A week ago, my parents came to Canada to visit me for the first time. I brought them to see Shen Yun in Hamilton. They said it's the best show they've ever seen in their life. They were big fans of dancing performance in China and have seen many, many shows, but none of them can be compared with Shen Yun. It's the first time for them to experience how amazing their own culture is.
Amazing!Stunning! All my family are fans of Shen Yun. We like classical performance, especially folk dances, beautiful musics and the high class technique in the dances. We look forward to Shen Yun Show every year.
This was an unbelievable show! It was just so beautiful!!! Awe!!!! We had such a good time! This was a very graceful, colorful show. The costumes, the performances and the orchestra were outstanding! The choreography and dancing were so great! The singers were tremendous! This was something not from this world. It was something given from the divine! This show was not only so much enjoyable, but also very inspiring and educational. This show made me feel just like having a tour in heaven! It worth every penny I spent! I absolutely will recommend this show to everybody!
I have watched the show at the Canon. Look forward to the show coming to the Sony. Highly recommended to anyone and everyone.
Watching Shen Yun is becoming a tradition in my family. The dancing is so grateful. I especially enjoyed the musical performances by the tenors and the soprano. Thanks to Shen Yun for bring the inspirational message to my family for the New Year. We feel hopeful and renewed.
Booked the tickets months ago and it didn't disappoint me. Wonderful colours, dances and music and great energy. But the show is much more than that. It tells the stories of China and inspires hope. I was blown away by the performances. Have recommended to friends and would see it again.
I very much liked the show. The dance embedded a particular taste of classical China. While watching it, I felt as if I had time traveled to ancient China—its society and culture. The show was truly beautiful.
My husband & I have seen Shen Yun for the fourth time. We both agree each year, after each show, that every performance was amazing. The stories from ancient to present are incredibly touching & soul stirring, the music & singing are inspirational. Shen Yun Performing Arts continue to hold the most elegant, most beautiful and most awesome performance to it's perfection. We have taken family and friends who also were amazed. In this negative world it is wonderful to have a heavenly experience to bring a message of hope. I wish everyone could experience this uplifting performance. We look forward to the next performance!!
I watched Shen Yun performance at Hamilton Place this Wednesday. It was wonderful! The live orchestra was great, the dancers were so graceful, a very cheerful show...a must see...highly recommend to everyone.

I came from Mainland China. Shen Yun is the best show that I have ever seen which I could not see it in mainland China. I was so touched that I cannot stop tearing while I was watching the show.
Great Show. I would like to see this show in China one day. Too bad not many understand this.
I would have preferred to see more Chineese instruments being play (no soprano, no alto etc) and more traditional dance. I was very disappointed and felt it was way too expensive for what I got (the NAC Pops is a MUCH better deal).
The performers and orchestra were outstanding, however each act was interrupted by narration explaining the acts (in 3 languages). This was very distracting. Also, the backdrop was of 1990 vintage graphics. All in all it was a nice evening at the NAC, however it was not good value given the high cost of tickets. I would recommend seeing the show, but would not pay to see it again.
The artistic performance was incredible with great choreography and dancing, tremendous singing and instrumentals. The political messaging overwhelemed the show especially in the 2nd half. If you are going to have a political performance with great artistic moments, it should be marketed that way.
The costumes, choreography and accompanying scenery were wonderful; the music was very good; the between scenes narratives were annoying; the political messages unnecessary. I'm not entirely certain what I expected but the show didn't really excite and entertain me as I anticipated it would. I love things chinese and the performing artists were very very good but the show seemed to lack something for me. I say all this based upon the cost of the tickets ($157.00 each) and in the end I don't believe that it was fair value for money paid. Would I go again next year? No.
Very dissapointing overall. We have not long come back from China, and was expecting more. The dancing and acrobatics were very good, the two people announcing each preformance was not necessary. We felt the $400. spent was not worth it. Sorrry.

I have seen this show for multiple times. This show is stunning. No show in the world can compare to this one. The choreography, music, costumes and backdrops are all so beautiful that I was absolutely enjoying it. Also, this show is full of inspiring, hope, energy that making you want to strive to be good. Not matter how many times I have seen I still want to see more times. It is wordless to describe how great this show is. Highly recommended this show to everyone; if you see this performing arts show, you will not regret.
I saw the show this year too. I was very moved, with tears in my eyes through the show. The backdrop works perfect, it's amazing. You see figures come to the stage, back to the backdrop, and come to the stage again. You see the sea water is moving, not static. You see flood submerge skyscrapers. It's terrific, how they did that! The colour and the costumes were fantastic. It’s like, I don’t know how to say it, it’s like more than words. It’s amazing. They really bring out lots of good details and you can just see it, especially since I was close, I can really see a lot of the details in the costumes. The dancing is superb. You can’t compare with other shows you’ve watched.You can’t compare. Even ballet. Even though they have the ballet body for doing the splits, the PAs and things, their bodies are so…I guess they start from birth. They start because the movements they do they cannot do at 21. You can’t go 21 and do that. Yes, the music is just beautiful. Especially the orchestra, it is phenomenal! I mean it is very high skill.The tenor is just out of this world. Oh god the tenor is beautiful. I would recommend this, it's very very beautiful.
