This is the third time I have seen this show and I would certainly go again. I saw it the first time it came to Edmonton and then the time before this and again now. WHOA... It is amazing to watch and the music just makes you want to get up and dance.
Great show - lively, energetic and impressive talent.
The drums drowned out the fiddle, horns, etc. especially the first Solos. Drums made the dancing seem fake because the drumming overpowered the dancers footwork in many of the sets. The backdrop was a show in itself. Really enjoyed. From our seats, the dancers legs were black, their shoes were black and the stage floor was black. I know their footwork was amazing, but really couldn't see it well.
This is the first time I've seen Riverdance. I was amazed with the energy and precise footwork of these fantastic dancers/entertainers. Time went by quickly and they had my total attention during the complete show. I would recommend this production to everyone, and would love to see it again. Excellent production!
Riverdance totally rocked (or tapped)! It is amazing.
we clapped, we were uplifted. Every detail of the show made it a fantastic experience.
Overall it was pretty good, but I was expecting it to be a bigger production with more dancers. The music and dancing was good but there seemed to be some odd transitions at times, leaving the audience waiting and wondering what was going on.
On a scale of 10/10, it was a 9/10. I took my husband and a friend with stage 4 cancer. This event was on my friend's bucketlist. The only bad side was the fellow sitting behind me kept putting his foot and leg into the back of my seat throughout the show. y advice to ticketholders is, don't disrupt someone's time at the show by being noisy or moving your body parts into the seat infront of you. Thanks to the cast for helping my friend have a wonderful time during the preformance.
The show was pretty good, not quite as much going on like I thought it would be, I was expecting more group dancing, but the stage was smaller for this performance so that probably played a role, very high energy !!
I found the stage to be very small. The dancers had such limited space I wonder if it influenced the performance at all? There was a lot of singing numbers and not enough dancing for me. Sorry, not thrilled, It seemed to be lacking energy. I know that sounds weird for Riverdance, but it just wasn't there.
I've seen Riverdance twice prior to this tour and was very disappointed this time. Now in all fairness this was their last peformance for the tour and they could have been tired. But I found too much singing and not enough dancing. The lead dancers just didn't seem to have passion and commitment this was a job not something that they loved to do.
absolutely incredible!. On the edge of my seat through the entire show. if you were to take 2 of your fingers and move them as fast as you can , you still will not be able to move them as fast as the dancers feet, I swear! I would recommend anyone of any age and sex should see this show! A huge THANK YOU to the performers for the night and god bless you for having an unbelievable talent that you have chosen to share with others!
I had seen the 1st River Dance and Celtic Tiger with Michael Flatly...The lead guy in this performance was actually pathetic , didn’t command the stage or captivate the audience in no way. Reminded us all of a skinnier Will Farrell. It ruined the entire show! There were 12 in our party and non would return again!! Even if we had free tickets!
I've never been disappointed when Riverdance comes to Edmonton. I've never seen the same lead dancers twice, but each troupe brings the same heart, spirit and magic to the stage, and I always leave feeling just as enchanted as I did my first time seeing the show. I love the way the different parts of the story transition from one to the next, and how the music and choreography draw the audience in to experience all of the emotions as though we ourselves are a part of the community being portrayed through Riverdance.
Riverdance is a spectacular show! It truly is an event to see!
I love to watch Riverdance. The way they move their feet is just amazing, and the music and voices are wonderful as well. I didn't enjoy the babies crying in the audience, but I still had a great time.
My Grandchildren were mesmorized for the whole event. Wonderful entertainment
Thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Quite extraordinary. The speed of the movement of their feet was quite amazing.
Loved the dance, the music, the energy and the colour. Drumming was sensational! Footwork was jaw-dropping!
