About

The Rolling Stones are one of the most influential and longest-lasting bands to cross over during the ’60s British Invasion. The group stands as one of the best-selling acts of all time with 200 million records sold worldwide, and is responsible for two of the highest-grossing tours of all time within the last two decades. Blending blues and rock, the first main lineup of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts broke out in 1965 with their first chart-topping album Out of Our Heads and back-to-back Hot 100 No. 1 singles “(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction” and “Get Off of My Cloud.” The group topped the Hot 100 again with 1966’s “Paint It, Black,” 1967’s “Ruby Tuesday” and 1969’s “Honky Tonk Women.” With the addition of guitarist Mick Taylor, The Rolling Stones released their second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with 1971’s Sticky Fingers, kicking off a streak of eight consecutive chart-topping debuts through 1981’s Tattoo You. Ronnie Wood made his debut as Taylor’s full-time replacement with 1978’s Some Girls, which hosted the group’s Hot 100 No. 1 “Miss You.” The Rolling Stones were the recipients of The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 1987, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989. They collected their first of three career Grammy Awards in 1995. The group broke the record for highest-grossing tour in 1990 and reclaimed the top spot in 1995 and 2007, becoming the only band to headline the highest-grossing tour of the decade twice. The No Filter World Tour from 2017 to 2021 closed as the fifth highest-earning tour ever. Most recently, the band released their first album of original material in 18 years, 2023’s Hackney Diamonds.

    Stones can still rock!

    by D on 2019-07-12Burl’s Creek Event Grounds - Oro-Medonte

We had golds at Burl's Creek. We managed to be right at the fence before the mosh pit. So maybe 25 feet from the stage. Evening was perfect weather. Mick did an excellent job of singing and dancing on the left side of the stage, the right side and down the middle stage extension. I noticed one song where the first couple of notes were off but aside from that played the favorites. So many songs to choose. Keith did 2 songs without Mick. Mick can still move pretty good! Great energy at the concert. The downfall was the disorganized exiting from the field parking. Literally sat not moving for an hour. Also merchandise stalls were so slow. People stood in line for 3 hours!! Thanks Stones. You were on my daughter's bucket list! Check.

    Just so fantastic

by Sharon on 2019-07-11Burl’s Creek Event Grounds - Oro-Medonte

Such a wonderful lineup for this show! As expected, the Stones blew my mind. They sound the same as ever. I've never seen anything quite like that. I felt it was a it poorly organized but otherwise it was really really great

    First Timer

by Hippie on 2019-07-10Gillette Stadium - Foxborough

There’s something magical when Charlie, Ronnie, Keith and Mick walk in stage and entertain the audience of 70K. Mick is and will always be the world’s best front man. He danced like a kid! The greatest band EVER!!!

My 3 kids had a blast

by Mick on 2019-07-09FedExField - Landover

They once again proved why they are the Greatest Rock and Roll Band ever! It was so much fun to take my children age 16, 19 and 22 with me. It's a memory of a lifetime for them. I hope they have a 60th Anniversary Tour!!

    This show was utterly amazing!

by Spicollii on 2019-07-09Burl’s Creek Event Grounds - Oro-Medonte

The Stones rocked start to finish! Getting to the venue was easy, good information online, well marked on the highway, and very organized upon arrival, one of the best I've seen in fact. As you already know, leaving was the biggest friggen disaster I've ever encountered in my 44 years of existence. It was equivalent to the traffic flow of any major city in a developing nation. There should have been some cows, rickshaws, hawkers or bamboo wagons in the surrounding fields to offer some sort of obstacle to avoid, and create any sort of traffic flow! Disappointing to say the least. Thats it. The Rolling Stones were amazing! Burl's organization sucked sweaty burls.

The Stones? Amazing! Burls Creek? Not so much.

by MariaG on 2019-07-08Burl’s Creek Event Grounds - Oro-Medonte

The Rolling Stones never disappoint well except this is the second time I've seen them, quite possibly their last concert in Canada and again they did not play Beast of Burden :( :( Otherwise concert was great. The venue on the other hand had an exceptional shortage of food trucks for the amount of people that were attending. They could easily have double the amount of food trucks to alleviate the gigantic lines. Lineups to get out were crazy and not helpful to have people constantly cutting in to get out sooner, thus making it harder for those of us that were waiting impatiently.

    Once in a lifetime concert

    by Alicatz03 on 2019-07-07FedExField - Landover

This concert was amazing. The seats were comfortable. The food and drink were a little overpriced. The opportunity to see the Rolling Stones play live in concert and for my mom to have a great time was awesome.

    Great concert, nightmare logistics

    by M. B. on 2019-07-06Burl’s Creek Event Grounds - Oro-Medonte

The Rolling Stones concert was great! However, the venue can do much better on logistics: • I waited for more than 30 minutes in line for one of the food stations, without moving by more than 2 feet! It looked the same at all food stations. I gave up and went to the concert on an empty stomach because there was no chance I could get through the line in under 1 hour. The venue needs a lot more food stations to cater to such a big crowd. • Getting out of the parking after the concert was a nightmare. Imagine a venue that can have 70,000 people with no easy access by public transit, which means possibly 30,000 cars trying to get out of a parking a lot at the same time, on a country road that has one lane only! It simply doesn't add up. It took me more than an hour to exit the parking lot! For many people, it was much longer, and many of us were driving back to Toronto (another 90 minutes on the road). The Rogers Centre in Toronto would have been a much better venue for a big crowd like that. I probably will never go back to Burl's Creek.

