About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

  • INCREDIBLE ENERGY

    by P8AIR8O on 2010-07-15Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I DON'T KNOW WHERE THESE 3 GUYS GOT THE ENERGY TO PLAY FOR 3 HOURS WITHOUT LETTING UP AT ALL. THE HOME TOWN CROUD MUST HAVE HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT. THEY CERTAINLY GAVE IT THEIR ALL AND LEFT IT ALL ON STAGE, AND I COULD'NT TELL THEM ENOUGH HOW GREAT THEY MADE ME FEEL.. I'M 51 YEARS OLD AND THEY MADE ME FEEL LIKE A TEEN AGER BACK IN HIGH SCHOOL. THANKS RUSH FOR THE WICKED NIGHT.

  • what a RUSH!

  • by Anonymous on 2010-07-15Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Wow. Obviously the musical fortitude of Rush has been well documented, so I won't go there, but as for the rest of the show... Sound quality was 4.5/5...weather was awesome, so being outdoors at the Amphitheatre was a blast...the light show after dark was incredible...the rear stage screen was amazing, so clear it's almost more realistic than the band itself...Rush started promptly at 8 (30mins post doors) and played until about 9:15, when they took a 20min break, then they played until 11:05...I was so tired from standing and rocking, I couldn't believe they continued their excellence so long! Overall, amazing experience.

  • RUSH was the BEST Concert I've ever seen!

    by Jessie1983 on 2010-07-15Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I only started listening to Rush when I started dating my boyfriend, but since he's a big Rush fan, I bought him tickets for his birthday. I walked in knowing of only 3 Rush songs, and even though I just watched the concert 2 days ago, I've already purchased most of their albums. The concert was UNBELIEVABLE and I will go every time Rush decides to put on a concert for their home town! And, don't worry, I noticed that I was one of the few females there, and it was still the best time I've ever had!

  • Great Show

This was my fourth time seeing Rush, and they amaze me more with each show. Hoping to make a 5th concert to they're show if they tour the new album.

  • bad nickname from previous experience

by dissapointedagain on 2010-07-15Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

What an amazing fun time at the molson amphitheateer. opening with spirit of radio and time stand still led into some newer material, from the past couple decades. Presto was an oldie but would;ve prefered show don;t tell or superconducter, stick it out, and leave that thing alone. working them angels and faithful or faithless i wasn't familar with. BU2B got me listenign again cause it's new. The crowd was losing it's attention untill they broke into free will, everyone was back up on their feet. followed up with marathon and subdivisions. All that was worth 40 of my 150 dollar ticket to sit 3/4 the way back. The second set opened with tom sawyer, leading us all the way through moving pictures album. followed by the new single caravan, closer to the heart, and 2112. Ending the main night with far cry was unexpected. Cut it off with another classic would be ideal. The big treat was the encore with a suberb take on la villa strangiato, and working man. All in all the last half of the night was a rush i wish to see, anything and everything from signals back.

  • Great Show

  • Rush Show was very Good

by WiltonSaid on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Saw the show last night and thought it was very good. The only "very good" rating is a purely personal one as I had sent Rush an email stating that there were a few songs in their catalogue that I didn't really like, and asked them not to play them. I think they misread the email and thought they were the songs I DID like and put them all in the first set. I did however enjoy Workin Them Angels, the instrumental Leave that Thing Alone, Freewill and Subdivisions. The 2nd set was much better as I liked most of the songs. Yes they played all of Moving Pictures (or is that moving Pitchers) but I've seen most of those songs played on previous tours so it wasn't that spectacular to me. However, I reaallly enjoyed Camera Eye which hasn't been played in over 20 years. I also loved Witch Hunt which has got to be one of Rush's darkest songs. The new songs Caravan rocked. 2112 Overture/Temple of Syrinx is always a blast. Those longing for the days of hearing Closer to the Heart which had been dropped the last few tours, were not disappointed as Rush still played this song as if it was fresh and new. They even rearranged the last verse by playing it in 6/8 time as opposed to the regular 4/4 time. The show closer of Working Man had the first two verses being played in a white mans reggae style before rocking out to the instrumental section in regular 4/4 time. The video's that preceded each set, and closed the show was really funny and dealt with the early years of Rush. Gotta love those bar waitresses. The lighting and stage set was probably the best I've ever seen by Rush. Ya gotta have the flashing, blinking lights and video show if you're a band like Rush as the three of them don't do much physical action on stage. If you're not sure what I mean, compare the physical stage energy of Iron Maiden to Rush. Over all for me, it was a very good show which was hampered by the lack of my personal favorite songs, but I'm sure others thought the show was great. Highly recommended to the die hard fan and to those casual fans who only know the radio songs. Set 1: Video Intro (Rash: The Real History of Rush Act 1) The Spirit of Radio Time Stand Still Presto Stick It Out Workin' Them Angels Leave That Thing Alone Faithless BU2B Freewill Marathon Subdivisions Intermission Set 2: Video Intro (Rash: The Real History of Rush Act 2) Tom Sawyer Red Barchetta YYZ Limelight The Camera Eye Witch Hunt Vital Signs Caravan Drum Solo (Love 4 Sale) Closer to the Heart (with Alex acoustic intro) 2112 Overture/Temples of Syrinx Far Cry Encore: La Villa Strangiato Working Man Video Outro (I Still Love You Man)

