    Owl City Made My Life

by Michellejejkhsjhkrw34ithl on 2012-11-27The Mod Club - Toronto

Owl City was PHENOMENAL. The date that I went was the first date in The Midsummer Station Promo Tour in Toronto. I waited outside the venue for about an hour and a half and I was pretty close to the front as people were being ushered in. The crowd was pushy so it was nice. The merch table was at the back. The venue was perfect because it wasn't too crowed and it was small enough so that everyone would be able to see the stage clearly and hear the music well. The venue also had chairs and drinks which was nice because parents were there as well. It was great because every time someone came on stage, the crowd would scream hoping that it was Adam even though it wasn't. It was kind of disappointing having to wait 30/45 for the show to start even after everyone had gotten inside but it was worth it. The opening act was okay. Her music would appeal more to pop fans rather than to Owl City fans but she wasn't horrible. After she left, the lights got really dark and everyone freaked out and the first song started to play and when the guitarist and the drummer and Brianne and then Adam came on stage everyone freaked out. Adam was really energetic and happy and the crowd loved it. Adam's dancing was PRECIOUS and I can honestly say that he is better live than on CD. He sang lots of songs making cute, little comments here and there and everyone was having a good time. Lights was also there for The Yacht Club and she was great. They shared a hug which everyone aww'd at. After the concert was gone we called Owl City back for an encore and he sang not one more but TWO MORE songs. When the concert was FINALLY over, some people left but some people stayed to mingle and the opening act came and talked to a bunch of people which was nice of her. About an hour after the concert was done, the guitarist came out to talk to people outside which was cool. Overall, the concert was AMAZING and I would recommend it to everyone. I freaked out about it for weeks. :)

    Owl City was Perfect :D

by Michellejejkhsjhkrw34ithl on 2012-11-27The Virgin Mod Club - Toronto

Let me just say, before the concert even happened, I was excited. Toronto was the first date on The Midsummer Station Promo Tour and tickets were REALLY affordable. I waited in line for about an hour and a half so when I went inside, I was pretty close to the front. The venue was perfect because it wasn't too crowded and there were chairs to sit on if you got tired which is great because parents were there too. The merch table was set up at the back. As everyone went inside the club, it was kind of disappointing because the show started about 30/45 minutes late but everyone freaked out when they saw someone go on stage hoping it was Adam. The opening act Jayme Dee was okay. Not really my taste but she was sweet. Then the real show started. All the lights went out and Cave In with a dubstep intro started to play and every one screaming. One by the the dummer and the guitarist and Brianne came on stage playing and when Adam came out the whole place exploded. Everyone was singing along and jumping and everyone was smiling. Owl City is AMAZING live and even better in person than on CD. People say that Adam can't sing because he always uses auto-tune on his songs but in concert, he doesn't use any at all and he was still amazing. He sang a bunch of songs and thanked the crowd for coming out and everyone just screamed. Lights was a surprise guest and LOTS of people were happy about that. They shared a hug and then she left. He made little cute comments here and there and you can just tell that he was so happy to be on tour again. HIS DANCING WAS AWESOME, oh god, he was so adorable. After the last song, everyone on stage left and the crowd kep screaming one more song and he sang TWO MORE SONGS! We freaked out and everyone was buzzing after the concert was done and people were mingling and it was great. I would recommend Owl City to anyone because he is great live and he keeps the crowd pumped up.

Owl City is more than a Good Time!

by Anonymous on 2012-09-19The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

This concert was amazing! The lighting was excellent, as was the opening by Action Item. Every song was performed amazingly, and I was pleasantly surprised with the addition of older songs mixed in with the new album's songs. This concert was amazing, don't miss Owl City's next tour!

I was really impressed by this show. Owl City has a lot of catchy pop tunes, and it sounds pretty electronic-y when you're listening to it, so I wasn't sure how great his voice would sound live. But he was fantastic! Sounded almost exactly like the record. He played all my favourite songs and had great energy.

I have always been a big fan of Owl City. He was quite remarkable live. He played songs from a lot of of CDs, not just the most recent one, which I quite liked.

Owl City was inspiring & Enjoyable

by Howie1 on 2011-08-05The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

My 13 year old son who loves Owl City asked if I could take him to this show as he missed last year's Vancouver date. Also enjoying the music I jumped at the chance & purchased some GREAT seats at the Centre. Now this is a great sounding venue at that and all of the bands sounded great that evening. The thing about Owl City was that they were more "Electric" than "electronic" with Adam Young playing guitar along with keyboards. His constant smile & dancing around the stage and his words of thanks to the audience made for a more one on one style of concert. The band was good and loud and all of the musicians in the band, all being multi-instrumentalists, added a new dimension to the overall sound of the songs. Matt Kearney, who was one of the opening acts had a very tight band with many enjoyable songs and both of us really enjoyed his music. My son and I had a very memorable evening singing along and spending some Dad and Son time at a Great show.....thank you all :-)

    Sensational Concert

by Bass45 on 2011-07-21Center for Preforming Arts - Vancouver, BC

I start out and say great seats we had until the people in the first row decided to stand up on the 2nd level/dress circle...ruined what I could see and people behind us...It didn't dampen the whole experience... It was first concert I saw him preform I was in awe that he was so complex and multi-talented I knew he preformed or played it all on his CDs but until ya see it in person its a completely different experience all together..neat light show and very good opening acts even though I guess we showed up 30mins late nothing too horrible. I definately recommend it to anyone who likes to listen to his songs...just go out and do it...

    Not what I expected

by DigitalNemesis on 2011-07-20The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Unfortunately the concert for Owl City was not exactly a concert designed for anyone over the age of 15. This concert felt more like a special editions children's show and not an event for adults. Had much higher expectations for the event.

    Mixed Feelings

by klmartin313 on 2011-07-19The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

The performance was really great, music was awesome, he was really into it. But then at the end he promised to go out and do a signing by the tour busses and then we waited an hour and a half and security told us he had already left and to go home. Grr

Fantastic Live, better than the CD

by garytrinder on 2011-07-18The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

What a very tallented young man he is. It was my son's first live concert and he loved it. The support bands Unwed Sailor and Matt Thiessen were good as well and got us warmed up and ready for the main event. Would definately see him again and would be interested in the release of a Live Album.

    Way too many openings!!

by Tiredgirl on 2011-07-18The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

We bought tickets for our family to see Owl City, but the concert started at 7pm and they did not make an appearance till after 9pm. The opening bands were okay, but WAY too long! We enjoyed Owl City but the kids were asleep before they came on. Too bad, we assumed it was a family friendly event and venue.

Owl City did an amazing job and sounded exactly like they do in their songs, although i was extremely upset they didn't play Vanilla Twilight. Adam Young and Breanne were adorable <3 Matt Kearney did a FANTASTIC job opening, as well, although I wasn't a huge fan of Unwed Sailor. Extremely worth the price of $25!!

    Owl City was awesome!

by slipcovers on 2011-06-23Kool Haus - Toronto

I really enjoyed this concert. The band before them, Mik Kearney was awesome as well. The only thing that sucked was that we had to stand the whole time! Maybe next time he can get a venue where we have assigned seating!
