Santana Tickets

The concert was excellent as Santana always has been in concerts. Steve Winwood was also great so it was an added bonus to hear both of them in at the same concert. They both performed a lot of their greatest hits and sounded just as good as when they first performed it! The sound system at the Molson Amphitheatre was up to high standards, unlike some of the other venues.

Steve Winwood was phenomenal. His voice is strong and I wished he had played longer. Carlos was amazing too although there seemed to be some technical problems with one of his guitars. Too much reverb.

The event had some really good performers but needed some structure- like an MC to introduce the performers, or even for them to do so. Winwood just started up without a word. Ditto for Carlos. The music was terrific but was often so loud that it was just a blurr. The performers were so good that the event would have been spectacular had it been at a lower decibel level.

It was a night of fast-paced, intense, Latin rhythms, quality musicianship and the magic of Carlos Santana's guitar. As one of the gifted axe slingers on the circuit for the past forty years, he did not disappoint the crowd with a display of his effortless and superb skills. From the opening notes of Jingo to the last song, the super guitarist thrilled the audience with some of his best known songs and other material that worked. His hard working, multi-dimensional band provided more than adequate support.

Great evening at Pine Knob / DTE / Detroit outdoor. Chrystal clear sound and visual. 11 piece band sounding in top form with Carlos Santana ..... still amazing .. Even played some all time classic tunes by ohers like SUNSHINE OF YOUR LOVE ...cream song was excellent .......... mixed in Jimi Hendrix's 3rd stone from the sun on one other tune ( that was very spiritual ) . Real happy my kids got a chance to See Santana Live .................... they loved it. Steve Winwood & band were very tight sounding great ......great mix of tuenes including some blind faith & low spark & much more .... would have nice if they could have played longer. A great value for the entertainment dollar these 2 bands ...................... just a special treat ! Keep rocking ............... peace Jeff from Canada

Carlos Santana is first a humanitarian and secondly a guitarist.. His music is truly amazing and his very soul is conveyed through his guitar playing. The musicians who make up his band are at the highest level of professionalism. It is no accident that his fans come from all age groups and all backgrounds. This concert was composed of cuts from his latest CD and his greatest hits. It was exactly what people were expecting and wanted. Carlos and his band put on more than a simple music concert but a total transformational experience. Everyone got up and danced. How you can beat that. So, with no qualms, I would say that if you ever get to see Carlos Santana don't hesitate for a second, just go. These guys work for their money, their passion and their musical lives. They don't disappoint but wow!!!!!
