Mumford and Sons put on a high energy show.
by Stubert on 2010-02-16Lee's Palace - TorontoMumford and sons, a British import rock-folk band, put on a fun, high energy show that inspired crazy audience interaction and the loudest cheering for an encore that I have ever heard. They played songs form there debut album, just released, but also a few 'untitled' songs that have yet to hear the sound of day. It is great to see a band that is enjoying themselves, and they were having a great time. The opening band, The Sunparlor Players, were also a huge hit with there folk-rock dirty base driven music. Their final song had the lead singer red faced, sweating and winding the crowd into massive applause, giving the audience one hell of a finale. Opening bands can be hit or miss this was a huge hit. To be different they not only sold there album(on both CD and Vinyl) but also sold homemade preserves. I proudly claimed the last 'handsome strong mustard'. Overall this show was amazing and since it was one of there only shows in Canada on the audience received a rare treat. If they return to Toronto make sure you have tickets because next time they will be selling out quickly.