fantastic! They put on a great show - great sound. They really mean "an evening with Rush" - they played for over 3 hours!

  • RUSHIFIED!

    by Manny23 on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was absolutely amazing! Rush has so many passionate fans! The set list was a fantastic mix of old and new and Geddy can still hit the high notes like it's 1975. The lights were mesmorizing and only complemented the music. The entire crowd was on their feet cheering and singing along and Neil's drum solo blew me away, as usual. Highly recommend going to see them if you are a Rush fan. An unforgettable night.

  • by RushFan on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

After 36 years, the guys in RUSH can still rock!!!!!!! From the opening note, to the last good bye when the show was over, the show was simply amazing. This was the 12th time I have seen them in concert, and I want to see them at least another 12 times.

  • Band was great, facility average

by Diggr on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Band was awesome however entering the molson amphitheatre not so much. Exremely long lines to enter the lawns almost caused us to miss the start of the show.

  • A "Moving" experience

by Nyde on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The Rush “Time Machine” concert was absolutely AMAZING. The band performed pre recorded film skits, on a huge “Time Machine” themed jumbo screen, that were completely hilarious! The visuals were among the best, if not the best I have ever seen. The band’s performance was true to the tour name. They were so “on-the-money” and their sound was so perfectly like the album, including the vocals, that it had me thinking I was watching Rush back in 1981. Rush basically played 2 concerts with intermission between them, the later being the entire “Moving Pictures” and then a few hits throughout time. The venue was packed and the crowd roared from start to finish. The sound was also great, not too loud and very well mixed.

  • Brilliant!

by AprilT on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

That was the greatest concert I have ever been too!! Rush are amazing and thats even an understatment!! The only sad thing about it was they did not perform The Trees. one of my favorites! But I would say that you have not experienced a real performance until you have seen Rush!

  • WOW...JUST WOW!!!!

  • RUSH - AWESOME

by Reeso on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

In a nutshell, I have been seeing RUSH live since there 1984 tour. These guys are outstanding musicians! They get better with age - just like a fine wine. Their live show puts most headlining acts to shame. Relentless power and passion for music. They played "Moving Pictures" in its entirety. This is my favourite RUSH album. Keep up the good work and I look forward to their new studio album coming soon.

  • Amazing Rush Concert!!!

by CoJo on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Definitely not surprised by Rush's incredible performance. For the four decades they have been rockin', they still have it! Great show, great venue and great time!!!!!

  • Amazing musicians

    by pad9 on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my 16th Rush show and I am still amazed by the musicianship of the guys. They were really into it (Geddy pogoing all over) and so was the crowd! Just a great vibe. If they could only rig those speakers a bit higher so the back screen isn't blocked. Sure hope there is a DVD.

  • RUSH WAS AMAZING

by bfrancza on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

First of all I'd just like to thank Geddy, Alex and Neil for a breathtaking show! Not only was their performance amazing but the show had great comic relief with the hilarious videos before, after and in between sets. Second, the setlist, fantastic! We all knew that they're were covering Moving Pictures front to back but, as the title of the tour says, it was truly a trip through time and I loved every moment of it! These guys are masters of their craft and I can honestly say I'm sad its over. I can't wait for their return home! Thanks again guys and "see you sometime down the road."

  • AWESOME...RUSH SHOWS NO SIGNS OF SLOWING DOWN!

by Newp on 2010-07-14Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

As the guys in Rush are getting older, they are certainly showing no signs of slowing down. This was the second time I've seen them live, and in the last 17yrs, you wouldn't know it was that far apart. The video's were funny, light show was great. Geddy and Alex seemed to be having a great time up on stage. Neil....aside from one smile he cracked at the end of Tom Sawyer, you wouldn't know it, but he seemed to be enjoying himself on stage too. Hope it won't be another 17yrs before I get to see them on stage again!
