Sam Smith has been captivating audiences with their unique high tenor since first appearing as the ebullient vocalist on Disclosure’s 2012 breakout single “Latch.” At only 22, the London-born singer instantly became one of the UK’s greatest pop exports after releasing their first album, In the Lonely Hour (2014), which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart and went on to achieve platinum certification five times over in the U.S. The album also earned Smith four Grammys, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year (for the Darkchild remix of “Stay with Me”), as well as Best New Artist. Smith then co-wrote and performed the opening theme “Writing’s on the Wall” for the 2015 James Bond film Spectre, which earned them an Academy Award. Smith’s 2017 sophomore album The Thrill of It All cemented their place at pop music’s forefront, opening atop the Billboard 200, while 2020’s Love Goes boasted collaborations with genre-leading contemporaries like Calvin Harris, Normani, Burna Boy and Demi Lovato. In 2023, Smith released their fourth full-length, Gloria, featuring the Grammy-winning Kim Petras duet, “Unholy,” which became the singer’s first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 — and the first song by an openly non-binary artist and transgender artist, respectively, to reach the chart’s top spot.

    This is the second time seeing Sam Smith. He's a class act all the way and one artist who has found his comfort zone on stage. You could tell he was enjoying himself and that he had a great appreciation of his audience and his band members. The background singers were given opportunities to shine and shine they did! The stage setting was unique and used in the most effective manners. Happy that he included his latest song "Promises" and yes we made it the big gay club in Vancouver! Outstanding concert from start to finish. Awesome night all around. Thank you, Mr. Sam Smith, you are a class act!

    Sam's concert in Vancouver was one of the best I've ever seen. The production was awesome and very unique! I don't know who designed his set but they should get a bonus! I will make sure I see him whenever he comes back to town!

    I didn't want the concert to end! I thought it was incredible when he let his back-up singers take the stage and sing a song themselves. He is so humble, and you can tell how appreciative he is to be where he is now.
