Played all the old favorites. Sounded great. Perfect venue. Really enjoyed the concert.
Great show amazing singer. Venue was great also. Opening band was also great. Very pleased over all.
I was really struggling to find the good in being at this concert. The volume of the warm-up band ( Moon Tan ) was ear piercing. ( 2 notches too high ). The volume of Nazareth was pretty much the same. I've been to many concerts at this venue in the last 2 years, but this was by far the loudest. The bands played great. Too bad for the soundman.
I had a fantastic time at the concert. The opening band was good too, even though I've never heard of them. Was sitting right in the centre of the stage but on the upper level and had a great view.
Seeing Nazareth for the first time was amazing. The band sounds just as good as they did in their records starting in 1971. The original founding member on bass Pete Agnew was incredible and still going strong at 69 yo. Lead vocalist Carl Sentance was superb almost an incredible duplicate of original lead vocalist Dan McCafferty.
Really happy I went to see Nazareth at Burton Cummings theatre July 28th/2017, it was great and recommend.
Was so excited to se s favorite baND. Music wad so loud it made songs almost unrecognzable.
This concert was terrible. Music was so loud that a person could not even hear the vocals. Ears were still ringing at 10 am the next day. Will never pay to see this band again.
Raised listening to bands like this and of the times and earlier I was excited to finally be able to attend a concert. These guys put on a loud and high energy show that has made performances I've seen of bands way younger than them look like amateurs and kiddie shows. Recognized almost every song and there was no shortage of upbeat ones. This band has so many great hits it was a sure thing to hear ones you'd know. They played straight through with encores. NO wasting time talking between. Solos were great and did the job of fill ins. I only wish my father who was the music lover in my family could have been there. This event brought back lots of memories. If it had been an all ages show, I'd have brought my nine year old son who is also a music lover and attends near every show I go to. You can't go wrong with these guys. If you like good loud classic upbeat hard rocking songs and haven't seen them before then take a chance on them. You won't be disappointed!
This is now the second concert I have attended that the music was too loud..at times you couldn't even hear the singer
Being old like we all get, I guess we expect things to never change, and in lots of ways, this band met my desires! The songs sounded the same as when I saw the bank in the late 70's! I was a bit disappointed that there was zero communication from the band other than singing...no talking about why they cancelled the first show, no comments on anything. The other complaint I had was about the sound. Although you could hear the MUSIC well, the lyrics were NOT easy to hear, and you couldn't tell one word he was saying because of the poor sound quality. Even songs I have known for 40 years were not recognizable because of that.
This concert was disappointing . it was only an hour long. They had at least seven more songs that they didn't perform. The sound had a lot of feedback on some songs. The lead sing perform quite well.
It was great to hear the old tunes I grew up on as a teen and the new singer did a great job. The length of the show was barely an hour long and they did a 1 song encore. Pretty poor effort to make it really memorable
Wow! He can still bring it!! they played for probably less than 90 minutes. They performed most of their Greatest Hits. They did about 6 songs from their newer stuff. They did not play Holy Roller ... sniff!
This was a great show in a pretty cool venue that I had not been to before. These guys were well worth seeing. Does it get much more classic than Nazareth?? This was straight out of the soundtrack from my wasted youth...
I was pretty pumped to take in the Nazareth show on Saturday night since they were an important part of my formative rock & roll years. I was disappointed & so I have a couple of suggestions to make; 1. PLEASE turn down the bass! We couldn't make out most of the songs until the band was well into them. Our seats were vibrating, but we weren't sure what tune it was to... 2. Turning the house lights on to see the audience is fine, once or twice throughout the show. This happened way too often & is kind of annoying. We paid to see the band, not the other way around ; ) Not sure if I'd risk the price of a ticket to see these guys again...
I saw them at the Grey Eagle Casino on July 22. I knew there was only one original member and thought I can get past this that he did not sound like the original member. At least they should try to play longer. They came on at 8:20 pm and off at 9;30 pm. I was truly disappointed as I am a seasoned concert goer and this was my first concert disappointment. I waited a few days to see if I felt I felt I could write a positive one but no. Nazareth you get two thumbs down.
Great seeing Nazareth live for the first time and enjoyed the show. Good mix of hits performed by original bass guitarist Pete Agnew, and the newer members - Carl Sentance, vocals; Jimmy Murrison, lead guitar, and Lee Agnew (Pete's son) on drums. Most songs were performed true to the originals, but some were a bit off possibly because we were close to the front near the stage beneath the main speakers. The encore unfortunately was only one song long, but a good one, Beggar's Day.
Amazing! We had an awesome evening! Grey eagle was the right venue for this
Firstly, I wasn't aware that Dan McCafferty had left Nazareth until the night of the show. Carl Sentance was good but I was disappointed the show wasn't advertised as such. They played all their hits, but unfortunately, the vocals were very muffled. Then there were times it seemed the music was too loud for his voice. For a lot of the songs, had it not been for the music, I'm not sure I would have known what song he was singing.
