The rich history of the franchise includes some of most memorable teams in NBA history, including the 1975–76 "Sunderella Suns," the 1992–93 team that featured Charles Barkley and reached the NBA Finals, and the ":07 Seconds or Less" era teams, during which Steve Nash was twice named the league's MVP.

Enshrined in the Suns’ Ring of Honor are Alvan Adams, Barkley, Tom Chambers, Jerry Colangelo, Walter Davis, Cotton Fitzsimmons, Connie Hawkins, Kevin Johnson, Dan Majerle, Al McCoy, John MacLeod, Nash, Joe Proski, Dick Van Arsdale and Paul Westphal.

The Phoenix Suns had a successful 2020–21 season, winning the Western Conference and narrowly falling in the NBA Finals to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Suns ended the 2021–2022 season with a franchise record of 64 wins and finished with the NBA's best record by eight games above the second best, the league's largest differential in 22 years. • Totally one-sided game

by loverofpugs on 2010-10-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

I've been to lots of preseason hockey games before, so I figured a preseason basketball game would be similar...sure, all the star players may not be there, and it doesn't count for standings, but watching this game it was like only one team showed up to play. Toronto played awesome, or maybe they just seemed awesome because Phoenix sucked so bad? I left with 5 minutes to go, by then the Raptors were up by 35 points...not very exciting when it's so one-sided.

  • Brutal Game!!

by Zelda on 2010-10-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5

The game was extremely poorly played. Veery little of Steve Nash in the second half and no real effort. If these teams are going to play exhibition games on the road at least put some effort into it.

  • 1st time basketball game

by TobyCdn on 2010-10-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5

I have to say it was an experience but one I probably won't repeat. Having moved from Europe some 10 years ago it just didn't hold my attention like football (soccer) or hockey. It was a pre-season but I would have expected a bit more of spectacle. Go Canucks go.

It was a pleasure to watch an NBA game in Vancouver. I would have preferred it to be a Raptors home game because I think they have more rights to Vancouver than Phoenix but it was entertaining!

  • A total waste of time

by jl821 on 2010-10-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 1 out of 5

this was the worst basketball game I have ever seen. Both teams were uninspired, showed zero skill and even less respect for the fans who pay their million dollar salary. I know it was a pre-season game but I would be totally embarrassed to be a member of either the Suns or the Raptors. Half way through the 4th quarter, at least 2/3s of the crowd had gone. If this was to build up hype for the sport, it failed miserably. If i could, i would demand a refund.

  • Phoenix vs Raptors

by horts on 2010-10-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 1 out of 5

The game was poor and boring..... Last years game was way better..... I'm glad i did not pay more for my seats..... I will not go next year and have told all that it was just a money grab....I'm wrong I will go next year only if either team does not play the night before... I should have known better.... The families around me were so incredibly bored..... The announcer had no clue on the fouls .. he was horrible...

  • An Awesome Experience - Go Suns and JC Lincoln!

by CalgaryChadz on 2010-04-14US Airways Center - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

Every since I purchased my son a D Marvs Steve Nash team jersey, I wanted to see Steve live. With a 123-101 Suns victory over the Nuggets, Steve and the guys did not disappoint. The only thing is that I did not attend the game, but watched the first quarter sitting in John C Lincoln (North Mountain Hospital). The awesomeness in this experience was how the Suns and the folks at JC Lincoln treated me in my time of need. It all began when I was playing a pick up bball game at the Scottsdale YMCA (another great experience) when I aggrevated a prexisting injury that immobilize me. After taking my lovely wife to the Cactus' In & Out Burger joint, I realized that the game was in jeopardy. So I preceeded to email the Suns Customer Relations department to understand how I could get to my seat if I could not walk to it. They went beyond my expectations, by describing a solution that would fit the need. In preparing to go to the game, my lovely wife notice that my left leg was growing in size. After getting me back into bed, she proceeded to email the Suns' box office (Jeff) to see if there was something that they could do. They provided an other solution that exceeded my expectations that allowed my wife to make arrangement to get me to the hospital. The rest is history. I was sleeping by the end of the third quarter, the Suns' went on to win the game and the NBA championship with Stoudemire being named as the MPV. I saw Steve play live in 2010-2011. They did say that the meds would make me hallucinate, but they didn't mention the ability to see the future. Wednesday is a new day and how about those Coyotes and Red Wings!!!! I love Phoenix at this time of year.

  • Great fun to watch

by ggwcan on 2010-03-16US Airways Center - PhoenixRating: 4 out of 5

I'm not a regular basketball viewer but thoroughly enjoyed this game. It happened to be Steve Nash's 1000th which was an added bonus to remember. There was always something going on to be enjoyed whether it be the basketball, the time out activities, give-aways. The crowd was fun too. The food was reasonably priced and the seating was quite comfortable (we were in the 'cheap seats' but still were able to see it all).

  • The game was my second in 2 nights

    by Northof49 on 2010-03-01US Airways Center - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

To watch Steve Nash and the Suns is always a treat. I come down from Vancouver every year to take in a couple of games. For the future, hang on to Goran Drajic, and Robin Lopez. They give the Suns great play from the bench and are vital for the Sun's future.

Three of us flew from Calgary, Alberta on the prevoious Thursday. We went to the Coyotes game Thursday evening, the Suns game Saturday evening and the Cardinals game Sunday evening. We all enjoyed the Suns game by far the most.

  • Steve Nash and the Suns vs. the Trailblazers

by gonzojournalism on 2009-10-27General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Great game, great seats, though the tickets were a bit expensive, even for lower level, considering it was an exhibition game (the stars didn't play as nearly as many minutes as they would of in a regular season game). The Suns dance team was hawt.

  • Steve Nash @ GM Place

by sini on 2009-10-27General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

the seating and everything was a definite good experience, except they didnt play so well and Nash didnt come back on for the 2nd half..

  • My First NBA Game

by Anonymous on 2009-10-25General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This game was a blast! This was my first NBA game and it was amazing. The atmosphere was great and whenever Phoenix scores, the Vancouver fans goes wild. But the Suns lost by 20 points. I hope that there are more NBA games here in Vancouver.

  • Phoenix Suns vs. Portland Trail Blazers

by bballfan on 2009-10-25General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5

disappointing. The players didn't put much effort into the game. Obviously didn't count so the players didn't count on having to play too well. The teams looked rusty

  • Absolutely Awesome

    by Dman29292 on 2009-10-25General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

It was great to see the NBA back in town. A sold out event. It would be great to see a team come back, or have more pre-season games in town.
