crowd was so thrilled when M&S came in stage and would hardly let him song without the 25,000 of us accompanying him :) I will most definitely be seeing these guys again. I have been following them since before they were popular and I'm so glad that they are successful. Amazing show. Amazing group. For the love of music, please buy their albums and see these guys when you have the chance! They won't disappoint :)

by GoRaptors on 2013-05-26Holland Park - SurreyRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent venue - weather was perfect! Holland Park was an excellent choice for this type of concert - easy going - carefree crowd with no major incidents - everybody happy and friendly. Mumford and Sons were incredible! Played almost all of their songs! Great energy - light show added to the atmosphere - loved how the band members played many different instruments - a true band - true artists - harmonies altogether were perfect - well done Mumford and Sons and thanks for a memorable night in Surrey - you were very gracious and and inspirational! Well done!

AMAZING SHOW! Not only was Mumford & Sons incredible, but their opening acts were as well :) M&S displayed terrific showmanship, they were incredible entertainers and gracious performers! I would love to see them live again. Holland Park made for terrific venue as well.

  • Great Band!...Questionable venue

by Anonymous on 2013-05-26Holland Park - SurreyRating: 3 out of 5

Mumford and Son's are awesome!!!...great music and truely professional musicians!!!...they are a fantastic band that have earned their chops and all the acolades...however the venue is terrible...Mumfords music is very intimate and subtle... this is lost in this large out door venue...Holland Park is not set up for this type of event...poor sight lines lends to a frustrating experience!!...and the sound was also poor...a proper outdoor ampi-theater with contoured grounds allow for everyone to see and experience the music properly...there are venues in Vancouver that would have worked better but probably would not fit 25,000 people...so in the end > it looks like a cash grab and an overall poor experience.

  • Mumford did an amazing job

by TRabbit on 2013-05-26Holland Park - SurreyRating: 3 out of 5

Mumford and sons did an amazing job. They are an incredible band to watch live. Only compaint is 25000 people is a little to much. Place was overpacked.

  • Gentlemen of the Road

by Boot on 2013-05-26Holland Park - SurreyRating: 4 out of 5

Excellent band - amazing sound. Shame we couldn't see them (aside from screens). Staging was way too low and even the screens directly above the stage were blocked out by tall heads now and then. I'm 5'8" - so felt sorry for the shorty gals. Made for a lot of neck craning. Suggest big screens to the left/right of stage - mounted off technical crew scaffolding. Still, we love the music, flawless performance - and The Weight at the end was a bonus. Thank god for sunshine!

  • Mumford and Sons were awesome but way too crowded.

by Anonymous on 2013-05-26Holland Park - SurreyRating: 4 out of 5

Music was awesome but event was way too crowded. It would be have been a lot better had there been 25% less tickets sold. Wouldn't go back unless they scaled back the event.
