About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

  • Rush was Amazing

by AmazingRush on 2011-07-16Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Rush really put on an excellent show. Loved it! They really know how to put on a concert. The videos were really well thought out and very entertaining! The only down-side was the inconsiderate fan sitting next to me Sec 323 Row 1 Seat 10. He leaned forward on the rail the WHOLE show - the rail has a note asking people not to - so myself and the next person could barely see the stage around is bald head and arms. thanks alot for being so inconsiderate!

  • Great Show

by Anonymous on 2011-07-13Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

It was surprisingly less about their greatest hits and more to do with just how great of musicians they were. The solos were insane and really unforgetable. Fantastic show!

  • An intense 3 hour set!

by Totofan on 2011-07-12Gorge Amphitheatre - GeorgeRating: 5 out of 5

I can't add much to what has been said before. This band is incredible and never ceases to amaze, especially given the (advancing) age of the power trio. From start to finish, an unbelievably high energy set yet so tight it's hard to believe they can pull this stuff off! These guys are legends and even casual (rock) fans would absolutely enjoy the show.

  • Rush- Time Machine Vancouver

by SKappleman on 2011-07-11Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This was my 7th Rush concert and the best I have seen since Permanent Waves!!! The Camera's Eye was amazing to say the least. And bravo for playing my favorite " an exercise in self indulgence " as Neal would translate, like a great red wine or fine scotch some things just keep on getting better with age.

  • Always phenominal

by wingedwarrior on 2011-07-10Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen Rush so many times I have lost count (about 20 times). Every time it is a fantastic show. This time was no exception! It was great to see them pull out older songs, that are great ,that they hadn't played in recent concerts (Time Stand Still, Subdivisions, Closer to the Heart etc) I've always said Rush could put on 4 different concerts in a row in the same city....all being different songs.....and every one would be fantastic! Even the retro lighting for the Moving Pictures segment was well appreciated for us old folks that saw them in the beginning. Being a drummer I would have liked to have seen Neil use his electric drums more but I have seen that in the past so it wasn't a big deal. I always go away from a Rush concert saying "they didn't play this song....or they didn't play that song" For example "Big Money" "Roll the Bones" "The way out is the way in" "Mystic Rhythms"and so many more. That"s why they need to do 4 shows. I will always go see Rush because it is always incredible!

  • Rush better than ever

by kavicrocks on 2011-07-10Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This was my second Rush show, the 1st was back in 1990 or 89. I found this show better than earlier, they still sound amazing.

  • Good to step back in time!

by AH1974 on 2011-07-09Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

It was awesome! They did more good hits this time than 3 yrs ago, like time stands still, spirit of radio, and closer to heart. I liked the movies showin them back in time, or guys goin into change rooms wantin their autographs, and Rush pretendin to be arrogant (I've heard that about geddy lee!), but them he gives him guitar at end! Would've liked Big Money, New Wold Man, Distanat Early Warning, Force Ten, and The Trees (What I judge a show by - good songs done! Overal,, much better than last one!

  • Russshhh!!!

by MineNotYours246 on 2011-07-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was awesome, sound was perfect, could hear all instruments individually is I listened. Vocals could be heard over everything and lyrics heard well. Acoustics usually not so good in the venue Rogers Arena I've heard but this was one of the best jobs they've done there that I've seen. Awesome band, awesome performance.

  • Rush

by cafisherguy on 2011-07-07Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The best RUSH tour ever, extremely good sound and a great mix of tunes. 3 and a half hours long with a short break between sets.

  • Incredible talent!!

by Squarie on 2011-07-06Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Rush played the whole concert themselves. There was no opening band. They must have played 2.5 to 3 hours with just a short 15 min break part way through. For a 3 person band the concert was one of the best I have ever seen. This trio is so musically talented - just amazing musicians. I would definitely go see them again!

  • Rush delivers

by Drummerdude2112 on 2011-07-06Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen Rush shows spanning more than three decades now (I have a friend from back east that remembers Rush playing at his high school many moons ago). The Time Machine tour doesn't disappoint, the band is playing so tight together, an absolutely stellar performance and they all seem to be having tons of fun up there onstage. Go see them while you can, this level of musicianship doesn't come around all that often anymore. So when it does, ENJOY!

  • Rush - Still Kicking, Still Pouring It On!!

by Bravado on 2011-07-06Gorge Amphitheatre - GeorgeRating: 5 out of 5

The Gorge show was awesome!! The guys were having a great time and they sounded the best I've seen. The late first half of the first set was very strong and the second set was unreal. These guys are tight and hearing Geddy sing through all the high notes like in "Free Will" was the best!! Neil and Alex can rip it up too for sure. Neil is just a God up there on his kit. Alex and Geddy are just a pleasure to watch as well. I'll keep seeing them until they pull the pin which will be a very sad day in the music world. These guys just know their stuff and are so underrated but who cares, I know there craft is the best!! Never stop kicking it out guys!! It's always a pleasure to be at one of Rush's shows.

  • best band in the galaxy

by horvy on 2011-07-05Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen them about ten times and each concert is better than the last.

  • RUSH KEEPS GETTING BETTER!

by GUBBY73 on 2011-07-05Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely award winning musicianship everytime. RUSH is the only band I have seen decades later continue to improve their craft and the bottom line, be better than they were the last concert tour. Funny screen show before, during and after the show that chronicles their 40 year career with Geddy, Alex and Neil as the actors and in some cases, monkeys. If you attend one concert a decade, you have got to see these guys.

  • by Anonymous on 2011-07-05Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent performance by talented musicians! You can't ask for much more than that.

  • RUSH!! BEST CONCERT EVER!

by neilpeart on 2011-07-05Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Rush was one of the greatest concerts ever. Not only did it start of strong but it finished stong, The band included the audinence and made us feel like one of them. The music was absolutley insane and the talent that these 3 men have are outrageuous. It was funny and fun and you didnt need to be the biggest rush fan to enjoy the concert. From the concert you could tell that they were guys like us which was really refreshing. I had loads of fun and everyone should see this concert. If they dont, you are missing out. Rush musical wise is insane and performance wise is close behind. The setlist was perfect and needed no changes..although a few older songs from their first album could have been included but the different renditions they did for the live affect was unreal and unforgetable. It was for sure the best concert i have seen so far and I would definatley go again.

  • Rush rocked the house!!

by Christophalis on 2011-07-04Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The opening segment was entertaining and segued into Spirit of the Radio. They were as tight as ever!! They are simply 3 of the best musicians ever. The encore was awesome and the closing video was a great way to end a rocking evening. Greatest Canadian rock and roll band of all time!!

  • by Anonymous on 2011-07-04Gorge Amphitheatre - GeorgeRating: 5 out of 5

RUSH is an iconic band. You could tell they were a bit worn, as it was the last stop on their tour. But they put so much heart and soul into their performance. I would see them play again any chance I can get!! The volume was good, but the vocals were too loud: Geddy's voice was obviously in bad shape from previous shows, often quite off key. We were dismayed that the sound engineers did not adjust the levels to make listening more comfortable. The amount of video on the musicians could definitely been better. Other bands hang several screens behind them and have video of them constantly. This helps the viewers at the back feel part of the show.