One of the best organized events I've been to. Drive right in. Set up camp. Drink all day. Awesome concert. Get up sober up and leave.

    Burl’s Creek

    by T. G. on 2019-07-06FedExField - Landover

The show as always was amazing no complaints with the band The venue isn’t that bad except getting out after the show was terrible I stayed in Barrie but got back at 4:30 am due to the amount of cars and only one exit onto 7th line Also I think porta potties could have been more evenly spread out Was lucky to be in the pit so we had our own area Same as food only 2 vendors close to pit Don’t think I’ll return to this venue unless it’s the Stones

    Phenomenal

by Mick's Lick on 2019-07-05Burl’s Creek Event Grounds - Oro-Medonte

From the moment Mick walked out onto the stage, we in the diamond north section never again sat down in our $500 seats, except to relax once during one of Keith's songs. You would never know Mick was 75 and turning 76 on July 26! and that he just had a heart valve transplant. He looked like a 19-year-old. He never stopped moving. Singing, smiling, playing the guitar, walking, strutting, waving, pointing, gyrating (thank you so much for that by the way, Mick!). Always involving the audience. Always letting us know we were important to him and to the rest of The Rolling Stones. Always Go, Go, Go! Great selection of music (except for one called Sad, Sad, Sad? We could have done without that one. It was perfect weather all day and night at Burls Creek near Barrie, Ontario, Canada. unfortunately the organizers did not plan for enough food trucks. Once my friends and I decided on what we thought was the shortest line (each line for every food truck had at least two to three hundred people) we had to wait an hour in the hot sun to get to the order window. After ordering, we were told to get into the back of the line next to us and we had to wait another hour to get to the pick-up window to get our small pizza slice for $13.75 US. They had sold out of water too. It took us almost three hours to get from our designated parking spot in a farmer's field to the little country road that would eventually take us to the highway. Some people said it took four hours. The concert ended with a pleasing display of fireworks. All things taken into consideration, I would definitely do it all over again. I am thinking of hopping onto a plane and going somewhere to watch them play again. This could very well be their last time! I love you Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones!

    Concert was great.

by Mags on 2019-07-04Burl’s Creek Event Grounds - Oro-Medonte

Concert was great. Venue was terrible. Not enough food trucks. Not enough alcohol outlets and definitely not enough merchandise vendors. Lineups were ridiculous. Didn’t buy merchandise because if the line. Would have liked more food but wasn’t going back into line. THEN it took 2 1/4 hours to get out after the concert. This is disgusting. Glad there wasn’t any emergencies. Granted going into country roads so suggest more exits and police that actually know how to direct traffic. Oddly enough, toilet facilities were fine. Would probably not go to this venue again.

    Mismanaged Parking

by William McNally on 2019-07-04Burl’s Creek Event Grounds - Oro-Medonte

The Stones were great but Burl's Creek was not. Purchased VIP parking for $95. The last 3km inbound took 1.5 hours. Out-bound we were stuck in the parking lot for 2.5 hours. Minimal police presence. Few employees managing traffic. 8th Line should have been two lanes in one direction. Very badly managed. Won't attend a concert there again.

    Good thing for the Stones...

by Mike on 2019-07-04Burl’s Creek Event Grounds - Oro-Medonte

Easy to enter parking. Easy to enter park. Then things start to change...3 hour line up for t-shirts...2 hour lineup for food...missed most of the other bands. The stones were amazing...great show!!! Then a 3 hour wait to get out of the parking lot. After all these years running things at Burls Creek you would think things would have been smoother. That will be my only concert in that playground.

    Absolutely phenomenal!

by rmo on 2019-07-04Burl’s Creek Event Grounds - Oro-Medonte

Honestly the best concert I will ever see in my lifetime and I truly believe that. They were outstanding and did not disappoint in the slightest. It's amazing they still sound THAT good after so many years. The event as a whole was awesome, the lineup was great, crowd was fun and had no issues whatsoever.

by dlap on 2019-07-04Burl’s Creek Event Grounds - Oro-Medonte

The bands were amazing. Sound was great. Main stage set up was terrific. Parking and washrooms were set up well. Their was an inadequate number of food carts which forced me to skip dinner. Some water refill stations would have been more environmentally sound.

    Fantastic!!

by TK on 2019-07-04Burl’s Creek Event Grounds - Oro-Medonte

Mick and the boys (and awesome female singer) delivered as expected. Two hours of pure entertainment, smiles all around. The crowd was singing the favorites. Only a subtle wait from the posted starting time to get everyone pumped. Main stage warm up bands were right on time and also entertained nicely. However alcohol and merchandise pricing was through the roof (they must be taking notes from MLSE -lol).
