About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

Alex, Geddy , and Neil are better than ever! Geddy was "slappin the Bass" The time machine tour took me back to the Seventies at Maple Leaf Gardens on New Years Eve. Wish I could see them again!

  • Rush was spectacular as always!

by SpiritofRadio on 2011-04-21Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Even though we were sitting at the back of the venue near the top, the sound quality was excellent: the best I've heard in a while. The videos were entertaining and were high-def quality. The band was, as always, phenominal in their musical ability and showmanship. Five stars all the way!!!

  • Rush is at the top of their game

by Rash on 2011-04-21Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

I have been going to Rush conerts for over 30 years and although all their shows are great the Time Machine Tour is by far their best - Keep it up boys

  • Outstanding as expected

    by 2112andsuch on 2011-04-21Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

This was the third time I visited a show on the Time Machine tour, and although I would say the experience was somewhat inferior to the last show I visited, that has absolutely nothing to do with the band or show itself. The last concert I attended was in the third row, centre stage, which although was incredibly expensive, it was probably one of the best experiences of my life. The bottom line: incredible show, but if you're like me and like to be surrounded by a crowd who is totally into the show, and absolutely refuse to sit down at all throughout the set, spend the extra cash on a floor seat. Up in the upper bowls (where I sat this time), you get a lot of unenthused fans and terrible cases of what I call 'viral sitting', where if one person decides to sit down, everyone else feels guilty and has to sit down for the rest of the show. Not necessarily the most enjoyable thing at such an amazing and mind-blowingly energetic concert to have to sit down for the whole thing. Regardless, the band is still outstanding, and still keeps getting more and more skilled as time passes. They really know how to put on a great show.

  • Timeless in the Time Machine

by DJTIMCA on 2011-04-21Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

A Rush show is more of a clinic in musicianship and precision than a "show" the way today's artists put them on there are no dancers, no runway out into the crowd, and very limited use of explosives, but the simplicity of the "show" only serves to emphasize the incredible talent of these three legendary rockers. From the introductory polka video to the encore Neil, Geddy, and Alex didn't miss a note or a beat and as always Neil was lights out in yet another incredible drum solo!

  • Rush - better than ever .... believe it or not ...

  • Rush Time Machine Tour

by SandiM on 2011-04-20The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 5 out of 5

Rush performed an amazing concert!!! We really enjoyed the entire performance. A great stage and lots of light works to add to the environment.

  • Rush was amazing!

by CrazyShopper on 2011-04-20The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 5 out of 5

This was my third Rush concert and probably the best (so far). I loved the background video and close-ups of the artist during the performance. Its great to see and hear musicians who have such passion in their writing and playing!

  • RUSH was average

by Pendulum on 2011-04-20The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 3 out of 5

the GOOD Great sound quality at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Musically, RUSH played excellent as well. The 2nd half of the show was filled with all the hits and the crowd loved it. the BAD What a crappy 1st half set-list. I think people around me were starting to fall asleep during the beginning half of the show. No hits, all song from current un-popular albums. Looking around the Palace was defenitly an older crowd. Meaning they were likely expecting the older hits. The UGLY Geddy Lee can't hit those high notes any more. The band tried to disguise this by changing up the songs -ie. playing the song in a Reggae style and other tricks.

  • The Time Machine Tour is a great Rush !

by rOCKjOCK on 2011-04-20The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 5 out of 5

What a great show .... 3rd time we have seen the Trio from Canada and this was the very best time ..... they keep getting better ! Just amazing the sound these 3 men make together may be the best trio of modern rock time ! Rush sure gave us more than our monies worth as they played for over 2 1/2 hours ........... Lots of passion here . Looking forward to when their new CD comes out ...Clockwork Angles ..... they payed a few songs from this ...... may be the best music we have ever heard ! Thanks Rush ... Jeff from Canada but just a wave across the Detroit rock n roll river !

  • Rush still delivers

by Newrldmn on 2011-04-20The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 5 out of 5

The great Canadian power trio put on a very generous set of close to three hours, with a brief intermission. Bassist and vocalist Geddy Lee joked with the audience about it being an age thing. He is starting to have some difficulty with his higher vocal range, but this in no way diminished the group's power or intensity. Breezing through their repertoire of tricky time changes, Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson and drummer Neil Peart were at the top of their form. Peart may be the finest drummer in the world today. The videos that accompanied the show were a bit bizarre, but this audience loved them. The Palace audience was on its feet for the entire show.

  • Outstanding Rush show

by Orville on 2011-04-19The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 5 out of 5

Three masters of their craft in top form, sooo much sound from three artists. Cannot believe Rush is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after 40+ years of rocking like this. Straight up, full tilt, Rock and Roll....does not get any better than this.
