It isn't Christmas without seeing Stuart Mclean!

by VinylCafeGroupie on 2014-12-17Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

This was my ninth year attending the Vinyl Cafe Christmas concert and it did not disappoint. It has become a family tradition. It started off with just me and my husband. Now, we are up to six of us going. Every year we look forward to this event and as always we had a wonderful time. Great story telling and amazing musicians. I am so happy to be able to see so much Canadian talent in one show.

    Stewart McLean was Enjoyable

by lakerussell on 2014-12-16Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

There were 3 stories. The first 2 were terrific: funny and heartwarming. The last seemed to be rather dark, especially at Christmas. Then ending seemed hurried, unresolved, and too mysterious, not like our "Dave" at all. The music was excellent, and the show perfectly timed. Very professional.

Stuart McLean Vinyl Cafe is my Christmas tradition

by Donnamaria on 2014-12-15Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

I have been attending Vinyl Cafe for more than 10 years, remembering when it was held at Convocation Hall, then Massey Hall and now Sony Centre. This event for me marks the beginning of festivity at Christmas. Stuart is a master story teller, I especially admire that his wit and humour is good clean fun, no profanity, a rarety these days. Every year the performances are sold out and this year, he did 3 dates. Patrons leave the auditorium in such a 'lighter' mood and so many are like me, returning every year. For sure, I will be there next December.

    Lovely evening

by KasiaK on 2014-12-15Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

It was my first time seeing Vinyl Cafe live and I was not disappointed. The concert was very intimate despite packed theatre, full of warm and nostalgic humour. I will be back next year!

The Stuart MacLean Show was absolutely a Joy.

by Ladysingstheblues on 2014-12-15Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

3 Hours of Mr. MacLean telling The Stories of Dave and Morley we all adore including that "fuss butt" Mary Turlington and of course the story of Stephanie working at the "Vinyl Café" at Christmas Time. I went by myself and after a lot of frustration of parking and then the meter eating my cards...I did however make it to my seat just in time. I cannot remember the last time I laughed with enjoyment watching a concert. I can't wait 'til next year as I must go again. One more mention..and that is the musical performances by 3 Pretty Young Ladies (unfortunately I don't remember the name) accompanied by the CBC Trio were terrific. In closing...one last comment..I'm in Love with Stuart MacLean.
