I have been to the Shrine Circus at Rexall Place and found the smaller venue more enjoyable. I am not an animal rights activist, but I was left wondering why they used animals at all. The children enjoyed riding the camels before, at intermission and after the event, but they really didn't add anything to the performances. At one point, the camels went round and round the middle ring with a zebra, but didn't really do anything spectacular. The same goes for the black leopard and the Makak monkeys. Very few times were all 3 rings used at once, so it would have been better with just 2. The motorcycle on the high tension wire for the grand finale was a real let down, as there's no way it could have fallen off of the wire (since it was attached). I really enjoyed the "Quick Change" act where the lady was able to change her outfit in the blink of an eye. I also enjoyed the "Cirque du Soleil" type performance of the female acrobat performing with the ribbon attached to the ceiling. She also was very good showing off her flexibility when she was in the center ring.
