About

Mike Rosenberg, known better as Passenger, is a British singer/songwriter quickly impacting the folk-rock scene with his earnest and introspective lyrics. Passenger was formerly a band fronted by Rosenberg that released a number of albums before the band members parted ways. Rosenberg continued with the name, and his latest release, All the Little Lights, is a folk-rock, indie-pop album filled with songs of loss, love, and hope. Critics have praised Rosenberg for his charming and unique voice, poignant yet witty lyrics, and an album that feels fleshed out with additional strings, brass, and restrained percussion. Storming up the Billboard Hot 100, the single “Let Her Go” is a charming, whimsical, and lyrically remorseful song about a relationship in retrospect. Rosenberg supported fellow Englishman Ed Sheeran for most of 2012 before embarking on his first US headlining tour in summer 2013. Concertgoers applaud Rosenberg for his intimate one-man-band shows, raw talent, and charming banter. With tickets selling out for shows across Europe and Australia, fans anticipate an unfaltering music career ahead for this talented singer/songwriter.

    Fantastic

Passenger was so talented and he interacted with the crowd so well. The volume was great and there wasnt lots of flashing lights (I hate the flashing lights). It was a super enjoyable evening!

    Inspiring & Uplifting

by MonkeyGirl on 2022-05-01Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Passenger (aka Michael Rosenberg) had been on my musical bucket list for a long time. I knew I would enjoy the experience but he far exceeded my expectations. He is not only a talented musician and lyricist but he entertained everyone with his worldly and down to earth presence. He was real, approachable and made everyone feel connected if you were willing to take the experience to the next level. He gave of himself with sincerity which can sometimes be lacking with other artists. Love his body of songs and will be discovering Ben more of his now 14 album library now that I saw him live. Highly recommend! đŸ„°đŸ˜đŸ€©

    A little disappointing

by Bill on 2022-05-01Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

I thought Passenger was ok altho I was expecting more. I had seen him in concert twice before and he was a lot better both other times. Also his set list was not the best given all the great songs he could have played. I was also disappointed at his playing time 75 minutes which included his encore was about as short as any concert I have ever attended. A minimum would have been 90 mins and 2 hours kind of the standard for the great artists. I gues Passenger isn’t there yet.

Was a well need night out

by Drake C on 2022-05-01Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

I went to this show will in town for work and it was the perfect way to end a stressful day. I went by myself and I had a blast, everyone especially the staff was so pleasant the whole evening. Passengers really put a great show and it really felt like 2012-2019 energy back. It was great to feel connected with other humans again and passenger made everyone have a great tome.

    Passenger show in Ottawa, Ontario

by Mikefan on 2022-04-28Bronson Centre - Ottawa

The show was good, full of energy but, having seen him in concert before the pandemic, it felt like he was rushing through to get to the finish. Too much standing around outside to get into the venue and then too much waiting around for both the opening act and then the main act. I am guessing so that is people will buy merch and make more trips to the bar. The venue was good and I am glad I was in the balcony with a seat. I have been to several concerts like this where you wait and wait for things to happen but I am not sure I am built for that any longer. Passenger is an amazing storyteller and the banter inbetween songs was extremely entertaining.

Entertaining performance but ran too short.

by DocOttawa on 2022-04-27Bronson Centre - Ottawa

Didn’t know much about the artist. Listened to a few of his offerings on YouTube. Liked what I heard so I purchased a couple of ducats. My date and I really enjoyed the performance. Good energy. Engaging artist. Lovely voice. Great songs. We do wish that the show went longer. The set ran about 55 minutes with three songs for the encore. The price of admission was not that high. Maybe that’s why it was a short show.

    AMAZING SHOW

by Karen B on 2022-04-27Bronson Centre - Ottawa

His voice, humour, audience engagement, songs; ALL of it, were just fantastic! My sister and I had a great time and would go see him again in a heartbeat. So much talent! He should clearly be playing bigger venues but secretly, I'm glad he played a smaller venue because it's so great for the guests :)

    Great show, terrible venue

by PassengerFan on 2022-04-27Bronson Centre - Ottawa

It was not the first time I saw Passenger's show. It was amazing. The venue, on the other hand, was terrible. We arrived 45 minutes prior to the show (15 min after the door opening time). We had to wait in line, outside, for nearly an hour before getting in. Instead of entering through the main door, they had us enter through a little side entrance. When we finally arrived inside, the show had already started. There was still a line of people outside trying to get in. The event was sold out and there were seats in the balcony, but since it was general admission, people sat anywhere, with gaps between groups. It was very chaotic. The artist was amazing and we still had a good time because of how great he is !

    High Energy, Great Music

    by neos_oracle on 2022-04-27Bronson Centre - Ottawa

Mike played a variety of songs from the early days to his just released album and this was a Passenger crowd who sang along with all of them - myself included. I took a friend who'd not heard of him before and she loved it, too. The opening act, Old Sea Brigade, was delightful and talented. Both musicians were chatty and fun and made the audience feel like they were all just mates. I will say the venue, the Bronson Centre, was a disappointment. I hadn't been there in a long time and didn't realise they'd removed all the lower level seating and "Standing room only" wasn't mentioned anywhere when I bought the tickets. They refused to accommodate two women with canes and a pregnant lady with chairs in the rear of the hall, though there were a few sitting that staff said had made prior arrangements (we didn't know that was available). The venue coordinator was a bit dismissive and the ATM wasn't working for merch purchases. I'll think twice before going there again. Luckily, the music and performances were amazing!

    Amazing show

by ValQc on 2022-04-27Bronson Centre - Ottawa

The show was amazing! Passenger is a great artist, he is my favorite singer so far! Really dynamic on stage, funny and gives a great show! The only little negative thing I have to say is that there was no seats in the theater so my friend who has mobility problems had a hard time watching the show....

Passenger was great. Venue was poor.

by Sun on 2022-04-27Bronson Centre - Ottawa

Great performance by Passenger. However it was poor to have a call time of 7 when he didn’t come on until after 9. Then played for only an hour before the encore wasn't fair in a standing only venue. Got the feeling it was all about selling drinks. No chairs for anyone who couldn’t stand. Everyone was unaware that the venue didn’t have chairs. Great performer but grumpy promoter.

    Amazing show ... as always

by Ken Workun on 2022-04-27Bronson Centre - Ottawa

Passenger has a great ability to get the audience singing with the first song and keeps them engaged till the end. For one man with a guitar, he captures the room and fills it with joy.

Passenger was great! Venue not so much!

by LINDA on 2022-04-27Bronson Centre - Ottawa

We were disappointed with the venue in that we were not aware that no seating was available. It was to begin at 7 and Passenger did not start until 9. Quite the delay especially when you are having to stand. Loved Passenger - he was excellent!!
