Great show, amazing performers! Really new ideas and funny as well
The show was OK. They completely flubbed the basketball scene, which I suppose could happen in any performance, but I noticed a few other near misses. I have seen YouTube footage of many previous performances and these were somewhat lackluster: more focus on simultaneous actions than the intricate rhythms that the videos showed. At times it was a wall of noise. Overall, I enjoyed seeing it live, but felt it could have been significantly better.
This was an excellent show. Even though its been around since 1994, the performers made it fresh and exciting. The interplay between them was hilarious as were their interactions with the audience. Even though all the audience did was perform some clapping, in a minor way, I think everyone felt included in the performance. The energy and upbeat tempo that these people performed at was amazing; clearly they have to be in the best shape possible to do this sort of performance. The venue was also very retro and gritty and while the theater was small it was also very intimate. I don't think there was a bad seat in the house; can't speak for what the balcony was like. This was the first event we attended for our first trip to New York and it was such a great start.
The show began by keeping me entertained and it only proceeded to get better. Each time I thought I had seen the best part of the show, the performers wowed me with another amazing musical number. The best part was that the performers had knack for making the audience feel they were a part of the show.
My husband and I were on our Honeymoon, we had an awesome time. He wasn't sure about going, but did since I am a drummer and really wanted to see the show he agreed to go. He may have even enjoyed the show more then me if that was possible. One of the things that I really enjoyed was the fact that there was a big group with a bunch of small children, which for a show can end up being a bad situation. However it was so entertaining and watching these children being mesmerized made it even more special for us.
We were mesmerized from the first brush stroke. Never have I seen so much done with so little - 8 talented, creative, entertaining, fun loving, people turned every day items into rhythmic instruments. I would go again and highly recommend it.
It has been my dream to watch STOMP live since 2009 so it was a DREAM COME TRUE to able to see them in New York! Also thanks to that anniversary deal that got us a great discount on seats! I would pay full price to see this show. I'll even watch it again and again! I highly recommend!
Stomp is one of the best shows and a really fun night out. This is the second time that my family and I have seen Stomp and it was even better this time. The first time was in Ottawa in a slightly larger theatre and I have to say I reall y enjoyed the smaller venue. It is the perfect setting for this type of show and all of the cast were very talented and energetic.
Fantastic performers. Great set. Lots of fun. Very well done!! Not really a bad seat in the house. Only possible downside is the location of the theatre. Not in the true theatre district so not walkable from main areas. Just a short cab ride away though. Well worth it!
My mother and I attended a Saturday night show. It was such a unique, entertaining and fun filled show. We laughed, we cheered and we clapped along to the beat. You will not be disapointed!
OMG this show was amazing. It was in a smaller intimate theatre. There is no talking, but the unbelievably entertaining. They are talented, funny and the best entertainment that I've attended in a longt time. We were staying in Time Square and took the subway there (piece of cake). There were times I was almost on the floor in tears as it was so funny. You GOTTA see this!!!!
Second time with our two boys and brought friends with us this time. Fantastic show! Loved seeing new material, but would've been just as entertained and pleased if we'd seen it all before. Everyone was laughing and we left the show feeling good! Thank you.
It was great for the kids. Went by really fast. It's dynamic, entertaining and high energy. If you have seen blue man group is a show along those lines. There is enough interaction w the audience. I was worried it would be monotonous or tedious after a little bit but it was not. The kids 11 & 13 girl and boy, LOVED all of it.
I'VE NEVER SEEN A LIVE SHOW WITH THIS MUCH ORIGINALITY.IT REMINDED ME GROWING UP WITH MY DAD (DRUMMER) GETTING TOGETHER WITH FRIENDS AND MAKING MUSIC WITH WASHBOARDS,SPOONS,DRUMSTICKS,TUBS DRINKING GLASSES,EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE KITCHEN SINK WHICH STOMP HAD!!I WILL GO AND SEE THIS SHOW REAL SOON AGAIN.AWESOMELY TALENTED GROUP THAT PERFORMED.
wow wow wow .... not only very entertaining with the talent used but hilarious as well..... So much fun.... can't wait for it to come back....would go see it again in a heart beat ....
Absolutely amazing!! This was my third time seeing STOMP and it was just as incredible as the first two times! Totally entertaining!
I had been wanting to see STOMP for years and my wife surprised me with tickets at Christmas. I found it extremely entertaining and well choreographed. Loved the bit of humor thrown in as well. I didn't want it to end.
This was not what I expected. It was More!. They kept the audience engaged with the different "skits". It wasn't just "musical" but had a story line too. This is great right from young to seniors. Would see it again !
Awesome show, great music, lots of laughter, high energy
I saw this show in Vegas 7years ago, couldn't wait to take my parents and Children to this one in Hamilton. Everyone loved it, we sat third row, centre. Absolutely funny and entertaining the entire show!| Would recommend anyone go see this fabulous form of dance, comedy and music
