About

Pantera is a heavy metal band formed in Arlington, Texas in 1981 by brothers Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell, and is currently composed of vocalist Phil Anselmo, bassist Rex Brown, and touring musicians Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante. After a number of buzzy releases throughout the 1980s, the band dropped their breakout album, Cowboys From Hell, in 1990, which established Pantera as leaders in the groove metal genre. The first group to land an extreme metal album at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with their 1994 album Far Beyond Driven, Pantera were hailed as torchbearers of the genre, paving the way for a long and successful reign that included two subsequent albums and four Grammy nominations. The pioneering band has sold over 20 million albums over the course of their career and are credited as a musical inspiration by many acts in the metal space. Pantera entered a hiatus in 2001, and shortly thereafter, founding member Dimebag Darrell was killed onstage in 2004. A new era began when surviving members Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown returned to the road in 2023 for their first tour as Pantera in over 20 years. Now, the band is set to embark on a 2025 outing, titled Pantera’s The Heaviest Tour of the Summer.

    Venue in Toronto was disorganized. Still can’t access my meet and greet pictures. Pantera was awesome though. The no flag policy is ridiculous considering security let me in with it.

    I never listened to Pantera before I saw them a week ago, but they blew my mind with how hard the show slapped. It was amazing and I’d 10/10 see them again. Especially loved their barefooted singer; rock on dude, do your thing.

    Amazing night but what thing TICKETPRO. Change your map seating to a better view and or understanding. From the seating plan, I was 100% sure I was next to the stair and or passage way. No, i was straight last seat in the row stock to the fence. But, great night anyway
