a rip...sound was sooo loud n distorted...horrible
There was many Nations there and they picked all cacasian people for the amount of money l paid l thought it was a cheap show. And l just got up with all my family and left the show.
I found the show to be quite entertaining. I did not get called up on stage, but I did get to sit front row, and get a really cool name tag. The prizes were not as flashy as they are on TV, but hey, what do you expect, it's a travelling show! It was also really cool to see Cliffhangers and Plinko right in front of my eyes. Also, it was great that they don't play it traditionally, because the show is trying to give as many opportunities for people in the audience to win prizes!! Overall, it was a great evening!
I echo the other reviews: low budget, cheap prizes, don't go. The host was entertaining and the models were delightful, but that's not what I'm willing to pay $85 for a pair of tickets for.
My biggest issue is at the end of my review.....read on. Well. What a joke this Price is Right road show turned out to be. :-) Well, the first issue I had is how they completely change the rules of the game & have some ***very hard to believe*** retail pricing. That is a real joke. Stay home folks, stay home. Big issue #1: Final 2 showcase contestants picked out from the crowd, therefore not rewarding any of the previous players who usually have to "earn" their way to the end, through pricing skill and some luck to make it to the final showcase. Big issue #2: Tell me how the following can be worth under $16000? I missed the final showcase price given by TPIR roadshow but it was in the $15000's. -Huge binoculars -Big camping backpack -Sunglasses (the guy describing them went on for about 30 seconds about them) -Camping tent -Trip to Alaska (from Vancouver I imagine since the show was at the River Rock Casino, in Vancouver area) -**Jetta** 4 door car Contestant #1: Bids $25,500 Contestant #2: Bids $38,300 ***Retail price given by TPIR on the final showcase in the $15,000's area. YUP! Stay home folks! Save your money to go down to California for the real show. A lot of online reviews give the same overall theme; great if you look at the jokes and entertainment value, terrible if you look at the game structure and how that final showcase is priced.
All we can say is "DON'T GO"!!!!! Low budget - You would think they would give better prizes for the price of the tickets and the amount of people attending these shows.
The is a very low budget show, definitely not worth the money that they are charging for the tickets. Anyone thinking of going...if you must, get the cheapest tickets so you don't feel so bad afterwards.
Residents of Quebec are not eligible to be contestants. This is a rule we were not aware of until, having already bought the tickets and driven to Ottawa, we had been standing in line for 11/2 hrs. [31/2hrs before the show started as recommended] to register as contestants. At that point an employee made the announcement up and down the line. Make sure you read all the rules and regulations before you buys tickets or travel any distance to attend the show. We travelled from Montreal to Ottawa, spent two nights in a hotel, meals, gas etc. only to be allowed in to see the show but not be called down to compete, which was disappointing in the end anyway. We did not feel we missed out on much in terms of the prizes available or the way in which the contestants were very limited to play any of the games. The funniest thing about it was that it was such a poor knock-off of the real show....if you have an ironic sense of humor !!
This had the potential to be a good time but it turned out to be a giant waste of time and money! The prizes were in US dollars, prizes were crappy, and they made it very difficult to win anything. By the time the show was half over I just wanted to leave. I stayed hoping it would get better and continued to watch as the host dragged the show on and on and on only to find out it didn't get any better! The show finsihed and all I could hear were people around me talking about how dissapointed they were. Don't waste your time! If you bought tickets for this sell them!
Had such a great time at the Venue in Edmonton, AB. Time sure does fly when you are having fun and so entertained. Well Done! We had so much fun that we bought tickets to the 2nd show right after the first ended. The prizes are on a lower scale but the fun was unreal. Thanks for coming here. The people at the afternoon venue had lots of great matching outfits as did my party. We dressed up.
A group of my friends bought tickets to attend the show. It was very short and they didn't even do a proper showcase showdown. Only one guy. Maybe gave away $2000 in prizes total- very disappointing for $75 ticket :(
Took my Aunt to see show, had great seats on floor, enjoyed all aspects of show. Lots of crowd participation with lots of colorful shirts and accessories. Laughed and cheered a lot. Recommend to any fan of show. Enjoyed very funny clips from old shows. Good for groups of friends or co-workers. Of course prizes are nowhere near what they are on the TV version but who in their right mind would expect that... Great job done by announcer, show model, and host! Spoke with great respect and gratitude of/to Bob Barker and company,
it was all hyped up to be great!!!!!!!!! everyone was excited!!!!! lines all the way up the street for hours waiting, registered and then more hours of waiting. and did you know you dont even need a ticket for a chance to win!!!! finally the show starts, and the first guy wins only 50 and a stupid flying helicopter. and the prizes didnt get much better than that!!!!!! seriously just tell everyone to not even go cause if it was like the show in victoria bc you will all be very very dissapointed. i think the places that hold the show should also be imbarrassed!!!!!! cheers!!! hopefully this will help you make a wise decision!
Bought 6 tickets and went with 2 other couples, longtime friends. Was worried about 3 hour line up to start, but was pleasantly surprised that took only 10 minutes to sign up to be a contestant and then were able to play at Casino and have a drink before the show. While we were signing up we saw a woman win a brand new BMW convertible on a .40 cent slot machine. While at the show, found out, coud enjoy a cold beverage (glass of wine and beer) with the show. Everyone was in a great upbeat mood. Able to take pictures (pretend you are called up)...had alot of laughs. They had sample games on 2 big screen TVS to help you practice before going on stage..with move clips from former TV shows. Get history given, funny clips. My friend was called as first winner. She won STEVE Nash fitness pass (6 of the them). We watched different people get called down (not just first four got to stay up on stage..those that did not get on stage, got free T shirts)..then another 4 names called. I think this is great as better chance for all to experience "COME ON DOWN". We watched people win $$$ (up to 150.00 and more)..1300 stainless steel fridges, pool tables, slot machines, free casino chips..plinko (550.00!!) . Also show case prizes were really great. (Car, trip and even Steve Drane motorcycle). Bid low, most were USA prices. I will definately go back again. I paid to be entertained and I was. I did not pay and EXPECT to get something for nothing. Would really recommend. Thank you to announcers, stage helpers and of course the host Jerry Springer. (A Victoria Fan)
This show was HORRIBLE. Don't waist your money. It was NOTHING AT ALL like the price is right TV show. The prizes were lame......and impossible to win!!!!! PLEASE Don't waist your time or money. All the people that we spoke with following the show were also highly dissappointed! Prizes included GPS navigators, 10,000 save on more points, $25 gift cards, T-shirts, Top prize in planko was $500 NOT 10,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just really dissapointing:(
Absolutely amazing show! PLEASE come back to Caesars Windsor. It was a fantastically exciting and entertaining show. We absolutely loved it (both days that we went). Of course I could be a little biased since I actually got called up on stage, but even so - it was great fun to cheer people on.
I went last year and am so excited to find out The Price Is Right LIVE will be returning in 2012! I'll definitely be attending again... and this year... a car (or trip) will be mine!
Fun, entertaining, great prizes and an inexpensive night out! Would definitely recommend this to people I know.
