Starship Tickets

After all these years, Starship still rips! Particularly interesting are the onstage personas of the band members. Mickey does all the great frontman stuff. The bass player tears around the stage, jumping up and down and contorting his face. The keyboard guy stands immobile like a sphinx, shades on and face obscured by the microphone. The addition of the woman to the band allows them to play oldies like Go Ask Alice. The band’s stellar performance almost compensated for Ticketmaster’s completely screwed up ticketing software.

I was very embarrassed and uncomfortable sitting in a very empty concert hall. There were very few patrons there and I congratulate and thank Starship for their professionalism in putting on a terrific show - as if to a crowded theatre.

Great performance, still strong vocals and band performance after all these years! The only thing I think would have been better is if the ticket price was a bit less, maybe more seats would have been fille. Be had a blast!

what a great show. the sound, lights and venue were amazing as usual and starship put on a top notch show. we love coming to rama for the entertainment.

I was shocked to see how few seats were sold. Starship did a great show. Vocals and band were right on. Haywire was the opening act. I didn't know them, but they did a great job too.

I travel to see Starship and I love the band. They are not the original members but the sound is tight and they back Mickey Thomas well. Stephanie Calvert is suited for this band and does her part replacing Grace Slick extremely well. Her individual vocals boost this band and she received a standing ovation for her songs particularly White Rabbit. All the musicians bring life and excitement to the music! I could write a chapter on Mr. Roth's abilities alone on guitar. I would go again if I had the chance.

The Starship concert was fantastic! They played many of their old hits, and I was surprised that they even did some Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship songs. The female vocalist, Stephanie Calvert was awesome and added a lot of life to the show. The only negative part of the show was that it was not very long. They played for about 1 hour and 15 minutes and then came back for a 15-minute, single song encore. I would have loved to hear songs like Beat Patrol and I Didn't Mean to Stay All Night, but they were not on the set list the night we saw them.
