About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

  • Closer to the Heart was awesome!

    by CassandraS12 on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Overall, such an amazing show. Stage setup, lighting, etc all done fantastically. Great set list...loved it as much as I did two years ago. The music far surpassed many of my expectations. They actually played Closer to the Heart which I will never forget. Limelight, Tom Sawyer, and YYZ were incredible! Don't know why they didn't play Fly by Night though. I will definately come back again when they do another tour after their album comes out!!!!!!!

  • Rush was timeless as always

by virgobeotch on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

We arrived early and spent some time wandering around Ontario Place. As we were wandering around the lake side of the Ampitheatre, we could hear the guys doing their sound check and we wandered up onto the hill to see what we could see. Couldn't see much from up there but they graced us with a couple of songs and the 50 or so people stood on the hill and listened. It wasn't going to be too much longer and you could feel the excitement rising as the 6:30 gate time approached. For the second time in my life I walked into the Ampitheatre to see Rush and I was in awe. So many fans...most wearing Rush shirts from concerts long past and all as equally as excited to see them live as I was. When they walked onto the stage the entire place rose to their feet. They played amazingly as usual and rocked the place for several hours taking but one break. As i looked around it was clear that Toronto LOVES Rush...even the lawn was packed. I have seen bands get standing ovations before, but Rush got one that lasted the entire show. Excellent concert Gentlemen!

  • Rush was high energy , entertaining and exciting !

by zeplin on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The Rush show was full of surprises. It was entertaining in many different fields. The sounds were incredible as always, but the videos were comical and the light show and the effects were incredible. I left satisfied with the song selections and happily surprised at the comedy displayed. The stage show was new and exciting.

  • RUSH was excellent

by zeramuas on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

First time seeing RUSH. I was very impressed by their ability to put on a good show. The productions was awesome. Audio and Visuel effects were outstanding. Excellent sound! Very much enjoyed the set list. Played some great tunes!

  • Time Machine Tour Amazing as the rest of them!

by Guzzman on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

What a show. Not only do these guys know how to rock it out, but they have some entertaining videos before each set that are so witty and make you feel good inside. I stood on my feet all night and enjoyed every song. All of the originals sounded better than ever and I can't wait until the new album comes out. BU2B, Tom Sawyer, Limelight, La Villa Strangiato, Working Man... the intensity and power of those songs is incredible. 10 year old kids to 60 year old people were just rocking it out and no matter how many times I see Rush, every experience will be different and it has only gotten better and better. Long live the holy trinity. Thank You Geddy, Alex and Neil.

  • Rush are still the most awesome band EVER!

by RkNRoll on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Despite an uneven setlist, Geddy, Alex and Neil still deilver the goods. This was my fourth Rush show (not counting the big to-do at Downsview Park) and may rank as my fourth favourite. But even a medicore Rush concert is miles ahead of most any other concerts.

  • Rush was amazing!!

by lobrien on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

What a fabulous show. The band was so awesome....the old guys can still rock! Drum solo by Neil Peart was unbelievable, that guy's drum kit is epic. Geddy can still hit the notes and they sounded fantastic. The venue was great and mother nature cooperated with great weather. It was so awesome to see such a wide spectrum of people enjoying the music....young and old alike were rocking out to the old classics...YYZ, Tom Sawyer, Limelight, Closer to the Heart....I can't remember when I enjoyed a rock concert more. Go see them, they are worth the ticket price.

  • Awesome

by Yinda on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

What can I say, it's RUSH!!!! Of course it was good, sound was awesome, band was awesome. They are still rockin just like it was just yesterday when they started. I will continue to go and watch them as long as they come to their wonderful home town of T.O. Love ya Rush keep it up.

  • Rush Time Machine was a fantastic journey !!!

by Claudester on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

From beginning to end, this was a truly fantastic journey. The sound was incredibly good and the show was dramatically captivating. The "boys" were fully "into it" too. Probably, the best Rush concert we have ever seen !!!

  • Rush still has it

    by jb9311 on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I have listened to Rush for many years and although they have never been my favorite group seeing them in concert makes me change my mind. They were amazing

  • awsome

    by bj705 on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

No opening band is a real bonus and three hours straight of rush was amazing. Geddi lee hasnt lost his touch and the boys can still rock the only negative for me was the lack of volume we we on the lawn and when the croud got to loud we couldnt hear the music

  • Rush was tight!

by Chardie on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I haven't seen them play since the 80's but I took my 16 year old son to see them and Rush bridges generations. They are masters of timing and skill. Their technical ability to play life is extraordinary. They have added an incredible stage show to the performance which includes pyrotechnics, video display and great lighting. Although I would prefer to see them in an intimate venue this whole package deal was memorable. There was a great choice of songs played which included remixes of favorites. My son and his friends enjoyed it as much as I did. For a band that once played high school dances to play for around 3 hours and have the audience still chanting for more really tell you how absolutely incredible this show was. Bravo Rush Bravo!!!!

  • Rush: A Treat for the Ears and....the Eyes....

by FuzEgus on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Rush never disappoints live. As veterans of the stage Rush are true professionals and take their craft very seriously. What's refreshing to see is them not taking everything so seriously. They poke fun at themselves and each other through well produced rear screen scenes. Comedic whip and hilarious dialogue fit in seamlessly with a monster sound from monster players. The set was one of the most enjoyable in years. A perfect blend of classics and recent material. Speaking of the new material, BU2B and Caravan are hard driving tracks that blossomed live and held their own amongst a repertoire that has become staples at rock radio. My only complaint, and this is something I have noted before, the sound at Molson Amphitheatre is sub-standard. I have seen a dozen shows and many different acts at the venue and there is often terrible distortion that drowns out the music at times. I've been to other outdoor venues where the sound was much better. However, it didn't detract from a special evening. Who knows how long Rush can keep doing what they do. Their set is a workout. There are not many bands half their age that can pull off such a challenging set not to mention a marathon 3 hour show. It is a true pleasure to watch such a legendary act.
