    SYSTEM WAS AMAZING

    by Cobber1648 on 2012-03-12Rexall Place - Edmonton

It was a really great show. Everything in Rexall was energetic and crazy. It was an awesome experience. Especially, for my first concert. I am going to System of A Down again for sure.

    SOAD was SOLID

by StealthATK on 2012-03-02Rexall Place - Edmonton Alberta

Long time fan, I'd been waiting for this show to come for a long time. Knowing they've been on hiatus for a very long time, I knew there could be some kinks to be worked out. There were some slight pacing issues in the early stages of the concert (Serj and Darren not knowing what the other was doing, specifically Darren attempting to be a little too assertive). Once the band had found their niche though they were UNFORGETTABLE. The concert was everything I could have hoped for and more. The setlist was FANTASTIC. Some favorites and some staples were there. I was praying for a single song off their "Steal This Album!" album, but they left it out. Otherwise, a truly memorable experience. I would pay any amount of money to see them again, if they continue to play that well.

    Very disappointing

by KiltedYaksman on 2011-11-01Rogers Arena (GM Place) - Vancouver, BC

I love SOAD, but the sound was terrible. Couldn't hear anything as it was very muffled and murky. I was surprised how bad it was actually. The group played pretty much all their hits with the exception of Spiders. Honestly, the opening act's sound was better. I seriously regret going to the show as it's tarnished my opinion of the band now somewhat, which is a shame because they are so good. I tried using ear plugs at one point to see if that would clear it up a bit, but it made no difference. I wish they either had a better sound crew, or better equipment because as a musician myself I was very disappointed.

I've seen over 100 concerts in the past 5 years and this one ranks near the top! If you are a fan don't miss the chance to see these guys, the music and atmosphere is unbeatable!!

System played a solid set of favorites. There were a few songs I had hoped to hear that weren't performed. Serj Tankian's voice is still a tower.

    System Delivers!!!

    by Metalhead597 on 2011-05-24Rexall Place - Edmonton

System of a Down delivered!!! 28 song list making you feel like they played everything. Way to make a comeback!! Lacking some Steal This Album but rocked hard enough to make up for it! Gogol was outstanding. Too much new album, not enough older stuff but amazing none the less

    Good Reunion Show

by Guest on 2011-05-22Rexall Place - Edmonton

System put on a good reunion/Greatest hits show. U could tell it had been a while since they played together, a little out of sync. Serg didn't seem all that into it. The stage show was the usual for a system show, the usual rugs on the stage with each member simplified. and hanging backdrops of album covers, with the odd video presentation.

Downer? Well Downish, But Not Out!

    by bayoubunny66 on 2011-05-21Rogers Arena - Vancouver

What a racketing soundscape!! What a muddy creep-through-the-swamp-and-jump-out-at-you groany bass-heavy mix! So many thumping tunes about the underbelly of life on a mouldering planet. I was mostly in town for James Blunt but I do like my Rage Metal so I thought I'd take in the thump-fest at Rogers. So much dope smoke! So much fist pumping! So much spitting and snarling and growling by the men in black! All the elements of a great metal show were there. The technology has improved vastly over the years. The Down tried their best. They put on a resonable show. They showed us their best. A good night with the System is far better than a great night spent bowling. Unfortunately they can't hold a candle to Sabbath in the day, or Steppenwolf, or even Limp Bizkit. But they so totally ripped the skin off the memory of James Blunt!

    System was amazing!

by Systemfan on 2011-05-20Rexal Place - Edmonton

Simply put, this was the single best concert I have ever attended. The opening bad Gogol Bordello got everyone pumped up and when SOAD came out it was unreal. They sounded fantastic as a band. They had an impeccable 27 song setlist. I hope that I'm able to see them again. My only slight complaint is that they never encore. But don't let that overshadow the outstanding performance! I highly recommend seeing them live.

I missed out on seeing them at Rexall 5 years ago and it was totally worth the wait! For not playing a live show in a few years they sounded amazing!

    System Rocked

by SamW on 2011-05-18Rexall Place - Edmonton

Wow can Serg ever sing. Holy cow. I was amazed...the studio recordings do him no justice. That being said, I couldn't really hear the rest of them. The sound in Rexall Place was so, incredibly bad that it all sounded like I was listening to a cd really loud, with horrible speakers. Oddly enough, the singing came through quite clearly. It was a good show, regardless. They played all the classics.

    Awesome Show!

by LOVESOAD on 2011-05-18Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - Vancouver

Show was PHENOMENAL! Opening band was.... interesting... No really my style and I'm convinced they were singing in a foreign language but overall, SYSTEMS ROCKED! Too much pot smoking around me but I guess that's almost to be expected in Vancouver.

This show was unbelievable. I've been waiting a long time to see them live and I finally did. Any expectations I had for their show were highly surpassed. I would see this show again in a heartbeat. System of a down rocks!

    Great concert once again

by kerb on 2011-05-17Rexall Place - Edmonton

This is my third time seeing this band and they didn't disappoint. They played alot of songs(some I expected to hear and some I didn't). There was the occasional back-up vocal or small part missed, but a great performance overall. Let's face it, there songs are quite difficult to play and sing. They were tight and good and loud. Hopefully this is not the last tour like some people are already saying.

System of a Down is BACK!

by MZeroOne on 2011-05-17Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - Vancouver

Great concert, great to hear the band back together again! The show opened as always with Prison Song and the crowd was into it from the get go. I was sitting on the far side of Rogers Arena in the lower bowl and as soon as SOAD came on everyone was on their feet around me rocking out so it was really fun to take part in such an enthusiastic response to the concert. They played a wide mix of their classic old material and a couple of excellent tunes from Hypnotize that weren't out the last time they came to Vancouver. Only downside was they were done with no encore by 10:30 so they only played for an hour and a half or maybe 2. The back up band, Gogol Bordello, were also fantastic. I was lucky enough to see them in the Commodore last year and they seemed to put on an even better show to the bigger audience at SOAD. Eugene was a lot more demonstrative in concert. Only drag was they only played for 45 minutes. Finished with Start Wearing Purple, awesome tune.

It was the only concert I've ever been to that I knew every word to every song that was played. It was an incredible event that I had been waiting for since I was about 13 years old and I am 20 now. Just amazing!!!
