    Music & Dancing was Amazing

by Kikidville on 2012-04-21Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

Very enjoyable show. Preferred the dancing to the musical interludes & singing. The dancers are incredible! Would prefer if they didn't slow it down so much between dance numbers. Prefer Lord of the Dance because the showdowns are the most exciting part of the show for me & I found that the intensity was much higher throughout the show. My two favorite parts of the show were when the whole ensemble was dancing in a line & best of all was the showdown between the two street dancers & the three celtic dancers. That was very enertaining! This was my 2nd time at Riverdance & I would go again.

    Riverdance Never Disappoints

by Beeper2020 on 2012-04-21Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

This is the 4th time I have seen Riverdance when it comes around. I was amazed the first time and have been every since. I do not know how anyone could not like this show, The mix of songs and dance is unequalled in anything I have seen. The notice said this was the last time the show would play in Canada. I sure how that this statement is wrong. If it comes back anywhere in North America in a couple of years, I will get tickets and go again. If I could talk to the producers, I would tell them to not let it die. Continue this unique show so more people can have the chance to see something extraordinary. PLEASE DO NOT LET RIVERDANCE DIE!!!!!!!!!!

Riverdance was fantastic. I couldn't believe how fast the foot work was in the tap dancing. there was not a dull moment. Glad I went!

    River Dance a must see

by JoMick10 on 2012-04-09Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

This was the second time I have seen River Dance and it was as fantastic as the first. The Dancers made me want to get up and join them and the Singers voices made me think of my relatives back in Ireland and thier struggles. They make me want to enroll my granddaughter into Irish dance as soon as she is able to walk!!!!! I am sorry this is the last tour. I could watch these performers again and again.

    Riverdance was totally awesome!

by MissRhyme on 2012-04-02Barrie Molson Centre - Barrie

The show was energetic, romantic, humorous and totally entertaining. It was emotionally moving as it told the story of the growth, then scattering of a people and of the developement of various styles of tap dance.

    A Great Performance

by ZepperFan on 2012-04-02Barrie Molson Centre - Barrie

As expected, this was a great performance by a very talented group of dancers and musicians. Very polished and may I say, very easy on the eyes especially for the men in the audience. We had third row seats and from that vantage point one could really appreciate not only the footwork but height that these people so effortlessly jump into the air. Phenominal ! The principle dancers were amazing to watch. I would defintiely go back again. Word to the wise, get there early because once the show starts, they only let people in at the end of each number which are 7 to 10 minutes in length so if you are seated before it starts, you miss some of the show.

    Riverdance was amazing!

by River1 on 2012-04-01Barrie Molson Centre - Barrie

Riverdance show was a great event, we really enjoyed it and definitely go again. I would like to mention that we had seats on the floor of the arena and was not the greatest for viewing. I would definitely get the bleachers next time and not the floor seating.

    Great Show!!!

by CubianLady on 2012-04-01Barrie Molson Centre - Barrie

The show was great!! Those dancers have an amazing talent!! I would recommend the show to anyone!! I however would not recommend sitting on the Floor Seats!! Couldn't see the dancers feet very well. That is what you are there for, to see the dancers feet and how they move!!

Riverdance-not what it was in 1998

by sewneat55 on 2011-07-14Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary, Alberta

Event date was 04/24/2011. SYSTEM WOULD NOT LET ME ENTER THE CORRECT DATE. Just not what it was when we saw the original in 1998. We came to see RiverDANCE and had to endure through too much band music and singing. One number of each would have been enough. The band music was far TOO loud for 3-4 of the dance numbers. Could not hear the 'taps' from the shoes! Was that to hide the dancers that were off-time? Our daughter's Irish Dance school puts on a better performance than this. This was way too amateurish. Hey people. save your money and find a performance by an Irish dance school.

Not what it was 3 years ago

by quadfour on 2011-05-25Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

We went 3 years ago and were amazed, the dancing never stopped. We talked 3 friends into coming with us this year praising the event like crazy, not everyone can afford $100 a seat. I was very disappointed, the dancing is not even close to the caliber it was before nor was there as much. The musical interludes were to long and repetitive. The spanish dancer looked like she did the same number twice?? I came to see some spectacular tap dancing and left very disappointed, yes there were a couple moments, not enough. Last time our hearts raced through out the whole show leaving us breathless. We literally almost fell asleep during the long musicals this time. Sorry to be so negative, but even the 3 friends whom I did not voice my opinion too, did state that they thought it would be more than it was. You got my money this time, I won't go again, nor will I recommend it.

I love music and dancing so this was not hard to like. I always marvel at how the top part of the Irish dancers bodies can be so straight and still while their legs are doing this amazing dance. I liked that there was singing as well as dancing and the whole chorus was great. There was great variety: Irish dancing, tap dancing, flamenco dancer and the River Dance singers.
