  • Nazareth and Headpins ROCKED!!

    by Tinner55 on 2013-07-07Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Darby Mills was amazing....like she never took 30 years off of of being on stage and singing..sounded just the same...Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Nazareth...you could tell by the looks they were getting on in years..but the music was just the same....ya maybe a little bit slower...but the sound was bang on...It was funny to see them up stage rocking like they were.. I think they were surprised at the welcome they received from the Vancouver crowd.... The whole night was fantastic...the venue was great...the crowd was great...the staff were great....the musicians were fantastic.. We were able to take in the first 1/2 of the BC Lions game then back to our suite at Rosie's....then off to the Commodore.... our night ended 20 hrs after getting up that morning and it was FUN FUN FUN!!!

It was a great show, but they could have turned the volume down as I couldn't recognize most of the songs.

  • NAZARETH

    by partyrockin2012 on 2012-07-23Deerfoot Inn & Casino - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

Great vocals great sound Great time:) I would see them again at a larger venue though . Seats were too close together to accommodate a sold out crowd at the Deerfoot Casino

  • Ejoyed the Nazareth Experience

by HMPW on 2012-07-18Deerfoot Inn & Casino - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

Although I enjoyed myself at the concert, I found that I could not completely enjoy Dan McCafferty's voice. I sat in the second row, centre at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino. The speaker's we're blasting in our ears the sounds of the guitar; not sure that was the problem?? Anyhow, it was a good show and I am happy to finally have seen the band!!

  • Nazareth Rocked

Tight band, vocals were great, a few jokes in the air, good sound, no boom da woom or JB hangover, don't think it gets much better, It was a Spunky Munkey good time.

  • Nazareth's Back. Turn On Your Receiver to ROCK !

    by Python46 on 2012-07-16Red Robinson's Show Theatre - Coquitlam B.C. Canada July 6, 2012Rating: 5 out of 5

Electricity in the air, again! Wow, I had not seen Nazareth since 1988 when they were on their 20th anniversary tour. They had more original members then. Before that the last three shows were in the 1970’s when Nazareth was one of the Super headlining acts in North America, or The World. All the great acts came through Kitchener Ontario in the 1970’s. Nazareth was one of them, 1976, 77. Toronto too. I saw them in T.O. in 1978. Classic greats- Turn on Your Receiver, Razamanaz, This Flight Tonight, a Joni Mitchell cover made famous by Nazareth, Bad Bad Boy, the list goes on. Nazareth is one of the groups I have more than 5 vinyl albums in my collection of great vinyl’s. Album Covers that are true works of art. Raz, Loud and Proud and No Mean City are great examples of the artistry that not only went into the music but the packaging as well. Little CD’s just don’t compare. Sorry, I guess that’s why more and more artists are putting out vinyl records today. Dan McCafferty still has the vocals to keep the Nazareth music alive! Pete Agnew on Bass, founder of Nazareth are the only two original members and Dan and Pete look and sound great! Pete’s son Lee is spectacular on the Drums and Jimmy Murrison on Lead Guitar since the mid 1990’s has kept the great Naz sound Rocking. This is Nazareth 2012 and this band ROCKS! The set lasted almost two hours to a very happy, Rocking crowd. Phil Griggs, their long, long time soundman worked the sound board to Keep the sound right on! I liked the talk box mixed in the bag pipes that Dan used in the show. Guitar and drum solos were stellar. Well Done Phil. Red Robinson’s has loosened the rules for people going to the floor so everyone can dance if they want to. Security is still paramount and the staff at Red’s place did a great job. Everyone was having a lot of fun. Don’t miss Nazareth if they come to your town Man! Turn on that Receiver and blow Your mind back to the great Rock days of the 1970’s with Nazareth. Got to See it Live Canada!

  • Nazareth was good but...

by Tanibaby on 2012-07-09Red Robinson Show Theatre - CoquitlamRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was good but not long enough...They could of played more of their greatest hits.

