Enshrined in the Suns’ Ring of Honor are Alvan Adams, Barkley, Tom Chambers, Jerry Colangelo, Walter Davis, Cotton Fitzsimmons, Connie Hawkins, Kevin Johnson, Dan Majerle, Al McCoy, John MacLeod, Nash, Joe Proski, Dick Van Arsdale and Paul Westphal.

The Phoenix Suns had a successful 2020–21 season, winning the Western Conference and narrowly falling in the NBA Finals to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Suns ended the 2021–2022 season with a franchise record of 64 wins and finished with the NBA's best record by eight games above the second best, the league's largest differential in 22 years. • Nice to see Nash

by Kurtz on 2010-10-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

So it's been a few years since I have been to an NBA game and I know it was only a preseason, but by the time the first quarter was over, there wasn't any reason to stay. The game was sloppy and there was zero intensity. Ever fan SHOULD try to see Steve Nash one more time, but really, with that Phoenix team, it feels like a shame. The raptors had a lot more support than I expected, but the overall entertainment value was no where to be seen.

The game itself was lack luster but it brought the nba to Vancouver and it was special.

  • Raptors Rock

by RapsFanVan on 2010-10-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Good production. Not enough Steve Nash, but this was the second of back-to-backs of the preseason.

  • Good Ol Days

by Scottford on 2010-10-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

The score was a little lopsided, and ironically it was against the home team. But this is something we are familiar with as Vancouverites. Steve Nash got some cheers and Turkgolu was jeered every time he touched the ball. It was nice to see some NBA level BBall played in Vancouver again and at the price point it was a solid game.

  • Phoenix Suns vs Toronto Raptors

by Unavailable on 2010-10-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

The experience was great but the results were disappointing. The Suns did seem to be there and Steve Nash was not up to par.

  • Shameful

by verybored on 2010-10-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 1 out of 5

I have never been so disappointed with a sporting event. The Suns were, to say the least, ill prepared for this game. I hope they were embarrassed with final result and if they don't get it together very soon they will find themselves on the losing end of many games. I am excited for the Raptors and they had prepared well for the game and it showed. Their new additions showed very well and I look forward to television coverage of their games.

  • Phoenixs needs help

by Jamboy on 2010-10-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 1 out of 5

After all the hype about Steve Nash and his Phoenix team, I was caught off guard about how they played so poorly against a team that did not make the playoffs last year. Yes Toronto Raptors unbelievably beat them by over 50 points. I love Steve Nash but unfortunately this year he is surrounded by sub par players and there is no way they will the make playoffs this year from watching this exhibition game. Well Stevie, since your on the team for another year after this season, all I can say is "Good Luck Next Year".

  • Great to have an NBA game in town, but was SLOW

by fleurdelis on 2010-10-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

I love basketball. It's great we had a game here. Wish we had more though! This one was a bit too slow for my liking. They were simply not trying enough, as they don't need to as yet... However, the crowds felt that, and at one point everyone was chanting "WE WANT A DUNK, WE WANT A DUNK..." That indeed sums up the game. After the chant though a Toronto Raptors player (forgot who though) did indeed do a dunk. All in all, Raptors dominated the game! They tried more! They won, Period. Nash was awesome as always!

That's great that it's my first NBA game, the atmosphere is so hot, I should buy the closer seat next time, and I really hope Vancouver could have its own NBA team like Grizzlies before!

  • Forgettable

by hondah2o on 2010-10-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5

I was excited as I am every year when Steve brings his team down to Vancouver to throw us an entertaining night of NBA basketball. However I was sadly disappointed with Phoenix's lack of basketball spirit as they gave up on the game very early in the game and let to a disappointing lose. There was a lack of sportsmanship with some of the top line players on both teams that was ejected from the game, leaving bench players to play the rest of the game. I came to watch a great exhibition game, but I end up watching bench players playing this game by 3rd quarter.

  • Phoenix Suns and NBA

by flatland123 on 2010-10-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

The game was painful, particularily not seeing Steve Nash play much, but NBA is needed in Vancouver so although the home team got trampled in the exhibition game, I'd love to see more.

  • Exhibition game = exhibition play

by Taz5 on 2010-10-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5

There were numerous reasons that this game was disappointing. With Vancouver not having a basketball team of their own anymore, this had the potential to be great, but fell short. The majority of the crowd was a Phoenix fan - to support our BC boy, Steve Nash. Overall he may have played for about half the game. There were a few exciting plays during the game - a few great dunks from the Raptors, but few enough for them to be memorable. Neither team was performing to a level to excite the crowd, never got off our feet. The score was such a huge spread that there was no intensity. We expected to be wow-ed and pumped up for NBA, but instead found ourselves leaving at the end of the 3rd quarter! When there was a moment of excitement between 2 players - Grant Hill and a Raptors player (number 30) the referees immediately ejected them from the game. It seemed those players were trying to give the crowd a bit of some excitement and then the referees quashed their efforts entirely. Very little excitement during the entire game. Instead of promoting the NBA season this has instead made us bored by it, and walk out before the game was over. Vancouver definitely does not have the ability to be a basketball and hockey city...Go Canucks Go!

Second year in a row being disappointed. Nash only played for a quarter's worth of the game, Hill got ejected altogether a very boring game even for a preseason game.
