About

Mike Rosenberg, known better as Passenger, is a British singer/songwriter quickly impacting the folk-rock scene with his earnest and introspective lyrics. Passenger was formerly a band fronted by Rosenberg that released a number of albums before the band members parted ways. Rosenberg continued with the name, and his latest release, All the Little Lights, is a folk-rock, indie-pop album filled with songs of loss, love, and hope. Critics have praised Rosenberg for his charming and unique voice, poignant yet witty lyrics, and an album that feels fleshed out with additional strings, brass, and restrained percussion. Storming up the Billboard Hot 100, the single “Let Her Go” is a charming, whimsical, and lyrically remorseful song about a relationship in retrospect. Rosenberg supported fellow Englishman Ed Sheeran for most of 2012 before embarking on his first US headlining tour in summer 2013. Concertgoers applaud Rosenberg for his intimate one-man-band shows, raw talent, and charming banter. With tickets selling out for shows across Europe and Australia, fans anticipate an unfaltering music career ahead for this talented singer/songwriter.

the concert was a very small and intimate concert with no flashing lights or crazy costumes. just him and his guitar. its not a typical concert but it was probably my favorite most memorable concert I've been to. I highly recomend it.

    Passenger is totally mesmerizing!!!

    by 1Montrealer on 2015-09-14Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

From the moment Passenger takes the stage, alone, with just his guitar and a lot of lights, he holds his audience in total captivity, unable to believe how great he is at keeping the entire theater enthralled. He has just the right amount of music and stories to balance out the evening to perfection. And oh are his stories great. He is a totally wonderful charming performer, worth seeing again and again. And he was so grateful for us having him!! Kept thanking us.

by mahster on 2015-09-14Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

Just incredible. One man and his guitar, that's all you need if you are Michael David Rosenberg. Humble and talented, Passenger will reel you in with his storytelling. I have seen him twice and would not hesitate to see him again!!!

by PASTACIO on 2015-09-12Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

it is hard to feel close to someone in a room as big as the Orpheum with a full house but I felt touched and the performance was very intimate.I felt He made contact . I cryed, laughed and I fell even more in love with him and his lyrics. Soud was excellent. The lighting was awsome. I am so glad I went. I had the best of times.

One of the best concerts I've been to. Passenger is an amazing storyteller who plays outstanding music. He is captivating and brilliant. Tells stories that need to be told. The radio should play more of his music!

    Gave me chills!

by khailey on 2014-12-23The Fillmore - Detroit

Where to begin.... To start off, I first discovered Passenger as Ed Sheeran's opening act in Toronto back in 2012. From that day forward, I had listened to Mike every single day. He is easily my favourite artist and when I found out he was coming to Detroit I could not contain my excitement. On the day of the concert, I packed my things and began waiting in line at 10am. At 11:30am, Mike came outside to meet me and the 3 other girls that were waiting. He is hands down the nicest guy I have ever met, and definitely the funniest! Lets just say when he walked away, I sobbed..... For a long time. I ended up getting front row, and enjoyed every single second of this concert. Mike blew me away, he gave me the chills, he left me speechless. His interaction with the crowd is phenomenal, his voice is absolutely stunning and I really enjoyed watching his movement on stage. He also played a cover of a song that I asked him to play and he smiled at me when I started freaking out! All in all, I expected high expectations but Mike completely went above and beyond what I was expecting. If you ever get the chance to see him, please do! He's an incredible performer and an even more incredible guy. Ps. Stu Larsen was so amazing too! Check him out

    Legend in the making

    by katie13 on 2014-09-10Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

This guy is charming, funny, a beautiful lyricist and interacts so well with his audience half the time it's as if you are just hanging out with an (extremely talented) old friend. So obviously genuine and passionate about his music. It's not often someone can come on stage with just an acoustic guitar and captivate an audience like he did. Voice is hauntingly beautiful, as are all his songs. This man is someone who will become a folk legend. The new van Morrison, only BETTER!

    Passenger

by TCBY on 2014-08-19Sound Academy - Toronto

This without question was one of the best concerts that I have ever been to. I have been to hundreds of concerts and the energy generated by Mike were unbelievable. His interaction with the audience was second to none. The only downside was that being 62 I had no where to sit in the all ages section. I will be sure to book balcony seats the next time.

    Passenger never disappoints!!

    by srank87 on 2014-08-19Sound Academy - Toronto

Third time seeing him and I never leave disappointed. I've never seen someone control an audience so well. There's points where you could hear a pin drop at the back of the concert hall and times you can hardly hear him because everyone is singing along so loudly. A must see for sure!

    Passenger was an amazing concert

    by Joey9999 on 2014-08-19Métropolis - Montreal

Passenger was amazing. The way he performed solo with just his guitar and how he had everyone participating. He is a true performer. The Metropolis was a perfect venue and was not too large. His supporting acts were great too and complemented his style with just the right amount of participation.

    Passenger show

by Natashalexandra on 2014-08-17Métropolis - Montreal

I was blown away by the opening performances!!! Both bands/singers were amazing ", so perfect. I'm so glad I got to discover them both. & Michael from passenger was phenomenal. I loved how it was an acoustic show, so personal and beautiful. He treated his opening bands so well and you can feel the connection between them! The fact they played all together in stage was also so very awesome! Michael stage presence made the whole show! I lived hearing his personal bits behind some of his songs. The public and him connected very well :) SIMPLY AMAZING.
