Paty Cantú's 2013 album Corazón Bipolar reached No. 1 on the Mexican Albums chart, which is good news for ticket buyers, as the album's success has led to a high-energy tour for the Mexican pop superstar-songwriter-actress. Cantú's live performances highlight the singer's natural ability to inject lyrics with her sparkling personality. Often performing with a relatively sparse backup band, the dynamic Cantú appears poised and self-assured, calling to mind the sultry style of a seasoned cabaret performer. However, Cantú infuses this style with an infectious energy that spices up any if her live concerts.

Cantú began her career as part of a musical duo called Lu. Their solo album was produced by Baqueiro, and introduced Cantú's crystal-clear voice to a public that was quick to adore her. After two highly successful albums, Lu split up, and Cantú embarked on an ambitious solo career. The strength and empowerment of this decision shone throughout her work. Cantú's 2009 solo debut, Me Quedo Sola, proved that the Latina diva had what it took to become a star on her own. The music, especially in "No Fue Suficiente" and "Me Quedo Sola" demonstrated Cantú's ability to project intense emotional feelings through her songs. Corazón Bipolar showcases Cantú's playful spirit to a great effect. Producer Aureo Baqueiro, whose impressive résumé includes work for Thalia, Alejandro Fernández, Paulina Rubio and others, brings out the spark in Cantú's style, making the album everything Latin pop ought to be. Cantú's youth enables her to display a certain vulnerability in her music. While appealing to younger audiences, her music also empathizes with the trials of emergent adulthood — a rarity in pop music.