  • Nazareth disappointing!

by ClassicRockFan on 2012-07-08Red Robinson Show Theatre - CoquitlamRating: 1 out of 5

You'd think with 30+ years practice this band would be tight, not enough old stuff and they butchered their classics. So....disappointing - and too short a show, they have the material. For old times sake, great to see them but....not high performing.

  • AWESOME!!!

by RHIANN0N on 2012-07-08Red Robinson Show Theatre - CoquitlamRating: 4 out of 5

I have been a a huge fan since forever - and was so glad to see that Nazareth's still got it!!!! Last time I saw this band in concert was in 1986 - and I was a bit disappointed. They did not sound as great as their recorded music. But now it occurs to me that must have been the sound system at the Venue (Expo site in Vancouver). No such problems recently! In fact, if anything, their music and sound has improved. Way to go, Nazareth!!!! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they didn't play my favourite song - My White Bicycle.

  • Nazareth concert 2012

by addaboy on 2012-07-08Red Robinson Show Theatre - CoquitlamRating: 5 out of 5

I went to the concert thinking "I wonder how they will sound after all these years after all Dan Mccafferty had a special sound in his voice back in the day. They came out and performed so amazingly I thought he might have been lip syncing. No way! something in the crowd made him laugh as he sang and you could hear the tone in his voice change when he laughed!!! They totally blew me away! There was not one person there I could see that wasn't amazed. They ROCKED, we all ROCKED! They have so many hit songs,You won't be disapointed in these guys!!! unbelievable! We all walked out of there just buzzing, didn't want the night to end! One of the best concerts Ive been to in a while. Red Robinson theatre not a bad seat in the house, which was sold out by the way. If they come back I'll be going again for sure!!! Narareth! go figure...WOW!

went and saw them july and they were great, very strong performance! always loved there mastery of hard rock and soft songs. and Dans vocals are some of the best in rock n roll in my opinion. played all there best, almost as good as being back in the 70s! even some of there new stuff was good. ill go see them again for sure!

  • Loved it, want to see them again

    by Lucy80 on 2011-11-01Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

We had an awesome time listening and seeing these guys. Not in a miilion years would I have thought when I listened to them in a small town of St. Stephen, NB would I actually see these guys live. What an honor. They were amazing! Now if I could go and see the Wall live I would me most honored. (need two tickets LOL) Seen the Eagles, they were awesome as well!

  • Nazareth Rocked as usual!!!

it brought me and my husband back to the good old days

  • McCafferty's Still got the voice!!!!!!!!

by MacMac on 2011-08-02Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

Amazingly after all these years Dan McCafferty hit all the notes at 68 years old and so many tours this was a happy suprise. 45 minute set plus a 2 song oncore was just not enough but we enjoyed every moment. The guitar player seamed a little lost on certain numbers almost like he did not fully know the song. We will go to see them again when they are in the area and at a good venue. Darby Mills and the Headpins were a good opening act nice to see/hear them again.

  • Nazareth was great!

by StyxChix on 2011-08-02Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

Nazareth put on a good show, playing all of their hits and a few newer songs as well. Over all, a great show, but a little short on time. Only an hour long show. I assume they only played for a hour due to having an opening act: the Headpins. Unfortunately the Headpins came across as a "bar band". As was usual for this sort of act at Rama, the volume was way way TOO LOUD!! The volume of the instruments drowned out the Headpins singers voice. So you really could not hear her great singing all that well,

  • Excellent performance ! A real blast from the pas

    by spiderwoman189 on 2011-08-01Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

I had never seen Nazareth before live. They put on a great show. Sound was great at Casino Rama. I was impresed to see how the lead singer could still pull off songs like "Love Hurts" so effortlessly. His smail ans sense of humormade the showparticulary enjoyable and his voicewas incredible still

  • Still Rocks

    by Otter1961 on 2011-08-01Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

The eight time I have seen Nazareth, and the first time in twenty years and I was pleasently surprised to see that they sill rock and have the energy they always have. Casino Rama has had many shows over the past couple of years and Nazareth was one of the best. A solid 9 out of 10. I wish they could have played longer.
