Riverdance announces its 30th Anniversary celebrations.

Since Riverdance first emerged onto the world stage, its fusion of Irish and international dance and music has captured the hearts of millions worldwide. The Grammy award-winning music and the infectious energy of its mesmerising choreography and breathtaking performances has left audiences in awe and established Riverdance as a global cultural sensation.

To celebrate this incredible 30th year milestone, Riverdance will embark on a special anniversary tour, bringing its magic to audiences around the world.  This spectacular production rejuvenates the much-loved original show with new innovative choreography, costumes and state of the art lighting, projection and motion graphics. Excellent in every way

by Val on 2022-04-29National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Riverdance is. The performers danced their heart out. It was fast paced and exciting all the way. Dancers leaping across the stage was breathtaking. The musicians were excellent. The “drummer” played a multitude of instruments…he was amazing. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!

Ticketmaster was great, Riverdance was fantastic!

by SAM on 2022-04-26FirstOntario Concert Hall - Hamilton

One problem however, I found it difficult to find the First Ontario complex in Hamilton. The address is on the ticket, although the complex is tucked away in an area that was previously a bus terminal. I didn't see any see any signs or they were hard to spot, and I didn't see any street sign. I didn't realize there was a second First Ontario concert hall about one block over on the opposite side of the road which is where I went to first and had to be redirected over to the location where Riverdance was performing. Still didn't see it and walked right by it. Had to ask for directions from a nice looking girl who walked with me back down the road to show me where to go. I arrived late and missed a good part of the first half, but the show was fantastic, dancers, music, sound and visuals were just as I had hoped. Arrangements through Ticketmaster was simple, had the ticket available on my phone, easy to find parking. Great job, thanks.

    Just Awesome !

by Gibby on 2022-04-25National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

My wife and I seen Lord of the Dance with Michael Flatley some years ago and just loved the whole show. The Dancing, the stepping, the unison, the music, the entire show was just Great. So when we seen the show Riverdance, 25th Anniversary was in Ottawa at the NAC, we had to go. And once again, this show did not let us down, it was Awesome. From the breathtaking scenery in the background to the wicked dancers, the fabulous musicians, the beautiful songs and the Drummer playing the Bodhran among other instruments was Beautiful, just beautiful. The Choreography was impressive. Our hats off to the cast and the hard work they put in to give a perfect performance. 👏🏻 Congrats. R & G.

One of the best performances from Riverdance . They did not miss a beat and the stage set, dances, music ( singing and the instrumental) was exquisite. I would definitely recommend this show to anyone .

My wife and I saw Riverdance in Ottawa about 25 years ago and it was truly amazing. This time we took our two granddaughters (ages 10 and 14), to see the updated Riverdance, hoping they might share a similar experience that we had long ago. It was similar and the updated version was different. The visual effects , change in settings and arrangements, were dully noted. The first showing was truly amazing , and the biggest difference for me was this updated show was easily twice as good. A special thanks to all for the performance and the cherished memory for myself , my wife , and most importantly ..... my granddaughters.

    Music overpowered the tap!

by Mel on 2022-04-21National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

I was so excited for this show, I've been wanting to see Riverdance for years. I used to watch videos on Youtube and always got chills! However, the show I saw at the NAC was a bit disappointing. Quite often, I found the music too loud, completely overpowering the tap dancing sound - either the music was too loud, or the 'floor' mics were way too low. They did a few numbers that had no music and those were incredible! It's a real shame. Don't get me wrong the music was good, they are excellent musicians, but I think most, if not all, people and there to see (and hear!) the tap dance!

    Riverdance 25th Anniversary

by BLT on 2022-04-21National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

An incredible show as good or better than the show 25 years ago. I spend Easter Sunday afternoon with my 84 year old dad watching Riverdance! His words were 'it was an awesome afternoon'.
