About

Roger Hodgson is universally acclaimed as one of the most gifted composers and lyricists of our time.  Hodgson co-founded Supertramp in 1969 and helped define a generation of progressive rock.  He is the singer/songwriter of such globally successful and enduring anthems as "The Logical Song," "Breakfast in America," "Give a Little Bit," "Take the Long Way Home," "Dreamer," "It's Raining Again," "School," "Fool's Overture," and many more timeless songs that helped his former band sell well over 60 million albums to date.

For many fans, Roger Hodgson was the spiritual force behind the band for the 14 years prior to his departure in 1983.  While he and the other co-founder, Rick Davies, shared writing credit, they actually wrote and composed separately.

Hodgson continues to tour extensively worldwide performing not only his classics, but also material from his solo albums.  For additional information, visit

Roger completely captivated the audience with his sincerity, amazing voice, and his band! His music had people up and dancing almost immediately - definitely one of the top 5 concerts I have seen in all my years of concert-going!

  • Rodger Hodgson was wonderful!

by Cid1 on 2015-11-30Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - CoquitlamRating: 5 out of 5

From the moment he came out and simply asked everyone to leave all the problems at the door, and just to relax and enjoy the next 2 hours, to all the wonderful music, his voice being amazing, to the enthusiasm of the audience, and just what a wonderful evening! I hope he enjoyed paying as much as we loved listening! The man is timeless.

  • Still got it!

If you're a Supertramp fan, you're a Roger Hodgson fan, This guy is an amazing talent. He sings like no body's business, is incredibly adept on keys and guitar, and writes master pieces. Outstanding! I only hope he makes it to Victoria next time round. He was accompanied by some fine Canadian talent, in particular, Aaron MacDonald on wind instruments and keys, awesome.

  • Rodger Hodgson Spectacular as usual!!

  • Wish The Concert Never Ended

by Celtic7 on 2015-11-28Club Regent Event Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Nearly 10 years as a solo and 25 with Supertramp since Rodger Hodgson's last appearance here, It was like a blast from the past. Voice still well intact, Rodger and his bands nearly 2 hour performance of hits from great Supertramp albums such as Crime of the Century, Breakfast In America, etc. were as fresh as ever. Rodger has such a magnetic persona that he draws you into his music, which leaves you wishing the show would never end.

  • An amazing show!

by Jeanne52 on 2015-11-27Club Regent Event Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

What a fantastic show. Roger Hodgson's voice is still top-notch. He has a way of connecting with people, seems quite humble, actually, so it just makes us appreciate that much more his performance, especially in a smaller venue. Last time Supertramp was is Winnipeg was in 1981, so many fans are 50+. This concert did not blast our ears off, the volume was just perfect. Roger played hit after hit, and also some lesser-known tunes which were extremely well-received by the crowd. Just five incredibly talented guys on stage, no special effects - it was quite intimate, actually. The Regent Casino holds 2000 seats, and I find this is just the perfect venue for a great evening out. Comfy seats, free parking, no huge crowds, what more could one ask for. Well, one could ask for another Roger Hodgson concert!

  • Roger Hodgson was fantastic!

This small venue was much, much more than I expected! I would go again next month if he were to return to Winnipeg. It actually gave me goosebumps which only has happened at one other concert-Santanna! Not much more to say but thank you to Roger Hodgson and his crew!

  • Roger Hodgson Rocked !!!

by DessestGirl77 on 2015-11-27Club Regent Event Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Roger Hodgson's voice is still incredible ! Totally blown away by the bands use of instruments and their own vocal talents ! Amazing is all I can say. I left feeling a real sense of actually getting to know him and the band. He truly made you feel like he was performing JUST FOR US. He was such a pleasure to watch and is such a genuinely nice man, which was evident in the way he was always smiling and making contact with the audience and his band members. I would definitely see another show and I highly recommend seeing if you can !

Very talented group. Would see them again. Seats were great. Lots of leg room, view was good. It's a small venue so I don't think there really is a bad seat. The only issue was the amount of people getting up during the show to go get drinks and how much talking was going on. It was only a 2 hour show and because it was such a small venue I think that there could of been a little more consideration shown for the audience who were there to enjoy the show, not there for a visit with the person they were next to. And I'm sure the band themselves noticed all the commotion too. But people are people......

Wow, What a great concert. He's still got his voice and the music was mixed well. Overall a fantastic night. It went by very quickly, was over too soon.

  • RH and band were great

by Ron50 on 2015-11-27Club Regent Event Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

One of the things that really stood out was how Rogers voice was still so perfect. A lot of performers from his era can't quite hit the high notes. He can, easily! And the musicianship in the band was amazing, not just Rogers great piano playing and astounding picking of a 12 string which is extremely hard, but the versatility of them all. Horns were great and the other piano was too as was the solid rythmn section! Can't say enough!

Roger Hodgson, his band, back-up singers, Rama orchestra, and the Elora choir were all totally amazing!!! This was our third time seeing Roger - what a fabulous entertainer, and what a beautiful smile that he shares with the audience! And he is always so proud to be in Canada!!! The man is brilliant - so talented and humble. Love his story telling before most of his songs. I wish the show was an extra hour easily. The orchestra accompaniment was wonderful.

  • Roger always delivers

by LivinginthePast on 2015-11-25Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome show. Roger always delivers a spectacular performance and the band members didn't disappoint either. Amazing wind and horn play named Aaron. One of the best artists I seen - lots of soul. Great orchestra and backup singers too!

He was awesome!! Didn't realize his songs had so much meaning until seeing him in person. His relationship with his audience was admirable! Would definitely recommend him to anyone. And the added symphony is something everyone should see at least once in their lifetime. The show was great!!

  • Always a great concert

by Burzie on 2015-11-24Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

He never fails to deliver a wonderful concert. Brings back memories of the Supertramp days for sure. The orchestra, choir, singers and the band are absolutely wonderful. Just wish it could go on longer but all good things must come to an end I suppose. We've seen Roger at Rama now for probably 11 years, and look forward to it every year!!

  • Amazing is the perfect word!

    by Sonatamom23 on 2015-11-24Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

I have had the opportunity to see most of the great artists of the 70's and 80's perform over the years, and Roger Hogson's show definitely lands in the top 5. It was more than just his amazing voice and music; it was his humanity and obvious joy of performing that put this show over the top. Musician extraordinaire, personality extraordinaire ... I can't recommend this highly enough. Can't wait for his return to Rama next year.

The symphony makes this concert A+.. Roger's voice is amazing and his selection of titles to play makes the concert makes the experience better.
