About

Tedeschi Trucks Band is a 12-piece powerhouse ensemble led by the husband/wife duo of guitarist Derek Trucks and singer/guitarist Susan Tedeschi, "two of the best roots rock musicians of their generation" (NPR). With their own potent original songwriting alongside an extensive canon of influences, the dynamic all-star band owns a reputation for world-class musical expression bolstered by each album and every performance.

Since forming in 2010, TTB's caravan has traveled countless miles to bring their music to audiences around the world. From sold-out multi-night residencies across America to barnstorming tours through Europe and Japan to the flagship Wheels of Soul annual summer amphitheater tour, the band's shows are an eagerly anticipated highlight of the live music calendar and "nothing short of exhilarating" (Salon). Whether on stage or in the studio, when these supremely talented artists get together, it's a musical experience of profound quality.

    Monsters of their craft

by Turx on 2016-06-28Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

While the Tedeschi ,Trucks Band may not have the draw of some of the monster arena act's , they are arguably one of the top ten touring bands in North America and one of the few that will play 1500 seat theaters in between playing to 10's of thousands at outdoor venue's ... ..............................................NOT A SHOW TO BE MISSED...

    Tedeschi Trucks - Great Concert

by elain2016 on 2016-06-28Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

The band played some great tunes with lots of energy imcluding best drums I have heard. Unfortunately, the theatre's sound system was not very good and the sound was distorted, even on main floor. Too bad, because I would have liked to have heard the brass section more.

    fine performance

by Dono13 on 2016-06-28Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

We saw the Band in New Orleans in April and were impressed with the performance there. Their performance in Winnipeg, in the smaller and more intimate venue, was as equally impressive and their wide repertoire of music made the concert fresh and exciting. The musicianship of the entire band was displayed and it was great to see it as a wholly collaborative venture by everyone on stage.

Tedeschi Trucks Band The Beacon Theatre

by dale0h on 2014-09-29Beacon Theatre - New York

An iconic venue for a reason, great site lines and very good acoustics. TheTTB put on a great show. The musicianship of each member was showcased and Derek Trucks put on a solo show. Susan T's vocals were powerful along with the backup singers who were brought up for a few numbers. Great night at a great venue watching a premier act

    Awesome Music!

by Kimmish on 2013-11-23Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

The music was awesome...performance a little anemic. It would have been nice to have a little more interaction with the audience, but loved every song.

    They delivered

by WalterM on 2013-11-21Métropolis - Montreal

Brilliant musicians, Susan's powerful wonderful voice, the tight arrangements - it all made for a solid show that brought me back to the old-school days à la Mad Dogs and Englishmen, Quicksilver Messenger Service and, yes, the Allman Brothers, but with the best of current taste, talent and personality. Neither Susan nor Derek have equals today. Both gave to their audience everything we could have wished. It's a shame that the mix in Susan's earpiece wasn't working for her and she was visibly not amused. But despite that, the TTB delivered, and kept on delivering. The joy shown by the musicians was shared by the crowd.

    Obstructed view

by Kkthedj on 2013-11-18Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

TTB and the opener "the Walkertons" put on an amazing performance full of great solos, excellent harmonies and tight musicianship. Too bad I couldn't see 1/3 of the stage.

Tedeschi Trucks band will blow you away!

by fixitguy61 on 2013-11-18Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

First time seeing them. Fantastic live band. Susan's voice is reminiscent of Bonnie Raitt She is also quite an accomplished blues guitarist. What can I say about Derek. One of the best blues guitar players around. Never seen anybody play those kind of licks without using a pick( except Mark Knopfler of course). The rest of the band was individually showcased and proved to be superb musicians.

    too loud and terrible sound

by Fatboy1950 on 2013-11-17Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I love their music, and have pretty well all of their CDs, individually and as the TT Band. I was very disappointed with the concert. selections were good, but the sound was so muddy, and so loud, I almost left! You know it is bad sound when you could not even make out the names of the band members as she was introducing them. I may never go back to the Jubilee for a concert that features amplified rock/blues. You know, it was just like sitting in my car with the volume turned up to max, except in the car, I could hear what we being sung. Sorry!

    Tedeschi Trucks Band was brilliant!!!!!!

by diverbarb on 2013-11-17Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

Listening to Tedeschi Trucks Band via the stereo at home or in the car is soulful and each time I listen to them, our relationship deepens. However, now having the opportunity and honour to listen and participate with them live on stage, I'm blown away. What an incredibly talented group of musicians and singers. I loved the three horn players, the two male singers and the dual drummers - what an awesome 'dual solo' - it was tribal and resonated throughout my body. The organist/flautist, the base guitarist and of course Derek and Susan are top notch, serious and passionate about their craft. Susan's voice conveys sentiments that touch me as a person, a mother and a woman. I am so blessed to have seen this band and would definitely go to see them again - thank you for such a great treat.

    Great band, okay show

by edlee on 2013-11-17Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

TTB had a bit of an off night at the Concert Hall - there were some technical glitches and the sound was very muddy at times. Such a talented band: Trucks supplied the guitar wizardry and Tedeschi provided a little personality along with her strong vocals and guitar work. She actually made some half-hearted attempts to engage the crowd. All in all, they didn't seem very happy to be in Winnipeg this particular night. Still, I'd recommend checking them out - they must be incredible when everything clicks! (IMHO)

    Tedeschi Trucks Band

by Music1McQ on 2013-11-17Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

Music was amazing. The lighting spotlight seemed to ignore the soloists for some reason. I would highly recommend seeing the band though. The quieter songs of Ms. Tedeschi seemed to connect better than the louder tunes for me. The other singers were particularly good when given the chance to sing a song.

    Tedeshi/Trucks One Dimensional

by BYEBYEBLACKBIRD on 2013-11-17Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

Although the effortless blues power of Susan Tedeshi's voice was present fronting the very talented Trucks Band the result was a very one dimensional concert. The entire concert , except for the piano player and bass guitarist`s solos felt more like a rehearsal than a thrilling performance which I had expected. There was no or little connection with the audience. Susan Tedeshi made a few random comments to the audience and kept looking back at the band quite frequently as she sang. Derrik Trucks remained silent the whole night preferring to turn his back to the audience most of the time making it hard to feel engaged with the headlining performers.. The piano player / flautisit and bass guitar player were the hilight for me , with their high energy, huge smiles and amazing talent...the left side of the stage was where my eyes and ears remained most of the night wathcng these two men get totally into the music . I wish I could have said the same about Tedeshi and Trucks...
