on all shwos ive attended, this might be the coolest ever???? she was amazing with her vocals and screams and overall performance!!!!
Poppy did an amazing job interacting with the crowd and keeping the energy high. Loved the crowd surfing and moshing! All the songs were performed so well, and the band KILLED it! I especially loved hearing I Disagree and The Cost of Giving Up live. Even the people working at the merch booth were great!
this was a great concert and everything about it was fab. poppy really gives it to the audience and she delivers each song on-key and with the volume/presence it's a better-than-studio experience. the arrangement of the tracks was great with softer sounds interleaved with some of the harder ones. with some reach back into older titles that I was hoping she'd play. it was a little on the loud side (but it has to be!), I heard some people complaining about their ears on the way out. I don't know what the technical term is but I feel the guitars were giving too much mid in some of the louder parts. the lights and smoke were great and i feel like poppy would really be happy with true fire pyrotechnics
I had an amazing time at the show, she was a great performer and her band killed it. There was great interaction with the audience as well and people were able to mosh and crowd surf safely. However, I felt the sound design was lacking as you couldn't hear her voice all that well which put a damper on it for me. Not sure if it was the venue (Danforth music Hall) or their team but was not ideal.
this is my second time seeing her and she was amazing! compared to her tour in 2022 the crowd was 10/10 toronto was soo good love poppy ❤️
I didn’t know who poppy was before Toronto. The last thing I expected was her vocals. The talent she has can’t be ignored. The guitarist & drummer also shred. New fan☝️
I've never heard Pvris before but they were awesome, I love Poppy, she's so good live, she looked awesome, her band was awesome, visuals were engaging. The sound was pretty overwhelming and probably could have been altered to fit the venue if that makes sense? So happy I got to catch her last show on the tour, the screaming was SO cool man, poppy please do a collab with lil mariko
Was SO impressed with History Theatre in Toronto! Very professional staff, had garbage cans outside for people who were lined up. Came out and wrist banded people over 19+. Doors opened at exactly 6pm, in very fast, wide open venue! Bathrooms were clean, staff was helpful and the “pit” was awesome. Opener was on at exactly 7pm. Finished at 7:30pm and PVRIS came on around 7:55-8-55. They had the ac cranked during the show which was SO nice. Honestly best concert I’ve been too! Shout out to History, y’all know what you’re doing!
Preface: This is the first concert that I went to, went with a friend, first experience with the music, so I will try and focus this review on the venue and the show, not the genre, or music. The venue was okay. There was something odd with the audio. There was some kind of static, like things were maxing out the speakers. Additionally, it was really difficult to hear the lyrics over the instruments. I think I may understood...25% of the lyrics in a not-so-soft song. The backdrop was interesting, but also really odd? They used some kind of shadowing thing, where they projected the outline of what was happening on stage to a screen at the very BACK of the stage. It was really...80's/90's inspired? Pvris: A little bit of low energy, not sure if this is just...how they do things, but they just kind of moved from one side of the stage to the other. Some audience interaction with waving arms and clapping. Poppy: More energetic, higher energy. Audience interaction was a bit more natural, and included. Not sure if this is something that normally happens and I am just being a little picky, but the pre-recorded voice thing was a little odd, and a touch lazy. Having to yell a word in the middle of the pre-recorded voice seems pretty unprofessional. Would it really have been too much to throw in the city name into the recording so that it was seamless? Additionally, I don't know how much was actually done...Live. Maybe my expectations were too high though. Hard to tell. Overall, it was an okay show. Was it the best show to go to for my first concert? It set the standard for me for other shows. Not every show is going to be astounding, and amazing. I enjoyed myself, there was room for improvement.
