New lead singer was awesome..Deo with a little White Snake singing Nazareth Tunes WHOOOOOPPPP
Fantastic, the singer owned it. Great to see the rest of the band as well. The musicians sounded very fresh and not old and tired. I was absolutely NOT disappointed with the act at all even though i thought i might be. The sound itself was great!!! No problems there whatsoever. The security was very clean (uniforms) and friendly and wow they keep the bathrooms clean there!!!!!!!! Every time i used the facilities they were cleaning it. I have only ever seen shows there but I would totally go back there now for an evening and play a little, the rest of the place looks very very fun as well, like "Fear and Loathing" style :) The rest of the patrons were all well dressed and classy i only wore shorts and a t-shirt. Loved the Lambo's out front! Overall a very civilized and totally upbeat event with a touch of class...a natural class thank you guys. My wife and i were very impressed, we would go back just to play a little now. As for Nazareth, i am now a fan!!!!!!! You guys need more advertising of the shows though. Even more than you have.
Great Concert. High energy. Strong vocals and musicians. Would go see them again!
Nazareth definitely deserves to be on a big stage in a theater or arena, the show was amazing. The new singer Carl Sentence performed his new role flawlessly, even breathing a bit of new life into the sets. The Winnipeg turnout was very impressive, if I had to guess it was somewhere around 1400 in the theatre. The crowd was very enthusiastic to every song, applauding and making lots of noise but was a bit slow in standing and getting up to the front of stage but did towards the end of the set and they gave the band a standing ovation for the encore. A great night, great band and great tunes!
My father is a huge fan of Nazareth. He was very excited to see them. I got him a good seat. He loved the concert. The only thing that bothers him is the theatre. He said the theatre was dated. They should have done it on MTS Centre.
Completely awesome event - the new lead singer was EXCELLENT and just hopping with energy - sang his heart out and was AWESOME. The guitar player was also absolutely great as well as the bass player, who at his age was a cool dude! Probably one of the best concerts I have seen in 10 years or more. Sitting in the front row made it even more awesome as we could see everything on the stage going on. 10/10 for awesomeness!!!
It was an unbelievable experience! Unlike MTS Centre, I loved this event at the Burton Cummings Theatre, as I was front and Center! I felt like I could touch them. I have wanted to see this band since I was a teenager, I have checked off another item on my bucket list!
Very fun 2 day event. We really enjoyed all 4 bands over the 2 nights and are looking forward to this being an annual event.
I was really looking forward to this concert, but found it hard to enjoy as it was very LOUD!! Uncomfortably LOUD!! I have been to a lot of concerts and never experienced this before. My first concert at this venue, and asked staff if this was normal. They assured me this was louder than usual.
These bands still have it! This was a great show to rekindle old memories. I saw these bands play when they were at the top of the charts and as far as I'm concerned they sound as good today as they did when they first started!
Delta Gardens was a great venue. Nazareth was awesome.
The band is trying to morph into a new music direction which is at best, average. I can understand why as the bass guitarist is the only original member left. 90% of the audience was 50+ which came to hear the Nazareth of old. They sang about 40% of the old songs which were great. The balance was so, so. I think that they should really focus on singing more songs that really made the band name what is recognized as a brand, and play 25% of the newer material. Otherwise, I think that the brand name and audience will suffer.
The concerts were fantastic! And our seats were great!
They didn't play enough of the old tunes. The new lead singer is very talented but they are called Nazareth so they should have played the old Nazareth songs. It's like they are reinventing themselves with younger players, ok then change your name don't trick people!!
Prism was awesome-they should've been the headliner..Not sure who was pretending to be Nazareth but I was extremely disappointed. Maybe 5 actual Nazareth classic songs, the rest was hard rock-have no idea what songs or who was actually singing. Would like to suggest that this be advertised as a Nazareth Tribute Band but even that would be pushing it. Thank god Prism was great...
Enjoyed the evening in Bessbough Gardens.. Both Nazareth and Prisim were great.. a little trip back in time..
2nd time I've seen them play the same venue, the same night. Great show! Would have gone with five stars, but no one told us we had to bring our own chairs....oh well, now I know.
Was not aware the lead singer was someone new. Sounded nothing like the original with his raspy voice, therefore none of the songs sounded anything like what i've listened to for the last 30 years. Also had never been to the venue and had no idea we were to bring our own chairs, so sat on the ground, but it was beautiful weather.
Prism and Nazareth were great, the sound was excellent standing in front of the stage. Classic rock at it's finest! My only complaint is with the venue, 20 minute lineups to use the plastic outhouse is unacceptable!
Nazareth put on a great show. The venue was good. Maybe would have had a small dance area. Great music, great fun.
