Sam Smith has been captivating audiences with their unique high tenor since first appearing as the ebullient vocalist on Disclosure’s 2012 breakout single “Latch.” At only 22, the London-born singer instantly became one of the UK’s greatest pop exports after releasing their first album, In the Lonely Hour (2014), which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart and went on to achieve platinum certification five times over in the U.S. The album also earned Smith four Grammys, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year (for the Darkchild remix of “Stay with Me”), as well as Best New Artist. Smith then co-wrote and performed the opening theme “Writing’s on the Wall” for the 2015 James Bond film Spectre, which earned them an Academy Award. Smith’s 2017 sophomore album The Thrill of It All cemented their place at pop music’s forefront, opening atop the Billboard 200, while 2020’s Love Goes boasted collaborations with genre-leading contemporaries like Calvin Harris, Normani, Burna Boy and Demi Lovato. In 2023, Smith released their fourth full-length, Gloria, featuring the Grammy-winning Kim Petras duet, “Unholy,” which became the singer’s first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 — and the first song by an openly non-binary artist and transgender artist, respectively, to reach the chart’s top spot.

I will go and see Sam Smith Anywhere, Anytime, Anyplace! He definitely did not disappoint.
Seats not too bad, up 13 rows but on a side to stage. Opening act was a girl called Kim/Cim who most people never heard of before. She had a nice voice but did not know any of her songs. Sam came out about 9:20pm, Concert time was 8pm.....Hmmmmm. He sang for about an hour with only 1 song we knew. Some women use to stand up in front of us & jump & clap etc,,,,,where were the Ushers !!!!! He sang a lot of his 1st time songs, whatever they were. We left after an hour of that. Next time we will be careful of our Singer preference.
I missed Sam Smith the first time he came to Toronto and I wasn't going to miss him this time! Toronto was the first stop on Sam's North American Tour and what an amazing night! Sam's incredible vocals, his candor with the audience, and his extremely talented band really made the whole night truly ...well... THRILLING! I loved how he spoke to the audience and you could tell how pleased he was with the reception he received. The audience was always singing along, and he was truly blown away by the level of engagement. WE LOVE YOU SAM!
Sam Smith's show on June 18th at the ACC was amazing and I'll definitely go to see him again!! His voice is so clear and his interactions with his band and the audience was wonderful :) Sadly though, people in my section were drunk and boisterous and smoking weed which ruined my enjoyment of the evening overall :( MLSE has to do a better job of preventing crap like that from happening!!
a night i will never forget. he was a joy to listen to and just a genuine human being. his back up vocalist and musicians were also on point!
Sam is an amazing singer that puts on a fantastic show.
My seat were 104 in the back row and it was still a great view. Sam Smith is a wonderful performer. Opening act was Cam and she is super cute, I'm not a country music fan but her music was a great mood-setter
Sam Smith is so talented, crowd was just loving him. Stage set was really well done, made the large arena still seem intimate. Opening act, Cam, didn’t seem to be the right music style for Sam Smith. A R&B artist might have been better.
We all can appreciate that Sam Smiths vocal range is both uniquely tranquil and soothingly precise, but hearing his live performance will leave you with chills, by far one of the best live performances I've seen lately. His back up vocalists are top notch and pair perfectly in harmony. The stage was extended into the floor section for closer views and Sam waved and seemed to personally acknowledge everyone.
Sam did a wonderful job! I have been waiting to see him in concert since he was here the first time a few years ago. This concert was long overdue for me and very worth it!
This was the best concert of my life!!! Sam Smith was amazing!!!
Absolutely incredible concert. The energy from Sam and his band plus the entire crowd was unbelievable! Loved every moment of the night.
Sam Smith was amazing. He sounds as good as he sound on his album. He sings mostly from the new album but doesn’t forgot old fan favourites. His band was great. He works the stage like a diva.
I have never been more blown away by a concert. Sam has such a welcoming presence and his voice is even more amazing in person. The overall atmosphere was amazing and I cannot wait until he comes back for his next tour here.
he is absolutely incredible live, every song was magic. He didn't need to do much; he could have just stood on stage for an hour and I would have cheered every second of the hour. I had so much fun. I lived, I died, I came back to life.
Did not think I could love this performer more, but he is so incredible live - i would say even better than recorded. So much emotion and passion in his voice, and the theatrics were not over the top, worked so well with show. LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT. Come back soon !!
Absolute perfection, his voice sounds just as amazing in person. He is so humble and gave us an incredible evening of music.
His voice is angelic and everything went so smoothly and quickly.
The cinematography and stage set they used was exceptional. His band and back up singers were incredible. The one small thing though is one the big screens kept swinging and was pretty unstable.
Incredible performance although the vip merchandise was definitely not worth what we paid for it
