by Groovedancer on 2012-04-23Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoTen years later and Riverdance still delivers. Jean butler and Michael flatly may be gone but the next generation are clearly up to task. Live musicians held true to the original score and although the company is smaller, the corps was right and the singers voices rang clear. The only disappointment for me was the singer in the second act sang an octave higher than the original, so he did not resonate as deeply as I had hoped. Overall, worth the traffic jam due to the relay and the demonstration.

by shuska on 2012-04-23Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoA wonderful performance by all the artists on Riverdance. Thoroughly enjoyed it
Rating: 2 out of 5by Anonymous on 2012-04-23Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto Overall the event failed to meet my expectation. I thought I was going to watch a show primarily about a high energy foot-stomping and heel-tapping experience. As the show progressed, I quickly realized that there was a lot of 'filler' which included solos that had nothing to do with the dancing and suspect fully more to do with Irish folk songs and culture. Singing, bag-pipes, flutes, violins were all among the solos that seem to go on forever and took up about 1/2 the show time. The foot-stomping and heel-tapping that was actually in the show was done very well and I would not hesitate to recommend seeing just those aspects.

by Twink2010 on 2012-04-23Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoWas alot of fun! They looked like jumping Leprechauns when dressed in green!
Rating: 5 out of 5by Sepideh on 2012-04-23Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto An awesome and breath-taking show! It was worth taking the trip from Kitchener to Toronto.
Rating: 5 out of 5by Michaelzee on 2012-04-23Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto Riverdance was wonderful. My girlfriend and I both had a great time at the show. The dancing was amazing, as was the music. We were amazed by the percussionist, who played a variety of percussion instruments non-stop throughout the show. Really was worth seeing!

by Emese on 2012-04-23Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoThis was my second time seeing Riverdance. I saw the very first performance in the 90's and witnessed the "final curtain".

by FindLidia on 2012-04-23Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoMy fiance and I loved the performance on April 20th. Somehow they easily capture the audience and envelope them into the performance.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Second time in 3 days
by Beeper2020 on 2012-04-22Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoThe show in Toronto was just as fantastic as in Hamilton. I felt the principals were a bit better in Hamilton but the overall show was just as good. I had better seats in Toronto sitting in row B so the footwork of dancers was clearer. They are an amazing group of talented young people. The show had the perfect balance of dance and music. Like I said before, hope they come back real soon because it is a long way to Dublin to see them.
Rating: 5 out of 5by OK73 on 2012-04-22Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto My daughter and I enjoyed the show, even more than we had expected to. I found I was smiling all the time.
Rating: 5 out of 5by fouge on 2012-04-22Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto This was my 2nd time seeing this show... it was as amazing as I remembered and well worth the money. The finale at the end of act one and end of show were incredible and breath-taking. The choregraphy is awesome... all dancers are in snych and mix in the sound of the dance when they all hit the floor at the same time you have a hair raising feeling/moment. Disappointing thing: No program for the show - what's that all about?! First time I've been to a show without a program!
Rating: 4 out of 5 Riverdance was spectacular
by UKCan6 on 2012-04-22Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoThe music was haunting, lively and joyful all in turns. The dancing unbelievable!
Rating: 5 out of 5 Riverdance was fantabulous!
by Irishcanuck on 2012-04-22Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoI thought the show was out of this world. I used to do Irish dancing for 13 yrs way back when, (I'm 52) and it brought me back to those unforgettable care-free exciting days! I would definitely invite everyone to experience it. It was also nice the many demographics enjoying Irish dancing!
Rating: 4 out of 5 Riverdance is truly an amazing experience
by GwenSoca on 2012-04-22Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoIt was an amazing show that anyone, young and old, would love to watch. I love the dancing especially the tap dancing show off between the different groups. It is a definite must see for everyone before the show is completely done.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Spectacular!
by zeramuas on 2012-04-22Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoI have been trying to see Riverdance for several years now. I had tickets on two prior occasions, but always end up having to cancel because of travels... I was finally able to see them on Friday. Excellent! I was very happy to finally see them. It was spectacular. If your a big fan of tap dance, you will love it. If you a fan of celtic music, you will love it. If your a fan of both, you will adore it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Riverdance
by ctucker on 2012-04-21Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoThis is a must see performance. The dancing, singing and music was fantastic. When the lights went down the entire audience went quiet. No one moved from their seat, not even a peep was heard. From the young to the elderly, we were all captivated. I found myself tapping my feet and clapping my hands to the beat of the music. It did not take long for the entire audience to do the same. The dancers and musicians should feel very proud of their performance and the allure they conveyed to us. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Spanish dancer and the tap dancers in the show. It gave me a better perspective on the difference between them and the Irish dancing. I have to say that it is the Irish dancing I prefer. It is a much more elegant dance. The piper and the violinist were very entertaining but I have to say that it was the drummer that won my vote. His energy and enthusiasm was fantastic. During his solo performance all I could think was "Holly Arthritis". How his wrist survives is beyond me. My husband is from Newfoundland and the music played took him home. Thank you River Dance performers.
