Taste of Spring used to be an enjoyable and social event. Now it is loud music and jam packed full of people. You have to fight your way to each booth. There used to be an entire room dedicated to wine and that is no longer. I always enjoyed tasting new and different products but now it just seems to be mostly beer and hard liquor. Probably won't go again. Just not an enjoyable night.
A bit disappointing this year. Seems the prices went up again and the venue was only open until 10pm. You barely had time to take it in before it was over. Most people thought it ended at 11pm so were stuck with nonrefundable drink tickets. They made an announcement at 920pm stating ticket sales were over at 10...at least that's what everyone thought they said. Apparently they said they were over in 10 minutes (could have been clearer by saying 930pm). A suggestion that I have that may improve the venue is to have all the food together, all the beer together, all the wine together, etc because with such a short amount of time, it's hard to get what you want if you are running back and forth and not sure where things are.
What an absolute utter complete waste of time/money!
I have been going to taste of spring for the past couple of years and this year it was way to crowded. It also had less venues and the prices for a booklet went up. The venues were also really close together and wasn't spread out like before.
Pretty sure when I bought the tickets it said closing time was 11 or 11:30 not 10pm! No signs anywhere to say when they would shut down and stop serving alcohol. Nor was it printed on the tickets. Brutal. $45 to get in the door for 3 &1/2 hours. Seems like everything cost more inside this year too. Might just host my own Taste of spring next year. Cheaper and it won't close at 10pm!
In past years Taste of Spring was better because there was more vendors and a whole section dedicated to wine. I used to look forward to this event but because there isn't many things to try I probably won't go next year. It was nice to go to try the different wines that way I didn't have to buy a whole bottle and if I didn't like it, it went to waste
There were fewer vendors this year. It is a very expensive night and it really is overpriced for what you get. I still enjoyed the food and the company but I'm not sure I will go again next year.
This was my fifth year; and by far the most forgettable. Each year it is smaller....by next year there will be one wine to sample only. I (we) still had a good time, due to company we were with. Very disappointed in the amount of wine to sample; and none of any real quality. In the past; if you did not buy your tickets the day they went on sale; you would miss out. I heard there were still tickets the day of the event. I would Not buy early next, and may not attend at all. Food sample were good. "Booster Juice"?????? Missed the "cheese and wine pairings"
