    What a Production!

by asquared2 on 2011-12-13Foxwoods Theatre - New York

This production was fantastic. Loved the costumes. Loved the music. You could hear Edge's guitar and Bono's lyrics. A lot of elements changed that were incorrect in terms of the comics, but over all the musical was fantastic.

Great show, it was everything I expected and more. Lots of comedy and interplay with the audience and the stunts are spectacular.

The beginning was slow but the rest of the show was great. Our seats weren't the greatest. I would have preferred to sit in the lower tier because a lot of the air action couldn't be seen by those in the balcony.

The musical did not meet our expecatations. The script is childish and the visual effects were below avergae.

    Tug On The Web Strings

by bayoubunny66 on 2011-11-24Foxwoods Theatre - New York

An excellent night out. Superb staging, dazzling effects and plenty of Spiderman acrobatics. People in the front are well advised to keep their heads down. The U2 songs are delivered with incredible strength. The actors interact with great, believable emotion.

    Spiderman tickled my spider senses

by RainbowUnicorn on 2011-11-23Foxwoods Theatre - New York

After hearing all the negative reviews about Spiderman, we were a little worried about going. We were not disappointed in any way. We were happy to be sitting in the flying circle or on the first level balcony. Spiderman came right in our line of vision for a lot of his flights. We were even webbed by him when he flew off our level to fight crime. I would highly recommend this to any theatre goer. I went in not knowing what to expect and came out smiling. Just remember; it is a comic character and not a classic broadway show and you will enjoy the 'show'.

Great theatrical effects but long and disjointed

by Anonymous on 2011-11-15Foxwoods Theatre - New York

I thought the theatrical effects were magnificent - really couldn't get enough of the all the spidermans flying around the theatre and all the set changes. The show was too long though, too many long scenes that weren't necessary, too much of the love story and a very disjointed story. I was also disappointed in the musical score.

    Spiderman was Awesome

by PMCL on 2011-10-24Foxwoods Theatre - New York

The play was fantastic! Music was great, flying scenes were like nothing else you've ever seen in live theatre. The production may have had some bumps along the road but the end result is nothing short of spectacular.

    Great Visuals

by DLES on 2011-10-04Foxwoods Theatre - New York

This was definitely a great show for kids, but if you're two adults who aren't comic book lovers, you may not be as satisfied. The aerial stunts and the sets were absolutely spectacular. The actors playing Spiderman and the green goblin were both terrific. The plot itself was a simplified version of the first film with a few character additions and removals. The songs were hit and miss, and only a few reallly captured my attention. If you want to see a spectacular stage show, then this production is for you. However if you go to a musical hoping to be singing the final number as you walk out of the theatre, then I would recommend How to Succeed.

Spider-Man was an amazing show! The acrobatics were spectacular to watch and it was so much fun for the audience having Spider-Man come into the crowd as he did. It was just a fun show and we are so happy that we chose that as our Broadway show while in NYC for vacation!!!

Spiderman was different than any show we've seen

by Sether on 2011-09-29Foxwoods Theatre - New York

The first half of the show was a bit slow. However, the second half was amazing. We often go to differnt plays and musicals but this was definately unique. You have to see this show to believe the stunts. I would suggest sitting in the front section. We sat in the fly zone. I'm not sure it was worth the extra money.

    Surprising

by Michele on 2011-08-28Foxwoods Theatre - New York

I was surprised at how good this was. The effects were awesome, the sets were awesome and the green goblin was just amazing. The songs are a mixed bag, if you prefer one song genre over another you might like or dislike some of these songs. My only real problem was that there was to little Spider-man. Overall I thought it was really good. It would be cool to have it come out on DVD and if it did I would totally buy it. It would also be cool to see a sequel with other famous characters like Sandman or Venom.

    Spiderman was A M A Z I N G!!

by TorontoTourist34 on 2011-08-28Foxwoods Theatre - New York

The show was out of this world. We had the best seats in the house...the flying circle! The action was happening right in front of us. Having the actors land right in front of us was a thrill. The music was awesome. The songs and lyrics were very catchy...I bought the CD because I lived them. The main actor, Peter Parker, was adorable, had an angelic voice and very entertaining. After the show we lined up outside and he came out to talk to fans, photos and take autographs. Very classy he guy. T.V. (Arachna) came out too and she was lovely. I really loved the opening of the show,...wish it lasted longer. And the green goblin....what a show stealer! He was great!!! Phenomenol actor, entertaining, funny, strong....he was spectacular. I was nervous about the price as I've never spent that much for a show however I see it is an expensive production. Well done with the cartoony feel as I believe if it didn't have that element, the show wouldn't work. Now how do I get to see this again as I want more!
