Amazing singing, great costumes! A must see!!!!!!!
This was a really great show, and really kid friendly. I was worried that with all of the chidlren in the theatre the show may have been compromised for me, however they were all so into it that they were great! On the downside all of the ushers were really rude. These are the people who give you your first impression of the theatre, and they really need to work on their people skills!
I am still speechless. The costumes, set and cast were amazing and Awe inspiring. I was moved to tears.
The costumes were superb and the whole experience enchanting. Loved the giraffes and the leopard. Our son was entranced.
I am Japanese, living in Toronto. Most cases I don't catch the speed of english, but the story was well known and I fully enjoyed it. I expected more for kids, but all the movement, description and expression was creative and loods real. Amazing.
The Lion King is something that you don't want to miss if you haven't been to any Broadway shows. However, it's a bit less sophisticated for those regular Broadway show goers. Overall, it's a good experience.
From start to finish, this was unforgettable! The Performances were impeccable, the singing amazing by all parts! I never thought you could add more to The Lion King, but this play does. I would love to see it again!
Outstanding Stage and costumes. Music and story line were tremendous. Great characters that were able to also carry the music.
I didn't know what exactly to expect. I had heard great things from friends and to have those expectations met was a pleasure. This was just an amazing production by an amazing cast. One aside, we went to the Matinee, not sure what the night show is like, bu the day show had a lot of kids which can lead to the odd cry (during Mufasa's death), along with lots of chatter. Theatre goers used to an "adult" crowd may want to go to a night show...just a thought:)
Best show ever! Truly amazing!!! I would see it again in a heart beat!
The show was fabulous, from the costumes to the sets and the actors. It was great and well worth the time and money.
Even though we had heard great things about The Lion King, all 6 of us in my family were amazed by the show and it surpassed even our high expectations.
We had a wonderful time at the Lion King. I highly recommend it for the whole family.
I don't think I moved in my seat for the whole show and sometimes forgot to breathe! I watched the Lion King as a child and it felt like I was just watching it again as a child! It was amazing, the acting, singing, dancing, the costumes, the choreography, the sets, the stage everything all blew me away! I was in total awe throughout the show and got a few tears in my eyes at the end when the audience stood up to clap. Something I believe everyone should experience in their life.
We went to see the Lion King Saturday 5th 2009. It was amazing. The costumes were wonderful. The singers were very good. We liked a lot Mufasah and Scar. It was funny and colorful. We recommand it to everybody. It is a must see.
Costumes and direction were absolutely fantastic! What we liked so much is that they succeed without special effects and lot of production material to make you feel like you're watching the movie.
I was thoroughly entertained throughout the play. It was very interesting how the performers interacted with the audience at the beginning of the play. The play was so colorful and magical with the resonance of the music. I especially enjoyed the performers in the various animal costumes. The creativity with the animal costumes were almost life like for example the giraffes, elepants and the female lion. The act with the laughing hyenas was also very creative and an interesting part of the play. I also enjoyed the sequences that brought some humor and comedy into the acts for example the cyote and parrot which were very well done.
The effects, the singing, the culture, the choreography, the music.....Lion King was unforgettable in so many ways. First time doing Broadway and i was overly impressed. For anyone who enjoys broadway...if you havent seen the Lion King its likely you havent seen the best Broadway has to offer yet.
I have seen a lot of broadway plays and I tend to prefer the classics, so when my friends suggested that we go see the Lion King, I was not super excited. However, this all changed as soon as the curtains opened and the amazing costumes came out on stage along with the beautiful echoing voice of Rafiki. I would definitly recommend this show to my other friends.
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire show. The costumes, sets, music and cast were all amazing!
