Atlanta-based duo Outkast got their start in the early '90s as a high school music project between Andre "Andre 3000" Benjamin and Antwan "Big Boi" Patton. They released their breakout debut Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik in 1994, which featured the No. 1 single "Player's Ball" and launched them to success virtually overnight. Since then, Outkast have met with tremendous critical and commercial success over the course of their two-decade career including Top 10 spots for all six of their studio albums, six Grammy Awards, and praise from Rolling Stone and Pitchfork for being pioneers in the hip-hop game.
