Having never seen Reverend Horton Heat before, I had no idea what to expect going into this show. I was absolutely blown away, and look forward to the next time these guys are in town.
Very big let down that necromanix wasn't there and that there was no notice till the act started. the Rev was AMAZING!!!! I'll be seeing them everytime they're in town to be sure!
The Reverend Horton Heat was high energy with an awesome crowd. I'm going again for sure.
Unbelievable show. The energy was amazing from the second the band walked on to the stage, right until the lights went down. I'd never seen the Reverend before, so this was my baptism. I am now converted :) Thanks for the great show and, as always, FANTASTIC, historic venue!
Seen this band 7 times now,6 times at the Commodore.Always puts on a great show.
Awesome show as always. Opened with some of his usual's, but then did some new music very country sounding, good but not my favorite of his. Then he turned up the heat and rocked it with Jimbo there! Drum solo was kicking it!!!
High energy show as usual by the Rev. They really know how to work the crowd. Too bad that there wasn't more merch, especially for girls. Overall, great show - as usual!
I've been to Reverend Horton Heat for the past 3 years - this show was the best yet!
OK, OK, Nekromantix didn't quite make it but... BUT: Reverend Horton Heat delivered! Awesome show; him and his music never get old.
I've seen the Rev numerous times over the years & they never fail to disappoint! This was another great show. Not to mention the Commodore is a great venue to see this band live. The opening act Rich Hope & His Evil Doers was awesome!!! I never heard of the guy before lat night, but now i'm hooked. Check him out!
great show. solid set list. basically played all the hits from holly roller, which is their greatest hits. mid set they played 3 or so new songs from their upcoming release out september 2009. but essentially other than the new songs it was the exact same set as they played the previous year here in vancouver. last year they played a cover song from each decade. 50's 60's et etc. paranoid from the 70's, 80's i cant remember teen spirit for the 90's. i thought that it was a neat gimmick. understand that i'm not complaining that it was a very similar show to last year. cus i love the hits and if they didn't play them i'd be down. but i find it interesting that they do play the hits over and over. alot of bands will through rare or new material on stage, for example the black crowes, but not these guys. i guess they know what their fans want and they give it to them. awsome show. i'll probaly go see them again...
The show was better than I thought it was going to be!! I was mainly going to see nekromantix and disappointed to hear that they weren't playing but got a big surprise with the great performance that the reverend put on.
The reverend consistently delivers the best live rock and roll show, period
First time to see a concert of this music. It was lively and exciting! we will definately look into seeing The Revernd again.
