We were disappointed in the length of the show for the price of the tickets that we paid! Expected more contestants to have a chance at the prizes. it was nice there was big screens to watch.
Show was very disappointing. More time spent on showing video clips and nonsense then the show. Show was barely an hour. Complaint to the Canalta Centre - will never go back. After waiting an hour in line to register for show my husband, who has a bowel disease, asked to use the washroom and was told No Not allowed!!! That is ridiculous and expect a response and apology from the Canalta! When we came back when doors were open to go to our floor seats the person beside us was extremely obese and half in my seat. It was horrible as can not move seats and have someone touching you as well was foul smelling.
As a fan of the price is right it was very cool too see a live version of it. With games like plinko cliff hanger and more it was a great experience. And fun night out. Only negative was it seemed kind of rushed you didn't get to see people go crazy when they get picked.
It was our first time to the Price is Right Live @ Medicine Hat. We were so excited to experience this show...even arrived a few hours before to register to be a contestant! The host and announcer were funny and enjoyable. However the whole premise of the show was really disappointing! Of the approx. 2150 people who registered to be contestants, only 25 were selected to participate! It was a 1 (ONE!) hour show only! For the amount of people who paid and were hoping for a good show, it really was lacking! Maybe they should extend it to 2 hours, that way more people would have a chance to play! I think prizes that were won and paid out that evening was less than $5000! Also, some of the contestants who actually got picked and got on stage should have been more enthusiastic! Truly, some of those that made it up there were pretty embarrassing (bet the host was thinking afterwards: Where the heck did these people crawl out of, and I hope we never come back to the Hat again!!) One girl even expressed "I feel awful" when asked how she felt to be up on stage! So all in all, it was an experience...would we do it again? No, but only if they extend it longer and offered more chances for people to play!!! Then make it worth the $75 you pay to go!!
This event was definately not worth the ticket price! The whole show lastest for one hour and throughout some of that time they showed video of previous televised shows! Poor prizes and not very entertaining!
What a fun afternoon: ) Game shows are so entertaining; Mark Wahlberg had a great sense of humour as did the announcer.................... The audience was amazing and so positive, much more fun, better organized and less wating in lines at this show than the one at the Jubilee Auditorium a few years back. I will be going to the next show with alot of friends when this show comes back to Edmonton!
Overall an entertaining show. Mark Wahlberg was actually a good host and kinda funny. Not Exactly like what is on Television but fairly close. A very scaled down version with prizes a lot smaller in dollar Value as what the T.V. version is.
This was a total blast. There were all ages (min 18) and everyone was into it. The venue was small and that made it even better. It didn't matter that we didn't get called up because there were lots of extra prizes randomly given away and it was super fun.
Very Entertaining. The Host ( Mark Wahlberg) did a great job. The biggest dissappointment was the Showcase. Great prizes, but i don't think ANYBODY ever wins it due to how they set it up. You have to be within $100.00 of the actual price to win the showcase.
Took my two daughters to this show for a daughter/mother date day. Even though we didn't get called to "Come On Down" we had a Fantastic Time and we hope the show returns because we would go again!!!
Show was fair... The hosts Mark & Andy were entertaining. Was expecting it to be similar to the TV show but it wasn't hence kinda disappointed. There is no transparency on how the contestants were selected. how can one know if the selection was truely 'Random'. cant even see if all the Name cards were put in the same basket for the draw. Overall felt it was pricey, not value for money . Would need to rethink if its worth going again at that price
Many chances to get called up - totally random. Many prizes given out by venue as well! Might buy tickets to all shows next time to increase my odds of getting called up. Every game had new names drawn to try their luck, even the wheel and showcase. show was just under 2 hours, fully licensed - all good!! The only crummy thing was the person who won the showcase (worth over 21,000) showed no emotion or appreciation so that wasn't cool - wish'd I was her....
So much fun and energy!! Great prizes and included lots of chances for people to win! I will definitely go again!!
I was very disappointed with The Price is Right. Sure I knew it wouldn't be as elaborate as on TV, but the prize value and the overall format was lame.
Price is Right Live was a lot of fun. Although it was not an exact replica of the TV Game Show, they made sure as many people as possible got a chance at prizes. We spent the extra $20 to have our picture taken spinning the "Wheel", which we felt was worth it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone for a fun night out.
a good entertaining show. the biggest dissapointment was the Show Case at the end. I bet nobody ever wins the whole show case of prizes on how they set the rules for it.
Was very disappointed in overall show - the commentator spent more time talking than playing actual games and giving away prizes- The calibre of prizes was terrible considering the price of tickets and the amount of people that attented-
Registration lineup was several hours long, prizes were cheap, show did not follow original format and sequence is all out of order, host was not Drew Carey. This was an utter and complete disappointment. Sound was so loud it was ear pearcing and parking was so bad at this venue it took 30 min to get out of the parking lot.
It was an experience but would never pay the money to do it again. Definitely not like the real deal. It was entertaining and funny at times but found it to be too short. All and all it was an experience that I can check off the list.
Not what I expected. The game was not played like on TV. There was a few winners, but prizes where not good. The two ladies chosen to play for the grand prize did not have a change to win it, you had to guess the right amount within 100 hundred dollars. Would not recommended going if you wanted to you could pay 20 dollars and spin the wheel. Talk about a money grab
