    An amazing experience

by MBankandDorey on 2015-10-17Barclays Center - Brooklyn

The orchestra did an absolutely incredible job. The music was so spot on you could lose yourself in the video and had to remind yourself that the music was being played live. We travelled from Canada to see this performance and it was worth the trip. There were too many encores. One was fun but it was over done.

    Magical.

by ry842002 on 2015-07-26Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

From beginning to end, the entire production was nostalgia wrapped in enchantment. The combination of visuals and orchestra was mesmerizing, and the cameo's from Nintendo's founding legends were a welcome surprise. If you've ever considered yourself a fan of Zelda, you will not be disappointed with this experience.

    Captivating and Beautiful

by RachelJill on 2015-06-02Place Des Arts - Montreal

WOW. Went above and beyond any expectations I could have had. So beautiful, so engaging, really moving. The symphony did an amazing job, truly. My boyfriend and I travelled to Montreal to see this. I'm an avid Zelda fan, and he's played a bit, but even he loved it despite not understanding everything in context. It was amazing and we will definitely be going back if it's in Canada again. We both recommend it a thousand times over!

This Symphony wasn't met with a terrible fate!

by Issi on 2015-05-27Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

My parents purchased tickets to this symphony for my fourteenth birthday. I wore my custom made Skyward Sword Zelda t-shirt. Almost everyone was wearing something Zelda, including some in Cosplay. The Hilda Cosplayer looked especially fantastic! I was lucky to sit in the lower orchestra section, row 3, seat 47. I was one of the first inside the door and happily purchased the Skull Kid designed Symphony t-shirt and poster combo set. The music was timed beautifully to the cutscenes/gameplay. The chosen tracks were some of the Zelda series finest. The Majora's Mask songs added to the Zelda Symphony this year, Clock Town, Song of Healing and Deku Palace sounded amazing played by the orchestra. The Twilight Princess Symphonic Movement, was greeted with cheering applause from the whole theatre when Midna and Wolf Link made their appearances! It was one of the main highlights. The Ocarina of Time, Lost Woods and Final Battle music, were stellar too! The final encore, Ballad of the Goddess, was spectacular! I can't wait until the Zelda Symphony comes again. I will definitely be there to see it!!!!!

    Amazing production!

by Zeldaobserver on 2015-05-27Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

I was not an intense Zelda player but been exposed to it through my husband and brother. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as they would but it was truly amazing with the corresponding video sequences with the music. The musicians were spot on and it really echoed the ups and downs of fighting bosses and exploring the various worlds of Zelda. Such a nice touch with the creators speaking about the music and Link's journey.

Legend of Zelda Symphoy - Excellent and intersting

by ProgressiveMan on 2015-05-26Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Excellent performance, wonderful music and interesting how a video game tells a story that is more real with live orchestral music, highly recommended

    Excellent

by KillerKyle on 2015-05-26Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

The whole show was well done and sounded fantastic. The only complaint I have is I would have liked to hear more music from Ocarina of Time since that is the most popular of the series and has the best songs. Other than that it was wonderful.

    Wonderful and Fun!

by RBC525 on 2015-05-26Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

I've never played Zelda but my family has and they absolutely loved it. I loved it too even though I wasn't familiar with the games. Some of the attendees dressing up as characters made it a great relaxed, family atmosphere.

We need more things like this.

by BojoXZ on 2015-05-26Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Let's start by saying, we need more video game symphonies on this planet. We have a Final Fantasy one that has no come to Canada (or not that I know of). We should have one for MGS, Pokemon, Mario, Fire Emblem, etc. Just make almost every video game into a symphony. Now to this one specifically. It was my second year attending and I think they also step it up and made it a lot better than the first year. It was far more organized, more chill and the pre-order system for intermission snacks was very smart. So, just go to the next Zelda event. You wont regret it. Edit about seats: my family and I were exactly on the middle and were very lucky that no one taller was in front of us. Made the experience a lot better thats for sure. However, there were moments where Japanese developers talked and the subtitles were super hard to read because of the altitude.

If you love Legend of Zelda music, you'll love it.

by Cloudzero on 2015-05-26Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

I saw this concert in 2012 and it was amazing. All the music I heard from when I was a kid came rushing back. They played music from the original NES system to the newest Legend of Zelda game. This concert compared to the 2012 concert was very similar, but still amazing nonetheless. I will attend their concert again when they come back.

by JosieP on 2015-05-26Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Great symphony for big gamer fans and great for families. Everyone was really into the music and would clap and cheer. The Symphony and choir did an amazing job and would for sure attend next year if they come back to Calgary.

by wildwoman on 2015-05-26Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

I took my girls as they are avid Zelda fans/gamers. For me, I have watched them grow up playing Zelda. It brought back many memories of some great times. The Orchestra was fantastic. The music gave me goosebumps. A terrific evening and another wonderful memory with my girls! Thank you!

Amazing performance. It was super beautiful. The only thing that was kind of long was the repetitive (3 times) of the conductor leaving and coming back and us having to stand up every time because we thought the show was over. If they've done it after the first surprise that would be have been great.

I loved every single bit of it! The crowd was excited, they picked so many great moments from the series to re-live, and really if I could go to one event every day for the rest of my life, this would be it!!!

Unforgettable! If you are a Zelda/Link fan you must go! This is not your usual symphony; they encourage you to be loud and let them know you love the music. I just love the fact that they hire your towns best performers. I would go back again!! Well played!
