About

Mumford & Sons have catapulted to stardom with their captivating mix of bluegrass, country and rock, enchanting audiences with their soaring harmonies and catchy pop melodies. The English folk rock band’s second album Babel was released in September 2012, debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. and U.S. with the hit single “I Will Wait.” The album also took home the Grammy Award for Album of the Year and in 2013 the band won the Brit Award for Best British Group. The band consists of Ted Dwane on vocals, string bass, drums, and guitar; Ben Lovett on vocals, keyboards, accordion, and drums; and Marcus Mumford on lead vocals, guitar, drums, and mandolin. They formed in late 2007 in West London, and put out two EPs in 2008, Love Your Ground and a self-titled effort. Those EPs garnered interest in the U.K. and the U.S. and led to opening slots on tour with Laura Marling and Johnny Flynn. Mumford & Sons’ debut studio album, Sigh No More, was released in late 2009 in the UK and early 2010 in the U.S., peaking at No. 2 on both the U.K. Albums and Billboard 200 charts. The album sold over three million copies in the U.S. alone on the strength of hit singles “The Cave,” “Little Lion Man” and “Winter Winds.” They also earned two Grammy Award nominations, one for Best New Artist and the other for Best Rock Song for “Little Lion Man,” and won the Brit Award in 2011 for Best British Album. A worldwide headlining tour followed with the likes of Fanfarlo and The Middle East. Mumford & Sons released their fifth studio album Rushmere on March 28, 2025, and will support it with their 2025 North American Tour that kicks off in June.

It was the most incredible concert! Even the seats behind the stage were great. Would go see them again anytime ever!

  • Exceptional Mumford and Sons

by KerrylovesMumford on 2013-05-23Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

As in the shows we saw in Vegas and Hollywood Bowl M&S were their usual high energy selves. The energy and fantastic song writing put them alongside The Beatles, U2, and the Stones. Unfortunately, their fame has led them to using all the lights and other props when their energy and music is enough. Having had seats at other venues and having to stand made it less enjoyable than other shows and locations. I hope to see them again but in a more suiting environment where you can see true musical talent. Loved the show.

  • Fantastic yet too short

    by Mumfordfan25 on 2013-05-23Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

The boys sounded incredible, every song sounding better live than on the albums. The only complaint I have is that the concert was far too short at just over an hour and twenty minutes, in addition to some key songs not even being played. With only two albums of material to work with I almost expect every song from both of them to be played plus a cover or two to bring the playtime closer to two hours, although I would have been satisfied with anything over an hour and a half.

  • Mumford and Sons was a show not to miss!!

by Kwantum on 2013-05-23Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Time seemed to fly by too quick and before we knew it, the show was finished. They put on a spectacular show that moved the audience and kept them on their feet. No time for sitting down!

  • Mumford & Sons had us on our feet from the get-go

by MumofMumfordFan on 2013-05-23Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

The playlist was perfect. The atmosphere fantastic and the sound was probably the best I can remember from anyone at the Saddledome. Loved everything about the concert. Just a shame the ticket purchase process here in Calgary is such a mess. Really wish there was a better system.

I took my son for his 11th birthday and is was an unforgettable night for me. It took us about 7 hours to get there and I would do it again in a heart beat! The music was amazing and the venue was great. Dancing under the stars to Mumford and Sons. It really doesn't get much better.

  • AWESOME!!!

by stajanfan on 2012-05-07Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

OMG! Mumford and sons put on an absoloutely amazing show. I was so impressed with the sound quality and energy the boys brought to Toronto. It was their biggest show as of that date, and I couldn't believe they sold out the ACC. They're new songs sounds great and I can't wait for their next album. God, can he sing! He sounds better live then on their record. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I can't wait for them to come back!

  • Awake My Soul

by alnsh on 2011-11-16Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The band was absolutely unforgettable. As someone who has been to 60+ shows in my life, all bands I was a big fan of, I can still safely say this one blew the rest out of the water. Mumford & Sons take the raw passion of their music and bring it flawlessly to the stage, each song feeling like a unique experience that you don't want to end. It's impossible to tell the difference between the perfect tone in the stadium to that of each track on the "Sigh No More" record. I had vowed to never attend another arena show, but sadly missed the (barely passed) days of Mumford's more compact venues. This was their second show of such caliber, and their humble attitudes that came with that made the experience all the more heartwarming. I was amazed with not only the out of body experience the show brought, but how the band unceasingly reminded the audience of how grateful they are to be there (and staring at Marcus for 2 hours wasn't all bad either). The new music was also excellent. The only thing I would have changed about the show is more interaction with the audience. Not that there wasn't a massive togetherness brought on by the music alone, and the cute gestures made by the band, but I would like to have seen some audience sing -alongs, since they really have the perfect music for it. But it's understandable since they aren't used to such big shows. I can safely say that if I had the financial means, I would follow this band around North America and see them every night. I highly recommend anyone who appreciates them in the slightest to see them at least once. It's an experience you won't forget.

  • The gentlemen of the road did not dissapoint!

by silvercar on 2011-11-07Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Mumford and Sons played live in Toronto at the ACC on October 25th, 2011, and it was the best concert I have ever seen in my entire life. The bands opening were both fun and entertaining, and mumford and sons themselves were incredible. I had been anticipating the moment I will see them live, and this concert did not dissapoint. It was amazing. There aren't enough adjectives in the world to describe them. The stage set-up was awesome, the sound was lovely, the band was beautiful, and the feeling was incredible. I loved every moment of it, and wish it was not over. I recomend EVERYONE to go see them live when they come around again!

  • Mumford & Sons - Talented band, terrific show!

    by Suz2032 on 2011-11-02Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing, Awesome, Brilliant! Mumford & Sons put so much energy and heart into their music, creating such a warm and joyful atmosphere. Marcus said, "Have fun!" and indeed that's what everyone had at the ACC on Oct 25th, 2011. I had such a great evening!!!

  • Mumford and Sons were mesmerizing!!!

by scorpyo on 2011-11-02Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

What an amazing band! Such raw, uninhibited talent! Such melodious harmonies! An unbelievably thrilling experience! What a humble, grateful bunch!

  • fantastic musicians

by scotrock on 2011-11-01Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

What a show. I liked their music before I went but since the show I love them even more. They are a nice bunch and were clearly taken a back by the reception Copps gave them. Everyone was on their feet as they finished with The Cave. They sounded even better than the album or radio. Can't say enough good things.

  • amazing show!

by LoveMumfordNSons on 2011-11-01Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Disappointed with Ticketmaster. Made you believed you had seats on your tickets on the floor - but it was just general admission. Very misleading and disappointing. I guess they like to trick their customers.
