    Great day overall

by Lisa on 2022-06-15St. George's Golf and Country Club - Toronto

Well organized, amazing day. Having perks for Avion credit card holders was a good idea. The line up to enter the concert area was very disorganized and chaotic with no one to direct people properly. People were confused where to line up and many ended is budding in causing frustration. More express lines for Avion credit card holders would be a good idea.

    It was amazing!

    by J. C. on 2022-06-15St. George's Golf and Country Club - Toronto

Best golfers in the world! Great experience. Only thing was that no one gave you a map or flyer to follow the course. It was hard on the app.

    FANtastici!

by CongoDancerCaboose on 2022-06-15St. George's Golf and Country Club - Toronto

GREAT first concert since March 2020! Hosted through the Canadian Open at the highschool my sister & I went to (CRAZY!). The fun of literally being in "your own backyard" running into "blasts from the pasts" while singing our hearts out with 15000 others who are all just as thrilled to be a concert! Standing set up only (brilliant) and just $106 tickets. A fantastic night with Maroon 5! Actual Canadian Open. Went the Saturday only - really glad to have had the experience. What a course! WELL done on the organizing. Only two pieces of feedback: you said to bring our own water bottles/containers yet didn't have enough available water stations. You promoted bike riding to event on the site yet no one knew what to do with me on my bike lol.

    Best Day Ever

by Janie G on 2022-06-15St. George's Golf and Country Club - Toronto

I spent the day with my BFF of 53 years , enjoying my 2 favorite things in the world (Golf and Maroon 5) in the area where we both grew up. I was able to park my car at my parents and walk to the event. The event was very well run and the Rink was memorable. Marron 5 always puts on a great show. A job well done..

Golf was great, setup was indifferent

by MTgolf2022 on 2022-06-15St. George's Golf and Country Club - Toronto

The golf aspect was fantastic. It's a beautiful course that allowed for many excellent viewing opportunities. It felt like some of the roping off was a bit further back than in previous tournaments but all in all, cannot complain about the golf side of things. However, I felt the setup was poor. The location, as has been documented, isn't ideal. The shuttle from the Woodbine Mall was very long and very poorly executed. We arrived at 9am, parked up and got on the bus. Zero communication about different parking lots. When we returned that night, we had to wonder the parking lot trying to locate our car. The online parking setup was awful too. No direction. Make it free or have people properly setup at the gate to accept payment. At the course, I felt signage was quite poor. I didn't like that there were no paper/handout sheets for tee times which made me feel guilty about being on my phone regularly checking which groups were coming through next (and it inconveniently drains the battery on long days at the course). Post-round, I thought it was a bad look to have all of the golf carts for getting the course ready for the next day's play drive out among the crowd. The spectator should never see such things and certainly shouldn't be yelled at to move. Further to that point, it seemed like that were WAY too many carts on the course. I regularly felt like I was moving off the walking path to let a cart come through every 30 seconds. I've never seen that kind of volume at any PGA event before. Finally, we had every intention of staying for the post-game concert Saturday. But when the final group on our hole (14) came through at 4:50pm or so, being expected to wait more than 3:30 is ridiculous. We hung around for an hour but with still 2:30 to wait, we just left. Either move the concert start time forward to say 7pm, or start the golf an hour later (I know TV controls this but will still mention). My shuttle back to the parking lot was fully filled with people saying the same thing and judging by how many cars had left the parking lot already by 6pm, many others must feel the same. None of my feedback will prevent me from attending next year, regardless of venue. But felt it was necessary point a few things out. Also, make ice cream more readily available. It's nearly 30 degrees out, it shouldn't be near impossible to find an ice cream.

The golf was good but the experience was brutal

by TS on 2022-06-15St. George's Golf and Country Club - Toronto

Went Saturday. Food and drink staffing and supply was unacceptable. An hour wait for food just to be told the only remaining items were hamburgers with no condiments????

by Jake Bernard on 2022-06-15St. George's Golf and Country Club - Toronto

Was one of the best events me and the boys have attended. A five star event but if I had to make a comment - Food and drink was near impossible to wait in line for.

ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT AT CDN. OPEN

    by L. M. on 2022-06-15St. George's Golf and Country Club - Toronto

St. George's Golf Club was beautiful. Commute from tournament parking was quite long. Security and ticket verification was satisfactory, I guess. Food/drink CONCESSIONS WERE HORRIBLE. THEY SEEMED TO BE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THEIR POINT-OF-SALE SYSTEM AND WERE NOT TAKING CASH. SURELY YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO BUY A BOTTLE OF WATER OR A BEER IN THIS COUNTRY FOR CASH! CONCESSIONS WERE NOT STAFFED APPROPRIATELY AND WHAT STAFF THERE WAS DID NOT SEEM TO BE TRAINED WELL ENOUGH. HENCE, LINE UPS WERE RIDICULOUSLY LONG. ALSO, THERE WERE NOT ENOUGH GARBAGE CANS.

    RBC Canadian Open

by Golf watcher on 2022-06-15St. George's Golf and Country Club - Toronto

St Georges was a nice venue for the Open. A good variety of food available although both food and beverages was expensive IMO. Suggest better security at the 18th for the last group as the current security was overwhelmed, borderline dangerous. Would be nice if the LIV tour had events in Canada as there would be good competition for the PGA tour

Frat Party at the Canadian Open

by James D on 2022-06-15St. George's Golf and Country Club - Toronto

The amount of alcohol consumed on the closing day, by attendees, was out too much for a day time sporting event. Drunk "30 - somethings" weaving around the course and spoiling it for many spectators. Pushing, shoving, foul language. The event looked like a large frat party. Also, no real access for ticket holders to the 18th green. It was surrounded by VIP bleachers. Would have loved to see, and experience, live the win of Rory McIlroy.

Sunday at the RBC Canadian Open

by GolfWatcher on 2022-06-15St. George's Golf and Country Club - Toronto

What an excellent set-up! Our experience was fantastic. The course was beautiful and very accessible. Everything from parking, transport to the course, food and drink options, course volunteers, and staffing was on point. We had outstanding customer service moments with the staff on the bus, course volunteers, staff at the souvenir shop, and the servers at 1904Club. Well done Golf Canada - looking forward to our next chance to see the Canadian Open in person.

Terrible Spectator Experience, Shame on RBC

by TMS on 2022-06-15St. George's Golf and Country Club - Toronto

This was by far the worst Canadian Open - the 2019 Open was 10 times better in terms of organization, structure, access to fan services, and overall experience. From the moment we arrived at Woodbine Mall to park our car we knew this event was poorly organized - terrible signage, lack of communication, massive unnecessary lines and huge delays. And then once you entered the course, terrible signage that was actually incorrect in some cases and adjusted by a scribbled sharpie. The number of concession stands was appalling and again no signage to organize lines for mobile orders causing line ups of over 100 people who didn't know where to go, and not only that but food stands ran out of food and drink within just a few hours. Only two water stations throughout the entire course felt like a human rights violation and absolutely horrendous to see. On-top of that, due to the massive crowds it was impossible to actually watch the golf but a few more screens with coverage could have helped with that. At the 18th we got caught in this tunnel of people and then ushered down this path with absolutely no indication by any of the staff where we were being sent - turns out it was the exit and most people standing with us also had no idea they were leaving the Open. Truly hope St George's never hosts the Open again, because from the Spectator point of view, it was terrible.

    Fantastic event

A great golf tournament, exciting to the fi al hole. Only criticism was the long lineups at food and drink vendors.

World class event, ending with a thrilling finish!!

by @mike_golfs2 on 2022-06-14St. George's Golf and Country Club - Toronto

Given the location of the venue and challenges with overall setup and logistics, it was a tremendous event that showcased how well organized the production team were. Fantastic field of players, appreciative and excited fans and volunteers - truly a World Class tour event, in a World Class City
